Lifelong Democrat said he will support Rogers over DSA-backed Abdul El-Sayed

Former Jill Biden Press Secretary Abandons Party, Backs GOP Senate Candidate

Jill Biden’s former press secretary Julian Epstein is breaking with the Democratic Party and backing Republican Mike Rogers in Michigan’s Senate race.

The lifelong Democrat said he will support Rogers over DSA-backed Abdul El-Sayed after El-Sayed narrowly defeated Rep. Haley Stevens in the Democratic primary.

“After decades of giving my all for Democratic House and Senate candidates, this fall I will support — and contribute to — Mike Rogers,” Epstein wrote. He added that he will do everything he can to convince other Democrats to follow.

Epstein said the Democratic Party is failing to confront the rise of Democratic Socialists of America candidates. He singled out Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman as an exception.

Dan Franzese running in Florida District 25

Trump-backed conservative Dan Franzese launches ‘America First’ bid for Florida’s new 25th District

PALM BEACH, Fla. — Republican businessman Dan Franzese announced his candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives in Florida’s newly redrawn 25th Congressional District, launching his campaign on a strict “America First” platform.

Franzese, who was the Republican nominee for the state’s 22nd Congressional District in 2024, enters the race as a political outsider, positioning himself as a disruptor to traditional Washington politics.

“Florida families have been betrayed by career politicians far too many times,” Franzese said in a statement. “As a political outsider from the business world, President Trump has been draining the swamp, delivering secure borders, and an America First agenda. In Congress, I’ll use that same experience to back him up, make life more affordable again, and hold career politicians accountable.”

The newly configured 25th district encompasses portions of Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties. The boundaries were altered last month during a special session of the state legislature. The new district heavily overlaps with Franzese’s former running territory in the old 22nd district, where he secured an endorsement from Trump during his 2024 bid.

Franzese’s platform focuses heavily on economic relief and border security, promising to align with Trump’s federal initiatives to curb inflation, lower energy costs, cut taxes, and crack down on illegal immigration. A Wharton MBA graduate from a blue-collar background, Franzese has spent recent years embedding himself in South Florida’s grassroots conservative and faith communities. His campaign released an internal polling memo showing strong favorability among voters familiar with him from his previous congressional run.

The seat is currently held by veteran Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz. However, following the introduction of the new maps, Wasserman Schultz announced that she is abandoning her reelection bid in the 25th District to run in the neighboring, more securely Democratic 20th District.

Wasserman Schultz’s sudden exit has left the FL-25 race wide open on both sides of the aisle. On the Republican side, Franzese enters a primary field that currently includes candidates Michael Carbonara and Claudia Villatoro, with recent political reporting suggesting that the vast majority of primary voters remain undecided.

Senate District 87 Special election - Vote Jon Maples

John Maples in special election on Tuesday, March 24

Senate District 87

The District 87 candidates are Republican Jon Maples, a former Lake Clarke Shores council member, and Democrat Emily Gregory, a small business owner.

Maples and Gregory are competing to succeed Republican Mike Caruso, who was appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to succeed Joe Abruzzo as Palm Beach County's clerk and comptroller.

Maples has been endorsed by Trump, Attorney General James Uthmeier and a slew of GOP state lawmakers that includes Florida Speaker-designate Sam Garrison and state Reps. Anne Gerwig, Jon Snyder and “MAGA” Meg Weinberger are backing Maples, as are Lake Worth Beach Commissioner Mimi May and former state Rep. MaryLynn Magar.

The Palm Beach County district — which runs up the coast through Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, Juno Beach and Hypoluxo — has gone without representation since August.

Minnesota's shadow looms over Ohio

Red State Outed in New Somali Childcare Fraud Scandal, RINO Governor Ignores It

Red State Outed in New Somali Childcare Fraud Scandal, RINO Governor Ignores It

The ‘Cost of Doing Business’ Is Betrayal

While patriots like Josh Williams are ready to fight, the Mike DeWine administration is content to point to flimsy “anti-fraud measures” that they implicitly admit are broken. They see a raging fire and respond by drafting a memo about the historical prevalence of arson.

This weak-kneed response is an insult to every Ohioan. It signals that the governor’s mansion is occupied by an administrator, not a leader. In an era where conservatives are demanding fighters who will defend their values and their wallets, Governor DeWine has shown he is merely a caretaker of a corrupt system.

And here’s the truly infuriating part. This isn’t some brand-new scheme nobody saw coming. We’ve already seen this horror movie. It played out right next door in Minnesota, which was rocked by one of the largest COVID-era fraud schemes in the nation. Hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars were stolen through fake meal programs, much of it orchestrated within the state’s large Somali community.

The warning signs for Ohio could not be clearer. As the Breitbart report notes, “Columbus is the second largest home to Somalis in the country after Minneapolis, Minnesota.” This is not an attack on a community; it is a recognition of a pattern.

A massive, brazen fraud was perpetrated by members of a specific community in one state, and now an identical situation is brewing in another state with a large population from that same community.

Kevin Steele running for Florida's CFO against Blaise Ingoglia

Kevin Steele is a business leader and conservative fighter running for Florida Chief Financial Officer

His objective--to cut waste, lower costs, and hold government accountable to the people.

  • Cut Waste & Corruption: Root out inefficiency, fraud, and political bloat at every level of state government.
  • Protect Taxpayers: Keep more of your hard-earned money where it belongs — in your pocket.
  • Slash Property Insurance Costs: Deliver real solutions to lower premiums and stabilize the market.
  • Eliminate Property Taxes on Homesteads: Let Floridians truly own their homes, tax-free.
  • Run Government Like a Business: Efficient, accountable, results-driven — no excuses, no nonsense.
Florida’s affordability debate is now spilling into the Republican primary for chief financial officer. State Rep. Kevin Steele is mounting a challenge against Gov. Ron DeSantis–backed incumbent CFO Blaise Ingoglia.

Steele, one of the wealthiest lawmakers in the Florida Legislature and a staunch ally of former President Donald Trump, says his background as a business executive uniquely positions him to tackle rising insurance costs, property taxes, and what he describes as government inefficiency.

“That’s a big question everybody asks,” Steele said when asked why he wants the job. “I think my entire life has built up to this point. My career and the companies I’ve built has been around, you know, improving processes, reducing fraud and abuse. But we have a major issue with affordability in the state of Florida, and I think we need to address that issue.”

A former healthcare technology executive who sold his company in 2017, Steele says he would bring a CEO-style mindset to the CFO’s office — leaning on technology, internal audits, and what he calls “out-of-the-box” thinking to cut waste at both the state and local levels.

You now can call him, Judge Barnett

Barnett served as the elected Chairman of the Republican Party of Palm Beach County from December 2014 until he resigned in April 2023 to focus on his governmental role.

You can now call one former Palm Beach County Commissioner "Your Honor"

Governor Ron DeSantis this week appointed Mike Barnett to the Palm Beach County Court, following a nomination from the Judicial Nominating Commission.

This follows a previous DeSantis appointment of Barnett to the County Commission to fill a seat vacated by Dave Kerner, who left in 2022 to lead the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Barnett, an attorney with the Shiner Law Group up until his judicial appointment, ran unsuccessfully for a full-term on the County Commission last year.

In a statement, he says he is "deeply honored and humbled" by the appointment and looks forward to "upholding the highest standards of integrity, impartiality, and faithfulness to the law."

Barnett has also been appointed by the governor to the Board of Trustees for Palm Beach State College. [By Joel Malkin]

Texas proposes new Congressional Redistricting maps

Texas House Committee Approves New Congressional Map

A Texas state House panel on Saturday advanced proposed congressional maps that aim to make the Lone Star State’s district lines even friendlier to Republicans.

The Texas House Select Committee on Congressional Redistricting voted to advance a set of maps that would give Republicans five more pick-up opportunities ahead of 2026 and would impact lawmakers in the Dallas-Forth, Austin, Houston and Rio Grande Valley areas.

The move tees up a floor vote in the House, where the map will be considered by all members. With an 88-62 GOP majority in the state House, the maps are expected to pass the lower chamber easily.

President Trump is looking to pick up five seats in Texas as Republicans brace for an unfavorable political environment in the midterms next year. Republicans are considering pick-up opportunities in Missouri, Indiana and Florida as well.

Jack Ciattarelli gets the NJ Governor's endorsement from Local 825

Top Union Sticks Dagger In Democratic Party’s Back As New Jersey Gov Race Heats Up

One of New Jersey’s most influential unions broke ranks Thursday, endorsing Republican Jack Ciattarelli for governor over Democratic Rep. Mikie Sherrill.

The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 825, which represents some 8,000 heavy equipment operators, endorsed Ciattarelli as an antidote to the “crisis of common sense” gripping New Jersey under Democratic leadership, citing high energy costs and what it views as an increasingly unworkable green agenda.

“New Jersey is at a crossroads,” Greg Lalevee, the union’s business manager, told the New Jersey Globe. “We face an energy crisis, an affordability crisis and a crisis of common sense … We need a governor who will tackle our challenges and not cave to the fringe political voices. Jack Ciattarelli understands New Jersey and what needs to be done to fix our great state.”

Republican Dave McCormick beat long-time incumbent in Pennsylvania

Trump, messaging and money: How Dave McCormick unseated Bob Casey in Pennsylvania's Senate race

Aside from once-and-future President Donald Trump's unexpectedly decisive win, one of the most surprising results in Tuesday's election was Republican Dave McCormick's apparent victory over three-term U.S. Sen. Bob Casey Jr., D-Pa.

Casey held the Senate seat since 2007 and his father was a past Governor of Pennsylvania.

Casey has not conceded the race, (McCormick is ahead by 40,238 votes) and it's possible that the narrow-margin lead will trigger Pennsylvania's automatic recount process once more ballots are counted. But the Associated Press called the race for McCormick on Thursday, and Casey faces major obstacles in reversing the result.

Although McCormick had Trump's coattails and an apparently successful messaging strategy, none of that would be enough without money. And thanks to a Wall Street-backed super PAC, McCormick had a ton of it.

Keystone Renewal PAC was the only outside spending group that was dedicated solely to Pennsylvania's Senate race. A vast majority of the rest of the money spent in the race came from the candidates' campaigns and their parties.

Hell, I even sent him $50 bucks.

Dan Franzese running to beat Lois Frankel and to put Florida First

Lois Frankel may try to tell you she is a moderate politician

but make no mistake—she’s far more radical than she wants you to believe

Frankel's Far-Left Ties
For years, Frankel was a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, the most extreme wing of the Democratic Party. This group has pushed for open borders, defunding the police, hostility to Israel, and radical environmental policies that hurt hardworking Floridians. Frankel didn’t just stand by quietly—she was an active supporter of their agenda.

What She Really Believes
Frankel’s actions speak louder than words. While she tries to pretend she is a moderate, the truth is that she’s always aligned herself with the most extreme voices in Washington. She has supported policies that:

• Make life harder for small businesses
• Back handouts for illegal immigrants
• Don’t protect women
• Prioritize a far-left agenda over Florida’s families

Out of Touch with Florida Values While families here struggle with inflation and crime, Frankel is focused on pushing her party’s far left agenda rather than helping the people she’s supposed to represent. This is not leadership—it’s betrayal.

Conservatively yours,
Dan Franzese
Republican Candidate for Florida's 22nd Congressional District

Former top executive voting for Trump

Former PayPal President Switches Parties, Endorses Trump

Former president of PayPal David Marcus announced he has switched political parties and endorsed Donald Trump via X, the site formerly known as Twitter.

The tech entrepreneur, who recently headed up Messenger at Meta, announced he was “crossing the Rubicon and backing the Republican Party” as well as the campaign of former President Donald Trump.

In his lengthy post, Marcus cites an “eye-opening process of disenchantment, zero-basing lifelong beliefs, and rebuilding” in order to reach his ultimate conclusion.

I am crossing the Rubicon and backing the Republican Party and President Trump.

Many — including a former version of myself — get trapped in a mental framework that becomes their identity and prevents them from radically evolving their thinking with new facts and information. I finally broke free from it.

"Biden''s asleep at the wheel"

Former Supporter Who Fundraised Millions for Obama Flips to Trump

Have you ever heard of a Republican changing party affiliation to Democrat? No, me either

Huynh, along with her then-husband Google programmer Scott Hassan, helped raise millions of dollars for the Obama campaign in 2008. She recently discussed her departure from the Democrat Party and her newfound support for Trump. She will now be an Independent.

Allison Huynh said that there isn’t a single cause for her departure but rather a chain of events. She elaborated by saying that the Democrat Party is too concerned with policing non-criminals and ignoring the need to make neighborhoods safer.

She said that the Democrats were enforcing the incorrect policies. She claimed that our city needs to crack down on a number of issues, including the prevalence of violent crime in San Francisco, instances of public defecation, heroin overdoses seen by her children, and the practice of letting shoplifters parade through grocery stores and causing their closures. She was upset that there were no grocery stores around anymore.

Huynh told the media that she went to a Trump fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago not long ago and was surprised by her interaction with the former President. She said that Trump was knowledgeable, humorous, and lighthearted. Huynh expressed her satisfaction with Trump’s understanding of current events and the economy.
