At 9:30 I was voter number 31. Today's primary is very important to several elections:

Kristin Jacobs/Lois Frankel in District 22. The winner today will run against Republican Adam Hasner in November's General Election.

Mack Bernard/Jeff Clemens in District 27. The winner of this primary will be our new State Senator District 27.

Kristin Jacobs for Congress

A lot of politicians are steering away from President Obama--not Kristin. View her first television election ad for Congress District 22.

Karoke and Kristin

Comment Up

That's we we got last night--Karaoke and Kristin as it was Karaoke night at The Cottage and Kristin Jacobs was there to give us her tune as to why she should be our next Congresswoman District 22, the very same District where Allen West was such a success. She worked the room and introduced herself to all who came to meet and hear her speak.

With personality plus, she is a warm and friendly gal...someone you immediately like. We don't know much about Kristin here in Palm Beach County and she is running against a power house in Lois Frankel. Right up front I told her I was a registered Democrat and an Allen West supporter. That usually startles most people but Kristin took it in stride admitting that our country faces a lot of challenges right now.

Kristin serves as Chair of the Broward County Climate Change Task Force, Chair of the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority, Chair of the Energy Committee for the National Association of Counties, and serves on the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization. She was also recently selected as Chair of President Obama’s White House National Ocean Council Governance Coordinating Committee. (I should have asked her about that!) Currently she is Broward County's Vice Mayor and Commissioner.

Believing that people have a right to drink clean water, breath clean air, learn in safe schools and earn fair wages, as well as have a right to Social Security and Medicare programs that keep our seniors healthy and financially sound, Kristin says that she is what is needed in Washington.

For more on Kristin Jacobs, visit her on Facebook or follow her feed. The Primary is August 14.

Kristin Jacobs

After getting a "duel" endorsement from the AFL/CIO--

“I’m honored to have the support of working families from across the state. I have fought for working families throughout my career in Broward County and when I’m elected to Congress I won’t forget where I came from. I will continue to stand up for working families and bring people together to create good-paying jobs and strengthen the public education system.”

~ Kristin Jacobs, Democratic candidate for District 22 Primary

Kristin is having a Meet & Greet tonight at The Cottage. I swore that I would never set foot in The Cottage after the trumped up and false anti Gay/Lesbian charges hurled by them against our former city manager. However, I want to meet anyone going up against Lois Frankel.
