Footloose, the Musical at the Lake Worth Playhouse

Actors cut loose at 'Footloose' auditions at Lake Worth Playhouse

I have tickets to this play--can't wait.

“You go through life and there’s things that you think you can’t do, like so many people say they can’t sing. I taught myself to sing and I thought if [actor] Zac Efron can do it, I can do it,” said Tom Copeland, who landed the role of Chuck."

I contacted Lake Worth's Tom Copeland and he confirmed that it was he who got the part!

Suburban Lake Worth Beach

Where it's all happening!

FHP: Clerk issued fraudulent driver's licenses to dozens of drivers

Hahaha...this is great. In the body of this article it says this all happened in "suburban Lake Worth Beach."

So much for a name change commissioners and ill-informed voters. I can't even blame Tom Copeland on this.

Herman Robinson in a Landslide

Commissioner District #4 - LAKE WORTH

No surprise as Tom Copeland conceded the election and the Robinson campaign made sure that every voter in Lake Worth knew about it.

Congratulations to Commissioner Robinson on his re-election.

District 4 will have a Run-Off election & Omari Hardy District 1 takes Oath

Based on the Charter of Lake Worth, there will be a Run-Off election on March 26 between Herman Robinson and Tom Copeland as neither candidate got 50% plus 1--Robinson had 48.6% and Copeland 27.5%.

In spite of the fact that Tom Copeland conceded, the city will have another election costing approximately $25,000. The City is, and always has been, paranoid about lawsuits and therefore did not accept Tom Copeland's concession. As a reminder, Herman Robinson always said he would only run for one term.

Omari Hardy at 50:09 of the video gave his 5 minute thoughtful and impassioned  comments, saying "We must have peace on the dais."

Candidates on Lake Worth name change

Lake Worth or Lake Worth Beach? What do the candidates say?

Omari Hardy: NO on changing name of our city
Cathy Turk: YES on name change

Herman Robinson: YES on name change
Richard Guercio: NO
Tom Copeland: YES
William Joseph: No opinion

There are only two candidates to vote for:  Omari Hardy in District 1 and Richard Guercio in District 4, not only for their stand on the city retaining its name, but for many other issues as well that benefit our health and welfare.

On a Scale of 1 - 5 - Last Night's Candidate Forum

With #1 being the best--

I always surprise myself---choosing an ultra-liberal such as Omari as Top Dog at last night's NAPC Candidate debate. He was the most articulate and intelligible of all the candidates and I agreed with his platform. He looked professional and sounded the same, does his research and hones in on the goal. I swear, he must have been on the debating team at the U of Miami.

I do want to give credit to all the candidates. This ranking is not meant to insult anyone. It's not an easy job running for office as a lot of former candidates and commissioners will attest. All candidates, especially the newbees, will improve their skills as they debate at neighborhood associations within the next month or so. This ranking very well could change!

Let me know what you think of the "debate" and the rankings above. Who do you feel stood out from the pack?

Tom Copeland running against Herman Robinson

Tom Copeland shared a post — in Lake Worth, Florida. Yesterday at 7:18 AM

"Hey, guess what? I'm running for City Commissioner for this amazing little city we live in called Lake Worth šŸŒ“šŸ¤— And if I'm elected, you're going to be hearing a different story about who Lake Worth is, and where the city is heading.

I'm making a bold commitment to infrastructure redevelopment, tourism, and economic prosperity, with a marketing and communications plan that ensures the rest of the county, and beyond, knows that something special worth watching is happening in this charming little beach town on Florida's Gold Coast.

Will you join me and my team of early supporters? Please "Like" my campaign page, and make a $5, $10, or $25 donation at www.TomForLakeWorth.com to help us kickstart this new era! If you don't live in Lake Worth, you can still make a small donation and wish me luck! Thanks! -T"
