Zelensky wants more millions from allies to hold wartime elections

Zelensky: US And EU Must Help If Ukraine Holds Wartime Elections

Lindsey Graham is pushing Zelesnky to have wartime elections?

Under current law, Ukrainian elections cannot occur under martial law. Since the invasion, Kyiv has extended martial law in 90-day increments. The latest extension expires on November 15.

Kyiv says it needs help to ensure voting access for millions of displaced persons, especially from the European Union. Ultimately, Zelensky said elections can occur if the legislature approves, Ukraine's allies share the cost and everyone has the ability to vote.

The invasion has displaced approximately 17 million Ukrainians. Most have fled to neighboring countries to the west.

Zelensky said, “I will not take money from weapons and give it to elections. And this is stipulated by the law.” So, forget about spending any of the approximate $60 billion we have already sent to him--he wants more!

It's Never Enough for Zelenskyy

Zelenskyy Extends Greedy Hand with MORE Demands for U.S.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already received BILLIONS in aid from the United States. However, that is not enough, if you ask him.

The greedy leader is now demanding for the U.S. to provide a “full protective shield” of air defense systems to Ukraine, citing a campaign of what he referred to as “Russian missile terror.”

Zelenskyy wants Western allies to provide MORE anti-aircraft systems to protect the entire country. Where are all the billions in military equipment and taxpayer dollars that have already been sent over?

Zelenskyy will make sure that he drags us into a World War. He just put out this scary video--

Twitter video

And knowing the bleeding heart of a president we have, Joe Biden and his administration are probably already drafting the checks to be sent right now.

Afghan Ghost Soldiers - Major Fraud in Afghanistan

We have paid Afghani soldiers hundreds of millions of dollars who did not exist. The disturbing news is that the Obama administration knew about this 3 or 4 years ago. Our government was even warned about this years ago from the Afghan president, Ashraf Ghani, even before he became president of Afghanistan.

It's all about the Money

Do you know what is perishing in America?  It's not the Colin Kapernick's of the world--he's still in the minority of P.C's who think it cool to diss the greatest country on Earth. No, it's government of the people, by the people and for the people.

I believe that every candidate should run with the exact same amount of money.  This will eliminate a lot of the corruption in our elections that is controlled by special interests. Even in our own local elections, there is a startling disparity. The reason it is so hard to defeat incumbents is because of the connections they have accumulated and the special favors they do to get the endorsements and the contributions. A newcomer has no prayer or little chance to win as the campaign contributions are difficult to attain.  It takes a lot of money just to get name recognition.

County Commission seat District 1:
Hal Valeche:  $177,801
Tony Bennett:  $7,650

 County Commission seat District 3:
 Dave Kerner: $169,041
 Sean Hogan: $7,100

 County Commission Seat District 5:
 Mary Lou Berger: $103,375
 Taniel Shant $36,995

Under the above scenarios, who has the overwhelming chance of winning? Campaign finance reform is an American issue. We need to seriously think about it if we want democracy.

From Russia with $35 million - Crooked Hillary

As Trump would say, "Crooked Hillary."  She is and has been a menace to our national security and now we find out it is her campaign manager playing footsies with the Russians. Although Trump says that Putin likes him, it seems he knows where his money would be better spent.

(Breitbart) – "Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta sat on the board of a small energy company alongside Russian officials that received $35 million from a Putin-connected Russian government fund, a relationship Podesta failed to fully disclose on his federal financial disclosures as required by law.

That’s one of the many revelations from a 56-page report released late Sunday titled “From Russia with Money: Hillary Clinton, the Russian Reset, and Cronyism” by the non-partisan government watchdog group, the Government Accountability Institute (GAI). Breitbart Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon holds the same title in GAI and Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Peter Schweizer serves as GAI’s president.

Both the New York Post and the Wall Street Journal ran stories on the newly released report late Sunday evening."

Where do we go from here? Post Election

Comment Up

We have a deception epidemic going on, not only nationally with politicians but right here in our own small city.  And I use the word "deception" as a mild example of what's going on--it is really lying through your teeth and getting away with it.

It used to be a great city where everyone knew everyone on a first name basis.  No one bothered with your property and you could sleep at night with your doors unlocked.  People told the truth. What has changed it?  The only conclusion that I have is density...more people, more crime, more deceit, more lies. Developers want control and politicians are being compromised for the love of money. It's all about greed and power.

In this past election we had two of the three campaign evils--Money and Lies.  The only thing missing was Sex and that was probably there somewhere. We just live in changed times now.  There is so much at stake in elections where deceit has become the norm and lies are tolerated. People know that politicians are telling lying whoppers but they don't care--it's about winning.  It's about what the best thing is for "me." And these people take no prisoners. It's perfectly alright to "bring down the other guy" because all is fair in love and war. And big money only gets involved if there is a reason.

Unfortunately, we still have a side in this city that has never succumbed to that love and war theory. They turn the other cheek but seethe in silence. They still want to be the good guys.  Send out nice little mailers...warm and fuzzy stuff that tell the truth. But good guys are no longer winning the game. Our city was up for grabs and there was a lot at stake. The developer side won. The Liars won.

Those who got annihilated and crushed like bugs are now asking, where do we go from here?

Enterprise Funds in Lake Worth and Hudson Holdings

Comment Up

Former commissioner John Szerdi was in office for two years and eight months. He walked into the position unopposed. Szerdi works for Hudson Holdings, a company that wants to grab our beach. At the Hudson Holding's meeting at our Casino ballroom, Szerdi first said that the beach was an Enterprise Zone.  Later he said that the beach was an enterprise fund. And then again he insisted that it was an Enterprise Zone.  When a resident questioned him about it, he told her she was wrong.

Our casino beach fund is not, according to the city, an enterprise anything. Therefore, the city must rely on funds from our operating budget to pay those expenses when there is a shortfall of revenue to cover the total costs. The only Enterprise Funds that the City of Lake Worth has are the following:

401--Electric Fund
402--Water Fund
403--Local Sewer Fund
405--Regional Sewer
406--Regional Sewer R & R
408--Stormwater Utility Fund
410--Refuse, Collection & Disp
480--Storm Water Utility Fund

Sources: Office of Financial Management;  Municipal Accounts.

Please read my blog of May 27, 2015 on Enterprise and Special Revenue funds.  Is it possible that John Szerdi really didn't know what he was talking about or on several occasions that night intentionally misstated the facts to confuse the residents (something he accused his opponents of doing when he lost his reelection) in his quest to make a point for grabbing our beach complex for his employer, Hudson Holdings?

Well, haste can make waste and in this case it did. Wouldn't you think that the vice mayor would get the date correct in his invitation? Wouldn't you think that the candidate would have had some oversight on this? If you can't get a simple detail like this correct, should you really be involved in $20 to $25 or $63.5 million money grabs?

Financing Discussion tonight in Lake Worth

Comment Up

Although the City Commission, four of whom are advocates for taxing the people for 34 years for infrastructure and road repairs (Maxwell, Triolo, Amoroso and Szerdi), said that the public forums would be advertised in newspapers, etc, I haven't seen much about it. There was a blurb in today's Palm Beach Post local news section.  I would expect tonight's attendance will be the same people as we have seen throughout the election of August 2014 where the city was defeated at the polls on the general obligation bond.

The city is determined to grab the cash...as much as residents might allow.  They are going to "allow" us to speak to taxing methods--all of us retirees, housewives, construction workers, struggling business owners and laborers and middle class working people struggling to stay afloat...people they must believe to be highly knowledgeable on bond financing that has regulatory complexities with interest being double the principal as the last bond proved to us and the then finance director went missing in the night because of his transparency.

An Open Discussion
on Financing Options to Resolve Lake Worth’s Infrastructure Needs

The City Commission will be holding open discussions for citizens to publicly offer their ideas and ask questions about financing options available regarding infrastructure improvements in Lake Worth. “We are excited to continue the discussion on how to fix the infrastructure in Lake Worth” says Mayor Pam Triolo. “We invite residents to bring their ideas on how to pay for the improvements that are desperately needed in Lake Worth.”

Quote from the Past - Fredrich August von Hayek

Comment Up

"With the exception only of the period of the gold standard, practically all governments of history have used their exclusive power to issue money to defraud and plunder the people."

- Fredrich August von Hayek  1976, Nobel laureate economist

Friedrich Hayek wrote these words in a published address called Choice in Currency: A Way to Stop Inflation. In it, Hayek made the argument that the only true way to fight inflation was to keep government honest, and the only way to keep government honest was to take away government’s legal privilege to issue money exclusively.

Questions and Answers on Grabbing the Cash in Lake Worth

Comment Up

Now we learn that the general obligation bond will also be a SLUSH FUND for district commissioners and the neighborhood associations will have a big say in how the money is spent (you know, the NA's that are NOT political)---$800,000 each to be exact, to do what they want for certain improvements whether you as a resident want them or not. This is pay-back time to the NAPC.  No wonder they refused to hold a debate on this issue--$3,200,000 is a lot of do re mi.

Questions to Lake Worth 2020: Saturday, August 09, 2014 1:09 PM and the City's answers

To: LW 2020
Subject: Lake Worth 2020 Questions and Answers

QUESTION:
1. Where can I find a map or chart that shows where features such as street lights, trees, and traffic calming devices will be installed?
ANSWER:
Thank you for your interest in learning more about Lake Worth 2020. I have forwarded the questions. I am not able to answer to the appropriate department for a response.  In answer to some of your questions:.

Question 1 – there is no map; however each district will have $800,000 to use for specific issues such as street lighting and traffic calming devices which is under the category neighborhood enhancements.  How and where they will be installed has not yet been determined; however, the Commissioner from each district as well as the neighborhood associations will be heavily involved in the identifying process.

QUESTION
2.  Where can I find information about the costs for each item in the plan?
ANSWER:
Question 2 – has been referred to the appropriate department

QUESTION:
3.  Is there a way to refuse certain items, for instance, if a traffic calming device is planned for in front on a resident's house (causing noise), can that resident refuse?
ANSWER:
Question 3 – the ballot language is asking for approval of $63.5 million under a plan called Lake Worth 2020.  It does not allow for certain items within 2020 to be voted on separately; however, like my response in Question 2, each district will decide whether or not they want these neighborhood enhancements and where they will be located.

QUESTION:
4.  What are the interest rate projections for the bonds?
ANSWER:
Question 4 – The City’s Financial Advisor estimated the rate to be 5.5%.  This conservative rate was used for the following reasons: a. Three bonds will be issued over a 5-year period.  Estimating what rates will be in 2015, 2017, or 2019 is difficult and consequently, a conservative rate is prudent.  b. The rate is an estimate for use in discussing the program. The final rate for each issue will be determined by market at the time of issuance.  c. Each issue will be sold for the most advantageous rates that can be obtained at the time of issuance d. The ballot question asks for approval of a total amount of debt service.  Each issue will be determined by the marketplace rate at the time of issuance

QUESTION:
5.  I see lots of vacant storefronts on Dixie highway; how will the plan help improve this major artery?
ANSWER:
Question 5 - has been referred to the appropriate department

Is the use of funds from the General Obligation Bond even legal?

Comment Up:
The city answered the question

We question the city on the legality of this money grab of $63.5 million that will ultimately be $131 million by year 2049 to spend on "drainage and water and sewer facilities."  These uses are enterprise funds.  Is this legal? Enterprise funds would be on a Revenue Bond, not a General Obligation Bond.

OFFICIAL BALLOT CITY OF LAKE WORTH, FLORIDA

OMG. He didn't read the book!
He's grinning because he can get away with it.

It has been reported to Lynn's Little Bit of Trivia that he and the city manager have been spotted on various streets knocking on the doors where "AGAINST" signs are erected to turn around the property owners' opinion. It was also stated that a certain West Palm Beach commissioner is doing the same thing. Tell me it "Ain't so, Joe."

Elected officials represent all of us and those in Lake Worth are not allowed to advocate. $50,000 for a marketing campaign is not enough money to "steal" from the people?

Be careful out there...it is HOT, the referendum is HOT and so are the voters when it comes to this money grab!

This guy is voting AGAINST

Yesterday while knocking on doors, I ran into one voter who was complaining about his Republican sample ballot that he had received earlier in the week.  It was missing two crucial elections. Thankfully it had the Lake Worth Money Grab Referendum on it and he assured me he was voting AGAINST.

Vote AGAINST bond

Comment Up

Americans continue to hold a gloomy assessment of the economy’s chances for improvement in both the short- and long-term, according to Rasmussen.  Have you been to the grocery store lately?  It's unbelievable.  Landlords are raising rents and money goes no where. Those in the Service business are raising rates and service, well what is that?  You can't even get a city employee to return a telephone call.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 25% of American Adults believe the U.S. economy will be stronger a year from now. That’s virtually unchanged from 24% in March, the lowest level of optimism recorded in regular tracking since early January 2009 following the Wall Street meltdown. This finding has generally run in the mid-30s to low 40s for most of the last five-and-a-half years.

Timing is everything and for some reason, this commission continues to hit you over the head with a jackhammer and stomp on you by wanting to grab your cash even though most Americans know that the economy sucks and their dollar buys little. The only way you can tell them how you feel and get the message to sink in is to vote on August 26.  Tell them NO way.

Vote against bonds.
