Palm Beach halts plan to drive trucks down Lake Worth's beach

Palm Beach postpones plan to drive trucks down Lake Worth Beach’s public beach

"THERE WON’T BE any trucks driving down Lake Worth Beach’s public beach this winter, spring or summer, but it’s an idea Palm Beach officials might consider again in the fall.

After an internal meeting Jan. 16 between city and town officials, Palm Beach officials told their Lake Worth Beach counterparts that the town will postpone a beach renourishment project for a year, interim city manager Jamie Brown announced at the Jan. 21 City Commission meeting.

The town was expected to complete a sand dredging operation this week and stockpile the sand at Phipps Ocean Park in Palm Beach for the next 10 months or so before considering the project in the fall.

By then, city officials said they hope the town finds an alternative to its plan to transport the sand along a 10-foot-wide strip of town-incorporated land along Lake Worth Beach’s public beach."

Founder of Edison Motors tests his first Electric Semi-Truck

A truck driver just dismantled the entire electric vehicle narrative in just 2 minutes with this bombshell

Joe Biden continues his mad push to force all Americans into electric vehicles.

But everyone from car company CEOs to average American commuters are now questioning EVs.

A truck driver in what is now a viral video (I can't find that video) explained that poor infrastructure and inefficient, heavy electric batteries make it nearly impossible to switch semi-trucks and other large vehicles to fully electric.

You would need 50,000 pounds of batteries.

Chace Barber, a trucker and the founder of Edison Motors, recently appeared in a video during an event showcasing his company’s hybrid truck model.

While Barber has strongly advocated a push toward hybrid semi-trucks, he just as strongly opposes an attempt to go fully electric.

In fact, according to the Independent Journal Review, Barber believes fully electric EVs are a bad idea.

Truck Stuck

Comment Up

Normally we don't see trucks out here but this one got a surprise today--Stuck under the 6th Avenue Bridge overpass on Lake Osborne Drive. Why he was in the middle of the road is a mystery. Perhaps he thought the bridge was higher in the middle? No one traveling south could get around and everyone had to carefully use the left lane.

Ooops - Oreo Cookie Truck takes wrong road

Comment Up

It's very rare to ever see an 18 wheeler on Lake Osborne and when you do, it's a trucker who made a big mistake. He had to turn around as he never would have cleared the 6th Avenue overpass.

These guys sure can drive!
His wheels never touched my lawn.
Oreo cookie truck and nothing fell off the truck...darn!
