Iran threat demands Democrat action

Jeh Johnson urges Congress to fund DHS, warns Iran threat demands action

Jeh Johnson, the man who ran the Department of Homeland Security under Barack Obama, went on "Fox & Friends" Thursday and told Congress to do its job. Fund DHS. End the shutdown. Stop playing games with national security.

It has now been more than a month since Democrats blocked a funding measure and left the Department of Homeland Security operating in limbo. Johnson, no ally of the current administration, made clear he thinks the standoff is indefensible.
"The most basic function of Congress is to keep the lights on and fund the government."
Hard to argue with that. And yet, Senate Democrats have managed to do exactly that for weeks on end.

Johnson didn't just make a process argument. He pointed to something far more urgent.
"Let's not forget that we are now in a heightened threat environment because of the war against Iran, so if there was ever a time that we would need to fund the Department of Homeland Security, it's right now."

Quote of the Day - Jeh Johnson

“Without a doubt the images, and the reality, from 2014, just like 2018, are not pretty. And so we expanded family detention. We had then 34,000 beds for family detention. Only 95 of 34,000 equipped to deal with families. And so we expanded it. I freely admit it was controversial. We believed it was necessary at the time. I still believe it is necessary to remain a certain capability for families.

We can’t have catch and release. And in my 3 years, we deported or repatriated or returned over a million people.

We did not want to go so far as to separate families, but unless we deal with the underlying causes that are motivating people in the first place we are going to continue to bang our heads against the wall on this issue.”

Haitians convicted of serious crimes will be deported

Many Haitians say that the United States is aggravating the crime problem by quadrupling the number of criminal deportees to their native country. Isn't that the way?  Blame someone else for your problems, for your murders, for your heinous crimes? We don't want you here.

Jeh Johnson, Secretary of Homeland Security, released a statement today.  Following is an excerpt of that release.  To read the entire statement,

"Following the tragic January 2010 earthquake in Haiti, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) temporarily ceased removing Haitian nationals to Haiti. On April 1, 2011, ICE announced the resumption of removals on a limited basis of Haitians with final orders of removal and convicted of a serious crime, or who posed a national security threat. Since that time, the situation in Haiti has improved sufficiently to permit the U.S. government to remove Haitian nationals on a more regular basis, consistent with the practice for nationals from other nations.

Yesterday I directed that, effective immediately, enforcement decisions with respect to Haitian nationals should be, consistent standard practice, guided by my memorandum dated November 20, 2014, “Policies for the Apprehension, Detention and Removal of Undocumented Immigrants.” These policies prioritize the removal of convicted felons, individuals convicted of significant or multiple misdemeanors, and individuals apprehended at or between ports of entry while attempting to unlawfully enter the United States."

Now we'll probably hear from some left-wing human rights network.

Even our Homeland Security Chief has willfull blindness

Jeh Johnson, Secretary of Homeland Security, thought to be a communist and a known supporter of illegal immigration, said he “had no idea” what was going on in his own IG or IA departments regarding 800 deleted and altered files and scrubbing words such as Islamic Jihadist Terrorist, Muslim Brotherhood, etc. At around 4:27 into the video, Jeh Johnson says that he has been told that ISIL "has hijacked his religion."

I agree with Donald Trump when he says "Things are bad, very bad folks." Perhaps Mr. Johnson's religion has been hijacked (and that is highly questionable and debatable) but this entire country has as well, thanks to Obama and his questionable appointments. Click here...
