ICE Just Pulled 146 Illegal Alien Truck Drivers Off Indiana Highways And The Licenses Tell A Disturbing Story

Secretary Kristi Noem announced that Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 223 illegal aliens during a joint operation with Indiana State Police along highways near the Illinois border.

The real shocker? 146 of them were truck drivers operating 80,000-pound commercial vehicles on America's highways.

Operation Midway Blitz targeted a stretch of Indiana road where criminal illegal aliens with DUI convictions, drug trafficking records, assault charges, child abuse histories, domestic battery arrests, prostitution charges, and fraud convictions were caught behind the wheel of massive commercial trucks.

More than 40 of those arrested had been issued commercial driver's licenses.

The pattern of where these licenses came from tells you everything you need to know about which states put politics over public safety.

Here’s what should make every American furious about this whole mess.

California passed a law in 2013 that allows residents to obtain driver’s licenses regardless of their immigration status.

Think about that for a second – California politicians decided that foreign nationals who broke federal law to get into our country should be rewarded with the privilege of operating motor vehicles on American roads.

And it gets worse.

This same broken system allowed Singh to get a commercial driver’s license to operate massive trucks, even though he couldn’t understand basic English road signs.

The state of California essentially handed a loaded weapon to someone who had no business being in this country, let alone driving a truck that can kill entire families.

Harjinder Singh, a truck driver and an undocumented immigrant from India, is accused of causing a fatal 18-wheeler crash on the Florida Turnpike on August 12, 2025. He killed three American citizens.

Attorney General James Uthmeier announced Thursday that his office will issue both civil and criminal subpoenas against White Hawk Carriers, the trucking company that employed Singh.

States Must Follow Federal Safety Rules

Trump threatens cuts in funding to states that refuse to enforce trucker English rules

California, Washington and New Mexico could lose millions of dollars of federal funding if they continue failing to enforce English language requirements for truckers, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said Tuesday.

An investigation launched after a deadly Florida crash involving an illegal immigrant truck driver who made an illegal U-turn earlier this month found what Duffy called significant failures in the way all three states are enforcing rules that took effect in June after one of President Donald Trump's executive orders.

Truckers are supposed to be disqualified if they can't demonstrate English proficiency and Duffy said the driver involved in the crash that killed three should not have ever been given a commercial driver's license because of his immigration status.

But the crash has become increasingly political with the governors of California and Florida criticizing each other and Duffy highlighting the Trump administration's immigration concerns in interviews.

“States don’t get to pick and choose which federal safety rules to follow,” Duffy said. “As we saw with the horrific Florida crash that killed three, when states fail to enforce the law, they put the driving public in danger."

Conservative protesters from around the U.S. joined a Truckers' convoy which made its way to a small Texas border town this weekend. A rally was held Saturday near Eagle Pass, where there has been a standoff between federal and Texas authorities over border control.

Hundreds of trucks and vehicles arrived in western Texas Friday night as part of the Take Our Border Back Convoy.

Americans from Tennessee, Maryland, New York, Missouri, Ohio, New Mexico, and many other states gathered Friday night and Saturday in Quemado, Texas, about 150 miles west of San Antonio, to call on elected officials to secure the border.

US Truck Convoy Departs on Cross-Country Trek to Washington to Protest COVID-19 Mandates

Hundreds of truckers and supporters departed a southern California site on Feb. 23 for a trip planned to culminate in the Washington area.

The so-called People’s Convoy, inspired by Canadian truckers who drew international attention, hopes to convince authorities to ease or withdraw COVID-19 vaccine mandates and other restrictions imposed during the pandemic.

The convoy has specific demands, including urging President Joe Biden to rescind his declaration of a national emergency over COVID-19. Biden, a Democrat, on Feb. 20 said the emergency will be extended beyond March 1 because of a “risk to the public health and safety.”

Not one Democrat suggests that Trudeau sit down with the truckers or work out a peaceful resolution. Instead, as progressives tend to do, they view forced compliance as the best way to solve problems.

Facebook removed a group of more than 100,000 people Tuesday evening who were organizing a trucker convoy to Washington, D.C., in protest of vaccine and mask mandates.

The group, “Convoy to D.C. 2022,” gained attention after mass protests in the Canadian capital of Ottawa last weekend, where thousands of truckers from across the country drove to protest the Canadian government’s vaccine mandate for truckers crossing its borders.

The group quickly grew to more than 100,000 members and organizers were planning their own convoy before Facebook shut it down.
