Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth invited Elon Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team to audit the Pentagon

focusing on rooting out waste, fraud, and inefficiency, which has caused frustration among Democrats

Hegseth, a staunch critic of woke identity politics in the military, is committed to strengthening the military and cutting unnecessary spending, starting with programs like climate change initiatives, which he believes should not be funded by the Defense Department.

Trump’s mandate for government efficiency is being carried out through Hegseth’s collaboration with Musk, aiming to save billions of dollars and redirect the funds to supporting warfighters and strengthening national defense.

Democrats and the media have been freaking out about DOGE exposing billions and billions of dollars in waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal bureaucracy.

Hegseth praised Musk as a “great patriot interested in advancing the America First agenda” and reminded Democrats that “Trump got 77 million votes in a mandate from the American people, and part of that is bringing actual businesslike efficiency to government.”

“And I hope to welcome Elon to the Pentagon very soon,” he added. “And his team is working in collaboration with us.”

On Thursday, Secretary Austin announced a new abortion policy for the military. The Pentagon will now pick up travel costs for military who wish to travel out of state for an abortion. Legal?

Austin stated, “Our Service members and their families are often required to travel or move to meet our staffing, operational, and training requirements. “Such moves should not limit their access to reproductive health care.”

• First, abortion is not health care… health care is caring for health, not killing someone.

• Second, using public funds for abortion costs is illegal.

• Third, the only exceptions are stipulated in the Hyde Amendment.

Austin is really splitting hairs here by approving travel costs and not actual procedural costs, but expect this to wind up in the courts very soon.

Austin added, “In my judgment, such effects qualify as unusual, extraordinary, hardship, or emergency circumstances for service members and their dependents and will interfere with our ability to recruit, retain, and maintain the readiness of a highly qualified force.”

So, in essence, Austin has decided to circumvent the Constitution of the United States and Congress.

On another note, the Pentagon supports abortions, but not religious exemptions for vaccines.
