Morgan pointed out the irony of Colbert’s downfall, noting that despite having a 200-person writing team, the show’s humor never evolved beyond Trump-hating rants. “It’s a one-trick pony,” Morgan said. “Trump-bashing, Trump-bashing, Trump-bashing.”

But the real punchline? The American people weren’t laughing. In fact, they responded by re-electing President Trump in 2024, rejecting the whiny, elitist rhetoric of the liberal media. “America went, ‘You know what? We quite like Trump. Mahmoud Khalil was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement over his support for anti-Israel protests at Columbia University last year, leading many to accuse the administration of violating free speech rights. The administration has argued that Khalil is a foreign policy threat and violated the terms of his visa application.
