Who was really running the country?

Gingrich: 'Who made the decisions as though they were president?'

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich appeared on Fox News Thursday and called for the creation of either a joint House-Senate committee or a special commission to investigate whether Joe Biden was mentally incapacitated during his term as president and also whether White House staff concealed it.

In Chris Whipple's new book, former top aide Ron Klain revealed that during debate preparations Biden often struggled and would fall asleep. During an appearance on "Jesse Watters Primetime," Gingrich said that the investigation should not only uncover the truth about Biden's mental fitness but also determine the constitutional implications when people who aren't president make decisions on the president's behalf.

"I think both the House and the Senate should empanel special committees to just focus on this issue. Who was the president? Who lied about the president? Who made the decisions as though they were president?

And what is the constitutional implication of having people who are not the president making these kinds of decisions? I think this is a very serious, profound historic moment, not a political moment. It ought to be a truly bipartisan committee, truly bipartisan effort," Gingrich said.

Newt Gingrich as Speaker?

Newsmax Poll chooses Newt Gingrich as next Speaker

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who served between 1995 and 1999, appeared in a recent poll to be Republican voters’ choice for the Speakership following McCarthy’s removal from his office.

As reported by Newsmax, an InsiderAdvantage survey found that 53 percent of the 850 respondents asked were supportive of Gingrich becoming the House Speaker. Not only that, the former Speaker was leading by 42 percentage points against the second-place option, Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio. The Ohio lawmaker has already announced that he’s launching a bid for the Speaker’s office.

While Gingrich is no longer serving in public office, he continues to be eligible to become the House Speaker. This is because according to the House rules, it is not a requirement for the Speaker to be an elected House Representative.

Newt on our Biggest Constitutional Crisis

America Is Now Facing Its Greatest Constitutional Crisis Since 1850

Former House Republican Newt Gingrich declared on Monday that the United States is on the verge of collapse, overwhelmed by politically-motivated criminal indictments against former President Trump, while he surges ahead of Joe Biden in the polls.

“I think we are drifting towards the greatest constitutional crisis since the 1850s and the rise of secession and the Civil War. I don’t mean that as hyperbole,” said Gingrich.

“So what you’re seeing across the country is a desperate, last-ditch effort by a corrupt machine to destroy their most dangerous opponent in a way which not only breaks the Constitution, destroys the rule of law, and establishes a moment of bitterness which I think will last for a generation or more.

This is going to be a horrendous period, and we just need to understand: the people who want to control America and dictate to the rest of us will break any law, lie about any topic, and manipulate the system any way they can.”

Biden will "kill social security"

Gingrich warns exactly how Joe Biden will kill Social Security

Cites estimates Democrats stripping $900 billion out of programs

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who was key to the GOP takeover of the U.S. House in the 1990s and orchestrated his party's famously successful "Contract with America" for voters, says Joe Biden's new budget plan is a Social Security killer.

In an online posting, he explained, "anyone who wants to protect Social Security and Medicare should reject President Joe Biden's newly released budget."

He said it's not complicated.

Biden committed the Greatest Act of Aggression against one-half of the voters

Gingrich: Biden Committed ‘Greatest Act Of Aggression’ By A US President ‘Against His Own People’ In History

“To have a president of the United States characterize half of his country in the way that Joe Biden does is the greatest act of aggression by an American president against his own people that we have ever seen,” Gingrich stated. “It’s truly an astonishing moment. It doesn’t fit any of our prior history.

“”[This is] the most corrupt Justice Department in all of American history,” Gingrich added. “You have corruption from the attorney general to the head of the FBI to senior elements of the FBI. You have collusion from a wide range of the intelligence community. You had, I think it was 50-some intelligence senior officials who signed a letter last year that we now know was a total lie, none of whom have recanted.”

The former Speaker continued, “I fully expect the Justice Department to indict President Trump in a D.C. court, a district where he got 5.6 percent of the vote. So by 19-1, the jury is likely to be against him. I think this is an all-out effort.”

"You can't be nuttier than this administration"

WATCH House Speaker Destroy Biden On Faulkner

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich slammed the leadership of President Joe Biden’s administration in dealing with Russian President Vladimir Putin during a Tuesday interview on “The Faulkner Focus.”

“We should know after Afghanistan, this is the most timid cowardly and pathetic administration in modern American history,” Gingrich said. “There aren’t any words to express it. If you watch Kamala Harris in Europe, it was an embarrassment to have that person represent the United States because she’s so totally, utterly incompetent. And I think the Europeans have taken our measure. I don’t think anybody in Europe looks to the United States right now to provide any leadership of any kind.”

Quote of the Day - Newt Gingrich

On the Corrupt Trump Haters and FBI

"Hitlery said it first, if not best: “If that fucking bastard (Trump) wins, we all hang from nooses!” Newt Gingrich agrees with her. And, he believes a whole lot of swamp rats are going down with her."

Newt Gingrich on The View

The hosts on The View are among the rudest people on TV...probably the absolute rudest for morning TV. How dare Whoopie call president Trump, "that guy in the Whitehouse?" Newt stands up to the most stupid people on television.

Quote of the Day - Newt Gingrich

“Let’s be very clear here. Adam Schiff, who is the Democrat ranking member, is totally partisan.

This idea that somehow Nunes is different is baloney. It’s all being framed as anti-Republican.

Nobody is going back and suggesting we go back and look at what happened with the Clintons who had vastly greater dealings with Russia than anything that has been suggested about the Trump team.”

Newt Gingrich slaps down Megyn Kelly

Megyn Kelly of Fox News has made Donald Trump a personal vendetta ever since the first debate. She hates Donald Trump. Last night's segment was horrible.  I had to turn her off.  I decided that Rachel Maddow was better viewing and that's really saying something.

Kelly implied that Donald Trump is a sexual predator who "likes to grab women by their genitals." All the women subsequent to the Access Hollywood tape have come out of the woodwork and have made unproven statements. It is a "he said, she said." Megyn, being a lawyer, should know better.

This is what she called Trump, how she shilled for Hillary and what her guest Newt Gingrich said, who she treated abominably as well--

Quote of the Day - Newt Gingrich

Comment Up

“Donald Trump’s going to win because in the end the country is not going to reward big banks and big unions and big bureaucracies and big donors and big corruption by voting for a big liar. And in the end, the country is going to say, you know, whatever Trump’s weaknesses may be, he’s a sincere guy trying very hard to get this country back on the right track.”

Afghanistan - The Longest War in History

Comment Up

Chan Lowe, Sun Sentinal

Isn't it past time that we seriously think about vacating Afghanistan. We are really dealing with CRAZIES over there and the entire mess is making our troops crazy to boot--urinating on dead bodies and then blowing away an entire civilian family.

According to the Pentagon, an Afghan drove a stolen vehicle on to a runway ramp at a military base in southern Afghanistan and then ran from it ablaze as a plane carrying Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta landed there yesterday morning. Mr. Panetta said, “We will be challenged by our enemies, we will be challenged by ourselves, we will be challenged by the hell of war itself.”

The cost of the War in Afghanistan has cost $510,035 billion so far. On Sunday, Newt Gingrich was on Face The Nation and said that it was time for the U.S. to leave Afghanistan. “I think that we have to reassess the entire region. I don’t think that we have the willpower or capacity to fundamentally change the region.”

Newmax says, Afghanistan received $15.7 billion — 90 percent of its public spending — from the U.S. and other NATO donors. After 10 years of NATO and other allied intervention, the country still ranks among the most corrupt in the world.

American fatalities in Afghanistan.

Although we plan on pulling out by the end of 2014, why not now? A new poll just conducted (ABC News - Washington Post) indicates that 60 percent of U.S. citizens believe the war in Afghanistan is not worth its costs. The survey found that only 35 percent of Americans believe the decade-long effort has warranted its expense and loss of life. Perhaps some other country can pick up the slack.

"President Barack Obama must stop apologizing for every misstep in the Afghanistan war — it makes the United States look weak in the eyes of the enemy, Republican Rep. Allen West told NewsmaxTV in an exclusive interview. And if there is no political will to deal with Taliban safe havens in Pakistan, the U.S. might as well remove all troops from the country," he further stated.

Newt endorsed by Tea Party in Space

Comment Up
Newt Gringrich is as spacey as the Tea Party in Space, as it endorses New Gringrich for wanting to put a base on the Moon by 2020.

With all of our immediate problems such as a national debt of over $16 trillion dollars and growing, can we please "get real?"

As Mitt Romney put it, “If I had a business executive come to me and say I want to spend a few hundred billion dollars to put a colony on the moon, I’d say, ‘You’re fired."

Republican Field

As I see it, right now, the only choices that Republicans have are Mitt Romney or Newt Gingrich. Can you even imagine voting for a guy named Mitt? Newt?

One of my friends likes Ron Paul. That's a scary one. Just imagine voting for a guy who dismisses nuclear weapons as easily as he has and allow them in the hands of Iran, an enemy that wants to destroy Israel, or someone who wants to make illegal drugs legal. He is gaining strength in Iowa. Ron Paul is bringing down the entire GOP. I had no idea that corn affected people to this extent. Iowa is the birth place of John Wayne for heaven's sake.

With the Republican field choice right now, Democrats must be excited.
