Harris Ignores Reporters by Plugging Ears on Tarmac

At Joint Base Andrews, Vice President Kamala Harris was caught on video appearing to dodge reporters’ questions by plugging her ears with headphones as she boarded her plane.

Harris, who is set to attend a campaign rally in Detroit, Michigan on Monday, briefly waved to the group of journalists before turning her back and boarding the aircraft, according to C-SPAN footage.

What caught many conservative pundits’ eye was Harris’ move to push a pair of wired headphones deeper into her ears as she climbed the stairs to the plane. This action, some argued, was a clear attempt to avoid answering any questions from the press.

“Kamala Harris is now avoiding the press by wearing headphones, that’s the first original move I’ve seen from her campaign,” remarked commentator Jillian Anderson on Twitter.

Mike Crispi, a Trump delegate, also joined in the criticism, stating, “You’d think a woman running for the highest public service job in the country would see value in… I don’t know… talking to the public.”

“In meetings with Vice President Harris and other administration officials, the publisher of The Times focused instead on a higher principle: That systematically avoiding interviews and questions from major news organizations doesn’t just undermine an important norm, it also establishes a dangerous precedent that future presidents can use to avoid scrutiny and accountability,” the statement read.

“That is why Mr. Sulzberger has repeatedly urged the White House to have the president sit down with The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, CNN and other major independent news organizations that millions of Americans rely on to understand their government.”

Of course, there’s a reason why Biden is refusing to conduct interviews with the press.

It’s not because he no longer considers them an ally.

It’s because he doesn’t have the mental acuity to answer questions.

The White House press pool filed a formal complaint against Democrat President Joe Biden for refusing to answer questions from American media about the multiple crises that have erupted under his regime.

The complaint came as Biden met with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the Oval Office, which comes after Biden angered the British with his disastrous pullout from Afghanistan.

The Democrats' alliance with social media to crack down on conservative voices apparently now is manifesting itself in the White House press office.

In a feature on how media friendly to former President Trump are trying to gain access to the Biden White House, Politico cited Biden's deputy press secretary making it clear that any news outlets that "traffic in conspiracy theories, propaganda and lies" will be forbidden.

New rules that will govern White House press conferences:

• 1) A journalist called upon to ask a question will ask a single question and then will yield the floor to other journalists

• 2) At the discretion of the President or other White House official taking questions, a follow-up question or questions may be permitted; and where a follow up has been allowed and asked, the questioner will then yield the floor

• 3) ‘Yielding the floor’ includes, when applicable, physically surrendering the microphone to White House staff for use by the next questioner

• 4) Failure to abide by any of rules (1)-(3) may result in suspension or revocation of the journalist’s hard pass.

And if these rules get abused, the President or whoever conducting can end the conference.
