Humiliated Prosecutors, Forced to Apologize to Judge in Trump Case

"After months of relentless attacks from the special counsel Jack Smith, former President Donald Trump has once again emerged victorious in court.

This is in line with the law that requires a factual connection between the defendant’s speech and the alleged harm.

Judge Cannon’s decision to question the prosecution’s vague allegations proves that she is committed to upholding the principles of justice and the First Amendment rights of every American, including Trump."

New rules that will govern White House press conferences:

• 1) A journalist called upon to ask a question will ask a single question and then will yield the floor to other journalists

• 2) At the discretion of the President or other White House official taking questions, a follow-up question or questions may be permitted; and where a follow up has been allowed and asked, the questioner will then yield the floor

• 3) ‘Yielding the floor’ includes, when applicable, physically surrendering the microphone to White House staff for use by the next questioner

• 4) Failure to abide by any of rules (1)-(3) may result in suspension or revocation of the journalist’s hard pass.

And if these rules get abused, the President or whoever conducting can end the conference.

Once again, we are getting a story from a reporter that never talked to the subject of the story, Commissioner Ryan Maier. There are always two sides to a story--the truth and the other side who think they know the truth or make it up, twisting it to suit their agenda. Knowing the circumstances of the incident would be too much investigative reporting I guess.

The other subject of the story is the mayor allowing all of this rudeness to happen. When you have threats made by some who speak at the lectern during commission meetings, raise their voices and are just plain obnoxious and the mayor does not bang the gavel, then it is all bad politics and purposely taking retribution against citizens and well as other commissioners.

When you have a person walking by and shooting you the 'bird," you have "rude punk" personified. Jeers and constant chatter in the room is allowed by Pam Triolo. This sort of behavior (not the bird) happens with frequency.  The mayor does have Rules of Decorum that she totally ignores.  Saying "Quiet in the chamber" doesn't cut it.

Some people are chronic trouble makers in this city and we all know who they are...even the PBSO.

Commission looking to control free speech

It looks like Lake Worth will be going down Chaz Steven's road. He doesn't believe in turning the other cheek other than slapping it down.

Is the city cowering in fear of another lawsuit? Wringing their hands?  Their solution to the atheists and satanists is to not invite any pastor to give an invocation; the commission will tackle God's word themselves, if they choose, which they probably won't.  A tiny minority has made it into a game of will and the humongous majority of those who believe in God and those who believe in Free Speech, our Constitution, will probably roll over tomorrow night.

On November 10th's Consent Agenda:
9. CONSENT AGENDA: (public comment allowed during Public Participation of Non-Agendaed items)
A. Resolution No. 59-2015 - amend the Commission's Rules of Procedures to include a policy for Invocation and Moment of Silence.

In the back-up Resolution it says: (7) The Invocation or Moment of Silence shall be offered by the Mayor or a member of the Commission on a rotating basis.

Apparently some people are scared of atheist Chaz Stevens as he has requested that he be among those granted to give his "prayer" message before our city commission meetings. The city doesn't acknowledge that this is a game he's been playing all over Florida where he has brought down city governments. He won't have to worry about inclusion now--No one of any faith will be included other than elected officials.  He won't be able to use Lake Worth for his two minutes of shame.

The commission should be tolerant of all beliefs unless they promote voodoo, bodily harm or self sacrifices. But no, now we will have to listen to an elected official. If they vote to eliminate a 2 minute invocation, this WILL be their legacy...the day the city died.

Local churches taking security measures

Patrols and security cameras may become the norm at church.  Everyone needs to be "cautious" at this time because of the recent massacre in Charleston.

Pastor Tony Cato is the senior pastor at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Lake Worth. He says before the Charleston tragedy his church was already making changes to their security measures in the way it trains his new deacons. Read about it...

If you recall, on June 16th we had Minister Hopelyn West from this church give the invocation at our city commission meeting. Her message was short lived. What happened minutes later, suggests that some people closed their ears to her message that "prayer can lead the way...everything that will be discussed every decision that will be made...and that all the people be taken into consideration...let it be about the lives of the residents in this community...conduct ourselves in a manner that is appropriate...no disruption, unruly behavior...that we will treat these chambers with the respect..."

There were some residents who showed zero respect that night and the mayor allowed it.

At the back of the city commission chamber are the Agendas. On the front of each one is a cover sheet usually printed in green paper. The reverse side gives you information on how the meeting is conducted. Below is the Rules of Decorum, something this commission finds impossible or just flat refuses to enforce.

There was NOTHING respectful with a library board member's commentary towards Commissioner Ryan Maier. In fact, it was inaccurate and libelous and now it is all on audio for future reference and Mr. Maier's lawyer.

Now with the Mayor's new policy that a commissioner can't even defend himself from personal attacks after public commentary of non-agendaed items, it looks like anyone can say just about anything he wants. It's a good thing Ms. Fisher only came within two inches of my face when she screamed at me which could be considered verbal assault. She knew better than to touch me.

You really need to pay attention Mayor and enforce the rules.

Rules of Decorum out the window with this commission in Lake Worth

The mayor and this commission has not followed the Rules of Decorum.  I have spoken about this on several occasions--have written the mayor, city attorney and the city manager.  What occurred in the city chamber on Tuesday night by a volatile resident who is well known in the judicial system, was an abomination to all decency.

When you have senior citizen James Addison, well known resident from a pioneer family, getting thrown out of the chamber for using the word "shit," Mr. P should have been stopped dead in his tracks before he was allowed to continue with his 2 minute hate speech/rant, directly threatening unnamed citizens with his vile and intense promise to inflict retribution (he succeeded in his mission to get someone fired from her job and bragged about it) on those for something offensive that only exists in his own  "mind" on legally unproven "he said; she said." He says he won't accept hate in our community but by his acts, he is committing the most hate of all. He has mentioned the names of his targets on his Facebook page and a few are senior citizens one of whom is 80 years old.

It has been a trend of this commission (no other has allowed it) to allow citizens to make personal attacks towards others in this chamber and these attacks have become more brazen. We want to know when the commission, especially the Mayor, will follow its own rules and insist on civility.

DECORUM FOR CITIZEN PARTICIPATION

(a) In support of and respect for an open, fair and informed decision-making process, the
City Commission and Administration recognize that:

(1) Civil, respectful and courteous discourse and behavior are conducive to the
democratic and harmonious airing of concerns and decision making; and

(2) Un-civil discourse and/or discourteous and inappropriate behavior have a
negative impact on the character and productivity of the decision-making process.

(b) In an effort to preserve the intent of open government and maintain a positive
environment for citizen input and Commission decision-making, the following Rules of
Decorum for Citizen Participation have been established.

Compliance with these rules is expected and appreciated. The Rules of Decorum for
Citizen Participation will be included in the agenda and will be referenced at the beginning
of each Commission meeting and Commission Work Session by the Chair. A written list of
the Rules of Decorum for Citizen Participation will also be printed and mounted upon the
walls of the Commission Chamber and Conference Room and upon the speaker’s podium
in the Commission Chamber.

(1) Speakers will conduct themselves in a civil and respectful manner at all times.

(2) Speakers will address the Chair.

(3) Questions to Commission members or City staff will be facilitated by the Chair.

(4) Speakers will refrain from the use of obscene language, “fighting words” likely to
incite violence from the individuals(s) to whom the words are addressed, or other
language which is disruptive to the orderly and fair progress of discussion at the
meeting.

(5) Speakers will refrain from making comments of a personal nature regarding

(1) The Chair will identify out loud the out-of-compliance behavior and request for the
behavior to stop;

(2) The Chair will ask the speaker to have a seat if he/she continues to disrupt the
meeting;

(3) If the speaker refuses to have a seat, the Chair will recess the meeting; and

(4) Will instruct a law enforcement officer to instruct the speaker to stop the
disruptive conduct and escort the speaker out of the meeting venue.

Lake Worth and its lack of Integrity

Rene Varela said it years ago, "Politics in Lake Worth is a blood sport." So much for this commission and its total lack of integrity. Talk about terrorists!

Yesterday I wrote them regarding Wes Blackman sitting on a city board and asked that he be removed for the lies and venom he spreads on his blog against this blogger in particular. Because he is a representative of the city by his political appointment as chair of the Historic Board, he should be subject to some sort of ethical standard, wouldn't you think? Well, the confidentiality request of my letter was not to be.  Only one commissioner and the city manager even acknowledged they received it from me--Andy Amoroso, who appointed Blackman, and Mike Bornstein. 

It is true that this is public information but no one expects their request of confidentiality to be ignored by the leaders of your own city. You go through the process of a public information request. If you constantly libel someone, slander them, present information that is a lie, hate speech, senior abuse, etc. you can be sued in a civil court.  Free speech is not absolute. And the city is now complicit?

Wes Blackman has no business being on a city board.  Free speech can only, by law, go so far.  You can not make up fantasy and hold it out to the world as truth--call someone a racist or call them anti-Semitic?  As a board member and its chair, he represents the city and all who reside here and therefore there is no place for his hate. 

How do you separate his being a representative of the city and his personal choice to spread disgusting venom? He can certainly have an opinion but his comments go far beyond what is acceptable especially for someone who represents the city. Members of city boards are held to a higher standard. This is more than just a difference of opinion between two bloggers. Should he be reporting the truth, not fantasy and be allowed to maliciously resort to lie after lie for political ends and to gain brownie points from this commission and his handful of haters?

THE LETTER I sent (his entire blog post was included along with the false comments):

Wes Blackman has no place as head of your Historic board.  Please remove him. His blog comments are lies and fantasy—calling me a racist and anti-Semitic for starters.

As an add, I have never been to Century Village in my life.

The first article was written by American Thinker, documented by a link and on incidents happening across the country regarding black on white crime. In his quest to ruin my credibility, he has resorted to HATE speech. This is not in good fun. This is libelous and character assassination. He feels he can intensify his false charges and defame me because of your not following rules of decorum at city commission meetings and allowing my public lynching.

Please REMOVE HIM from that board. Anyone who disagrees with him politically in this city would be subjected to his inner prejudice and could have difficulty appealing their case if they had to appear before him. Free speech is one thing but what appears below is slanderous and libelous and inaccurate fantasy. His comments prove that he has no business being on any city board much less being the Chair of the Historic Preservation board.

Decorum at City Commission Meetings

In the latest Rasmussen Poll, only eight percent (8%) think most members of Congress get reelected because they do a good job representing their constituents. Seventy percent (70%) say most get reelected because election rules are rigged to benefit members of Congress. That’s up four points from last month and the highest level of cynicism in five years of regular surveying. Twenty-three percent (23%) are undecided. That's what the city commission did (rigging) when it exempted itself from the Uniform Municipal Election Act, another story.

This entire polling mindset trickles down to local politics. If you are at home watching meetings, you miss all of the commissioner smirks, all of the tempers, all of the rolling of eyes, and all of the "playing politics," enough so that there are plenty of times you just want to throw your hands up in the air and say, "Why bother?"

On Tuesday night, a few on the dais, and one in particular, was irritated with a few commissioners who did not approve of the budget.  This was under PUBLIC HEARINGS.  Public means just that. This IS the time for discussion--between commissioners and the public. No one should have to be intimidated to vote in lockstep whether it be the 365th day of the year or the first day.

A citizen had legitimate questions regarding the ECR facility on what they are going to build, why we need it and the overall cost of $112,794,000.00. None of his questions and concerns were addressed.  Why not? Why should citizens be treated so contemptuously and just mindlessly accept the decisions of this commission and then have to be ignored (other than McVoy who did make a statement) or publicly assassinated?

If a commissioner is going to address another commissioner, he should be cordial and use decorum--something greatly lacking these days. I was happy to to see Commissioner Amoroso standing up for his convictions and expressing his displeasure with the political rhetoric by the Vice Mayor who looked like he was about to explode during his "speech." Amoroso stated, "He's playing politics." Setting a budget IS a BIG deal ($167 million) so why should any commissioner  get upset with the process?

I'm above the Rules or,
"I can't find my gavel?"

The Mayor broke the rules. The entire Commission, the City Attorney and the City Manager allowed the Rules of Decorum, their own rules, to be thrown out and flushed down their political petty toilet all for "getting even" with the "face" of their opposition.  This is not done in a democracy.  The failure of the Lake Worth Commission and its staff in its abuse of power failed to respect Constitutional rights and freedom of expression of this blogger and/or any citizen in this city who disagrees with their policies.  They were out for retribution for losing the bond election. Their decision to break the Rules undermines the democratic legitimacy of this commission. Immediate action must be taken to protect the dignity of the meetings and to ensure that  fundamental rights are protected under Rule 14, Decorum for Citizen participation.

I have written the mayor on this subject before, to no avail.  Voices of some of the citizens (their opposition) are discarded, thrown away, ridiculed and/or abused. Commissioners sneer or even lean back in their seat and roll their eyes at some comments.  They are losing elections because they DO NOT LISTEN. However there is a Rule of Decorum.  If our commission can't follow its own rules in this respect, then what do we have?  A despotic abuse of power--Tyranny?  Anarchy?  Have the commission meetings now been allowed to become  hate fests for personal attacks towards people of the opposition?  Is this Pakistan?  Is this Syria?  What about ISIS where they are beheading journalists?  Is that next?

On August 29, 2014, in an e-mail to me, the mayor said: "With all my heart I want to end this chasm and move us forward."  That thought lasted 14 days. It's no wonder that 50% of the voters don't trust. It needs to end with you, mayor.
