Ret General Michael Flynn got screwed

Michael Flynn: newly declassified FBI notes prove he never should have been charged

Retired General Michael Flynn says fully unredacted FBI interview notes, released this week by the White House, show the bureau's own agents knew he did not lie, and that he would never have accepted his 2018 guilty plea had he seen the evidence at the time.

The Trump administration's Government Transparency Task Force on Wednesday declassified the complete, unredacted handwritten and typed notes from Flynn's January 24, 2017 FBI interview, documents that had been partially blacked out for years, even from Flynn's own defense team. Flynn, appearing on the Just the News, No Noise television show that evening, said the newly visible material changes the entire picture of his prosecution under Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

The core of Flynn's argument is simple: the agents' own contemporaneous notes show he gave hedged, qualified answers about his December 2016 phone call with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, answers the FBI then repackaged into flat denials in the official typed summary filed weeks later. That repackaging, Flynn contends, manufactured the false-statement charge that upended his life.

Handwritten notes versus the official FBI summary--Two FBI agents, Peter Strzok and Joe Pientka, sat across from Flynn in that January 2017 interview. Both took handwritten notes. The FBI later produced a typed summary called an FD-302, the bureau's standard interview report. The FD-302 was not entered into the FBI's system until more than 20 days after the sit-down.

Strzok's text messages and the 20-day gap--

The delay between the interview and the filing of the FD-302 has long raised questions. Text messages between Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page, publicly exposed in 2020, shed light on why. Strzok told Page he was "trying not to completely revise" the summary because of its poor original state. Page, who did not attend the Flynn interview, also provided edits, the messages show.

An FBI lawyer who was not in the room editing the official record of a witness interview, weeks after the fact, is not standard procedure. It is the kind of irregularity that, in any other context, would prompt serious questions about the reliability of the document.

In Flynn's case, that document became the evidentiary foundation for a federal felony charge.

Flynn said the declassified documents contain information he had never seen before. "There is a lot of new information that I was not aware of," he said. What specific sections were previously hidden behind redactions, and why the FBI kept them blacked out for years, even from the defendant, remain open questions.

The government eventually paid Flynn $1.2 million and walked away from the conviction.

UAE withdraws from OPEC

The United Arab Emirates is walking away from OPEC after nearly 60 years of membership

The withdrawal takes effect on May 1, and it strips the cartel of one of its three largest producers in the middle of an active war, with the Strait of Hormuz still contested.

Read between the lines of this announcement. For half a century, OPEC dictated what Americans paid at the pump, and the cartel used energy as a weapon against the United States and our allies. President Trump called it out for exactly what it was, which is a rigged system designed to rip off the American people and the rest of the free world.

Today, the cracks are showing for everyone to see. That cartel is fracturing under the leadership of a Commander in Chief who refuses to let foreign capitals dictate the price of a gallon of gas in America or the security of the American homeland.

I want every American to understand what this moment actually means. Energy dominance is national security, and national security is the foundation of American freedom. Every barrel produced outside of an OPEC quota is leverage that returns to the United States. Every fracture inside that cartel is a direct win for American families, American workers, American industry, and American sovereignty.

Lt. General Michael Flynn settles with Dept.of Justice over malicious prosecution

Justice Department settles with Michael Flynn, pays $1.2 million over Russia probe prosecution

The Department of Justice reached a settlement Wednesday with retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, agreeing to pay the former national security advisor approximately $1.2 million to resolve a lawsuit in which he alleged wrongful and malicious prosecution during the Russia investigation.

The DOJ called the deal an "important step in redressing" what it described as a "historic injustice."

A notice of settlement was filed in the Middle District of Florida. Official court papers reviewed by Fox News Digital do not disclose the financial terms, but the Associated Press reported the government will pay Flynn roughly $1.2 million. The case will be dismissed with prejudice (Dismissed with prejudice" means a lawsuit or criminal charge is permanently terminated by a court, acting as a final judgment on the merits) once Flynn confirms receipt of the funds.

Each party will bear its own legal costs. The court will not retain jurisdiction over the agreement.

That $1.2 million is a fraction of the $50 million Flynn sought when he filed suit in 2023. But the settlement's real weight lies elsewhere, in the federal government's implicit acknowledgment that the prosecution of a three-star general and decorated combat veteran was, at minimum, something that needed to be made right with money.

Prior to this settlement, court records from 2019 showed that Flynn had incurred over $4.6 million in legal fees relating to his criminal investigation and lobbying inquiries, with some of that amount being unpaid.

I think the government should have paid all of his legal fees.

Michael Flynn Relatives proceed with lawsuit against CNN

Judge Allows Michael Flynn Relatives to Continue Suit Against CNN

The family of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn can proceed with a trimmed down lawsuit against CNN, a federal judge ruled Thursday night.

Flynn’s brother Jack and sister-in-law Leslie have accused CNN of inaccurately depicting them as followers of the QAnon conspiracy theory, Politico reported. They are suing CNN for $75 million over a report that they were believers of the QAnon conspiracy theory.

The judge added that the tweets did not establish clearly that the Flynns were QAnon followers.

Wake Up America! Truth is bubbling up!

General Flynn Issues Dire Warning About Antifa & BLM

General Flynn has some intel that says Antifa and BLM will be arriving in Maricopa County to disrupt the audit.

Unfortunately, the YouTube on this has been censored/deleted but I put one up that tells the details regarding General Flynn stating how important this audit is. Youtube has also terminated Scotsdale Studios YouTube channel where the entire speech was recorded.

"Maricopa County is tactical, but it has a strategic consequence, depending on the outcome and we believe we know what the outcome will be. The Maricopa County audit is a big, big deal, said General Flynn.

This Liberal Judge is really a Dangerous Pitbull

Left-Wing Judge keeps pursuing Flynn even after presidential pardon

When the Department of Justice filed a motion with Judge Emmet Sullivan in May to drop the government's case against Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, the judge refused to dismiss.

Last month, President Trump pardoned his former national security adviser, but Sullivan remains steadfast to pursue a guilty charge.

FBI informant said Flynn was not 'going to be around long'

A former Bush administration official has released audio of his conversation from Jan. 10, 2017, with Stefan Halper, a former Cambridge professor who was an FBI source during the Trump-Russia probe.

Halper told Steven Schrage that Michael Flynn, the incoming national security adviser, was likely not “going to be around long.”

Schrage says he found the comment peculiar because Flynn became the target of intense media scrutiny two days later, after classified details of his conversations with a Russian diplomat were leaked to The Washington Post.

Schrage, who studied under Halper at Cambridge, has revealed other details about his interactions with the longtime FBI source. [WND]
