Trump Imposing high Tariff on China

Trump to Impose New 100 Percent Tariff on China on Nov. 1

The president said export controls on ‘critical software’ will also take effect on Nov. 1. Earlier, Trump also threatened to cancel a meeting with China’s Xi.

President Donald Trump on Friday said that the United States will impose an additional 100 percent tariffs on Chinese goods and export controls on critical software starting on Nov. 1.

Trump accused Beijing of adopting “aggressive” export controls on nearly all of its products, referring to the Chinese regime’s recent rule changes aimed at restricting shipments of rare earth elements.

In a new Truth Social post, Trump said that the United States “will impose a Tariff of 100% on China, over and above any Tariff that they are currently paying. Also on November 1st, we will impose Export Controls on any and all critical software.”

He warned that tariffs could be implemented sooner, depending on Beijing’s reaction. He also said China’s new export controls, which would affect all countries, appeared to be a strategy devised by Beijing years ago.

“It is impossible to believe that China would have taken such an action, but they have, and the rest is History,” he wrote.

China's Exporters feeling the pinch

China’s Largest Trade Fair Emptier After US Tariff Hike, Exporters Say

There are no clients from Germany, France, or the United States, a Chinese exporter at the China Import and Export Fair told The Epoch Times.

Exporters told The Epoch Times that China’s largest trade fair was emptier than in previous years. Pessimism is now pervasive across many industries after the United States imposed a 145 percent tariff on Chinese goods due to the Chinese regime’s unfair trade practices.

The Canton Fair, also known as the China Import and Export Fair, is the oldest, largest, and most representative trade fair in China. It’s been held in the spring and autumn seasons each year since the spring of 1957 in Guangzhou city in Guangdong Province in southern China.

Although the Trump administration’s tariffs on the rest of the world are much lower for now, they are likely to curb global demand in the coming months, as well as demand for Chinese goods in other countries due to U.S. tariffs on Chinese goods, including those resold to the United States through other countries.

“If the CCP uses them as a third party to re-sell Chinese goods to the United States, the United States will impose higher tariffs on these countries as well. So, the CCP’s indirect export to the United States will also be hit hard.”

Imports of Chinese Lithium-ion batteries Skyrocketing into the U.S.

Biden Administration Oversaw a More Than 500% Increase in Chinese Lithium Battery Imports Since Taking Office

Since President Joe Biden took office, imports of Chinese lithium batteries have seen a drastic increase of over 500%. This surge in imports has come after President Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law. The bill was intended to enhance America’s ability to compete with China in the battery industry, a goal that seems to have backfired.

The Biden administration’s flagship climate bill included various subsidies to support the transition to a green energy economy. However, despite these efforts, China’s dominance in the global supply of rare earth materials has resulted in a significant increase in imports of Chinese electric vehicle components and lithium-ion batteries.

These components are crucial for the production of electric vehicles and other green energy technologies.

So, another policy of Biden has gone nowhere.

FCC Implements the Secure Equipment Act

FCC Bans U.S. Sales, Imports From China Due To ‘Unacceptable Risk to National Security’

The FCC dropped a bomb on China with a new ban on certain imports.

“The Federal Communications Commission on Friday announced it has adopted new rules banning communications equipment from several Chinese companies from being imported to or sold in the United States, due to the ‘unacceptable risk to national security,'” reported Breitbart.

“The rules prohibit equipment and services from Chinese electronics companies Huawei Technologies and ZTE Corporation, as well as two-way radio maker Hytera Communications, and connected-camera providers Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology and Dahua Technology, as well as their subsidiaries and affiliates,” reported Breitbart. FCC Ban On Imports From China

“The rules implement the Secure Equipment Act of 2021, sponsored by Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) and signed into law by President Joe Biden in November 2021,” according to Breitbart.

Marco's Message on China and trade

Mexico has some nerve

Comment Up

Mexico threatens Texas--"You had better issue birth certificates to these children...you are in violation of your 14th Amendment."

Read about it. And the anchor baby joke continues as Mexico says if Texas doesn't do this, they are screwing up our entire relationship with them.

I don't think we have much of a relationship and we know there is a huge trade imbalance. And for the first six month of 2015, there is a trade disparity of -27,831.9.

Aside from trade, Anchor babies are a huge problem. "This is the practice of having an pregnant illegal alien enter the country, or they get pregnant while in the USA, accounts for 10% of the current birth rate in the entire USA! This is an abuse and loop hole of the 14th amendment. Why do they do this? Well, they use their ( Usually from Mexico ) babies to circumvent citizenship laws, thus the parents ( and other Central / South American relatives almost always ) then ride the child for permanent rights in the USA and then bring other relatives in through the child.

Export-Import bank on edge of Extinction

Democrats love them some crony capitalism

I admit, I had to read the title of this story at the RedState about four times but it got my attention. In the body of it, it reads--

"American business, as personified by the Chamber of Commerce, Wall Street, and K Street are right to fear conservatism.  And the sooner that we conservatives come to the conclusion that our interests – free people and free markets – are not the same as the Chamber of Commerce, the sooner we can get about our business... Right now the US Export-Import Bank is teetering on the razor’s edge of extinction.

In June,  newly elected House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy said  that he is in favor of letting the US Export-Import Bank die in September when its current authorization expires in September...he wouldn’t support reauthorizing the charter of the Export-Import Bank of the United States."
