Trump's Congo Deal

Trump Just Found Another Country Willing to Take the Criminals No One Else Wants

Congo Joins a Growing List of Countries Doing America a Favor

The Democratic Republic of Congo announced Sunday it will begin receiving third-country deportees from the United States this month – becoming the latest African nation to take criminals off American streets when their home countries refuse to do it themselves.

The Congolese Ministry of Communications confirmed the arrangement costs Congo nothing, and gives the U.S. a place to send illegal aliens convicted of serious crimes who can't be returned to where they came from. The deal fits a pattern Trump has been building since day one.

South Sudan. Eswatini. Ghana. Rwanda. Uganda. Cameroon. Equatorial Guinea. Eight African nations – and now Congo – have agreed to do what Democrats said was impossible: give America a permanent destination for the worst of the worst who can't go home.

The Congo deal didn't happen in a vacuum. In December 2025, Trump signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement with Kinshasa granting U.S. companies preferential access to Congolese cobalt and copper – the minerals that go into every defense system, every fighter jet, and every battery powering the technologies China wants to dominate.

Congo holds the world's largest cobalt reserves. Chinese companies currently control over 80% of them.

Trump is changing that.

Screwed by a lying Democrat

One GM Sale to China Just Destroyed America’s Biggest Defense Advantage

In 1995, when Bill Clinton was President, General Motors sold its rare earth magnet subsidiary Magnequench to the Sextant Group, an investment firm led by Archibald Cox Jr..

The group, however, was a front for two Chinese state-owned companies: the China National Non-Ferrous Metals Import and Export Corporation and San Huan New Material.
  • The deal: The sale to the Sextant Group included the Chinese firms, giving them a majority stake in Magnequench.
  • The front: Cox, as the CEO of Sextant, presented the acquisition as being by an American investment group.
  • The owners: The Chinese firms had close ties to the Chinese government, with their heads being in-laws of former Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping.
  • Consequences: Following the sale, Magnequench began shutting down its U.S. plants and moving production to China, a move that raised national security concerns.

Trump Imposing high Tariff on China

Trump to Impose New 100 Percent Tariff on China on Nov. 1

The president said export controls on ‘critical software’ will also take effect on Nov. 1. Earlier, Trump also threatened to cancel a meeting with China’s Xi.

President Donald Trump on Friday said that the United States will impose an additional 100 percent tariffs on Chinese goods and export controls on critical software starting on Nov. 1.

Trump accused Beijing of adopting “aggressive” export controls on nearly all of its products, referring to the Chinese regime’s recent rule changes aimed at restricting shipments of rare earth elements.

In a new Truth Social post, Trump said that the United States “will impose a Tariff of 100% on China, over and above any Tariff that they are currently paying. Also on November 1st, we will impose Export Controls on any and all critical software.”

He warned that tariffs could be implemented sooner, depending on Beijing’s reaction. He also said China’s new export controls, which would affect all countries, appeared to be a strategy devised by Beijing years ago.

“It is impossible to believe that China would have taken such an action, but they have, and the rest is History,” he wrote.

You can’t bluff a Master Dealmaker

Trump Secures China Trade Deal on Rare Earth Minerals, Ending Export Standoff

It feels good to be winning again, doesn’t it?

For years, Americans were told to accept decline as the new normal. We were told that other nations would eat our lunch and that our best days were behind us. But a funny thing happens when leaders actually put America first.

That old sense of American confidence is roaring back. It’s a feeling built on common sense, strength, and keeping promises. When a leader says they will do something and then actually does it, it sends a powerful message to friends and foes alike. Our rivals are starting to get that message loud and clear.

President Trump delivered yet another one of those wins. After months of a tense standoff, he announced a major breakthrough with our biggest rival.

President Donald Trump said on Thursday that the US signed a trade deal with China and that a deal with India may also be in the works.

Yulia Svyrydenko, Ukrainian politician currently serving as First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and simultaneously Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine since November 4, 2021

US and Ukraine Sign Memorandum on Minerals Deal

Ukraine's government has announced the signing of the outline of a minerals deal between the war-torn country and the US.

Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko,  said the memorandum of intent paved the way for what she called an economic partnership agreement.

She said a final deal would also involve an investment fund for the reconstruction of Ukraine. US officials expressed hope that an accord could be completed by the end of next week.

Donald Trump's public shouting match with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House in February had temporarily blown the negotiations off course.

Svyrydenko announced the signing of the memorandum on X but not did not provide further details. Her post included photos of she and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent signing separately.

"We are happy to announce the signing, with our American partners, of a Memorandum of Intent, which paves the way for an Economic Partnership Agreement and the establishment of the Investment Fund for the Reconstruction of Ukraine," Svyrydenko wrote.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Thursday, invoking wartime powers, to increase the production of critical minerals like uranium, copper, and gold through the expansion of leasing and development on federal lands through the Defense Production Act.

Mineral deal might be signed

Johnson says Zelensky has done ‘about-face’ on mineral deal

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said during a radio interview that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has done a complete “about-face” on the U.S.-Ukraine minerals deal that was not signed after a heated meeting between the two delegations late last month.

“I’m really grateful and glad that Zelensky, in the last several days, has done an about-face. He’s effectively apologized for all that.

And he said, ‘Oh no, no, we would like that deal after all.’ I think he had a rude awakening,” Johnson said during his Saturday appearance on John Catsimatidis’s radio show “Cats Roundtable” on WABC 770 AM.

Shortly after the heated meeting, Zelensky said he would not apologize. Days later, he described the meeting as a “regrettable” gathering. Ukraine’s leader also wrote that he is ready to sign the minerals deal, arguing it would be a “step toward greater security and solid security guarantees.”

Backers of the deal said the agreement would provide Washington with a strong argument to defend Ukraine against potential future aggression from the Kremlin.

Will Zelensky compromise today?

Zelensky Arrives in Washington to Sign Minerals Deal

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is set to arrive in Washington, D.C. today, reportedly to sign a formal agreement on the joint extraction of his nation’s mineral resources, but the final terms of the agreement were up in the air as of Friday morning and it remains unclear whether he will secure an agreement with the White House at all.

The reported agreement stemmed from President Donald Trump’s repeated demands that Ukraine repay the American investment in its defense against the ongoing Russian invasion.

That demand prompted outrage from Kyiv and led to a cycle of reported deals and retractions that further strained relations between both countries.

“$350 billion dollars, lots of equipment, military equipment, the right to fight on,” Trump said this week, when asked what Ukraine got out of the deal.

Josh Hawley of Missouri lasered in on the Biden Administration's bad policy

and its decision to prohibit mineral mining on nearly a quarter of a million acres in Minnesota.

Josh Hawley just blasted this Biden official for aiding China at the expense of Americans

President Joe Biden may have no tougher critic in the United State’s Senate than Missouri’s Josh Hawley. The Republican from the Show Me State has turned grilling Biden nominees and White House officials into a spectator sport.

And Hawley just called out this top Biden official for putting Chinese Communist Party interests over what’s best for hard-working Americans.

Under this President’s watch, however, America is no longer energy independent – now relying on countries with gross human rights violations to fuel our cars and keep our lights on.

Biden has also drained America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserves to dangerously low levels.

And his policies have created gasoline prices surges that have crippled American families.

But Biden isn’t stopping at cracking down on drilling for oil and fracking for natural gas. Mineral mining has taken a big hit under his administration as well – and China is benefiting from it.

Biden decisions devastating to our National Security

Senator Josh Hawley (one of my top favorite senators) from Missouri took an authoritative stance on an issue during Thursday’s Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources hearing.

The discussion focused on the Biden administration’s decision to halt nearly a quarter of a million acres in Minnesota from mineral mining. After a sixteen-month review, the Department of Interior concluded that the land should be protected for two decades due to possible water contamination from mining.

Hawley started his questioning by inquiring Hall-Rivera about the importance of critical minerals to the nation’s energy security. After agreeing that the minerals are essential, he moved on to the current state of mineral refinement across the world. He discovered that current production stands as 68 percent of the world’s nickel from China; with 40 percent of copper, 59 percent of lithium, and 73 percent of cobalt also mined there.
