Judge says that John Goodman willfully and deliberately left the scene of the crash in order to find a way to save himself. He knew he pushed a car into the canal. The Prosecution asked for 20 years; the defense asked for the minimum of 11.5.

$10,000 fine
court costs
4 year minimum
revocation of driver's license
time served of 51 days subtracted from his sentence
Judge says that Goodman is a perfect example of a flight risk. Any Appellate bond that the defense suggests there has to be zero chance that Goodman won't flee.
Conditions of bond--Judge to rule on Monday:
$7 million dollar bond to be posted by family (fine and court costs deducted)
GPS monitoring device on Goodman ankle
At Goodman's personal expense he will hire off duty law enforcement to be in eyesight of him at all times to ensure that he will be in the court's jurisdiction at all times...24/7.
He will be permitted to travel from his home to his office
No drugs or alcohol...drug and alcohol testing
All social activities excluded
Can not apply for new passport
