Sean Duffy Puts Harvard and Daughter on Notice

Sean Duffy Explains Why Harvard Isn’t an Option for His Daughter

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy lit up the internet after a Department of Transportation sponsored YouTube series, “The Great American Roadtrip,” showed a family talk that many parents will recognize.

Duffy and his daughter Paloma were discussing college plans when she said she would love to attend Harvard University because of its famous academic reputation and her belief that she would get the best education there.

Duffy asked her if she would push him and her mother to let her go if she were accepted, and Paloma said she probably would, adding that if she got in, she felt they “can’t say no.”

That is when Dad delivered the line that sent the elite-school fan club reaching for the smelling salts: “Well, me and mom can say no.”

His point was that he wanted her to arrive at her beliefs honestly, not be force-fed one political lane by a campus culture that conservatives have long seen as far more interested in activism than open debate.

He said the problem is that “they are so good at it,” adding that people can come from a conservative school and a conservative family, only to get “converted and contorted.”

That line hit home for a lot of parents who have watched colleges sell themselves as temples of learning while too often acting like ideological car washes, where students go in with a full set of values and come out polished in the approved shade of progressive gray.

UCLA offering a program on Immigrant Rights

UCLA Fellowship Prioritizes Undocumented Applicants for $7,000 Stipend

According to Campus Reform, “The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is offering students a $7,000 stipend through its ‘Dream Summer’ fellowship, a summer program that trains participants in immigrant rights advocacy and social justice activism.”

The program is not just about training. It is also about who gets in. The fellowship website says, “We strongly encourage and prioritize applications from undocumented applicants who identify as LGBTQIA+, Black, API, and/or Indigenous, as well as other individuals directly impacted by the immigration system.”

That wording is likely to raise questions for a lot of people. UCLA is a public university, which means many taxpayers will look at this and ask whether the school is using selective identity-based criteria for a program tied to activism. Supporters may call it outreach. Critics will see a clear preference system built around ideology and identity.

The university describes the fellowship as a program that “positions immigrant youth as agents of change within the immigrant rights movement” and “empowers immigrant youth to become the next generation of social justice leaders.”

Our gal Ketanji

Ketanji Jackson's political agenda at Supreme Court triggers concern from senior justices

Leftist Biden appointee blasted for pushing 'groundless and utterly irresponsible' ideology

Ketanji Jackson, a far-left extremist appointed to the Supreme Court by Joe Biden, displayed her legal acumen during her confirmation hearings when she denied that she had the ability to define "woman."

Her activism on the court has continued on that theme, and she often claims that her Democrat political positions actually are what the Constitution states.

Constitutional expert Jonathan Turley, whose perspectives on the Constitution actually have been used by Congress, pointed out Jackson has developed "a radical and chilling jurisprudence. Her often sole dissents and accusatory rhetoric have drawn not just the ire of her conservative colleagues but her liberal colleagues."

Now she openly advocated for a completely political move on the part of the court and has been publicly rebuked by three more senior members of the court, Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas and Neil Gorsuch.

Jackson has been known in interviews to boast about being proud to be on the Supreme Court bench because from there she can tell people what she thinks about issues, not necessarily what the Constitution states.

Admit the Fact, Attack the Data — The Democrat Playbook

Jasmine Crockett Tries to Dismiss the Border Numbers — Reality Isn’t Cooperating

Illegal border crossings are at historic lows, and not the kind of “we changed the definition” lows we got used to during the Biden years, but real, measurable drops that even critics are forced to acknowledge before immediately trying to explain them away.

Border encounters are reportedly down more than 75% year over year, daily apprehensions at the southwest border are down roughly 95% compared to the previous administration, and for months now, illegal aliens have not been released into the interior.

That should be a bipartisan victory. Instead, it triggered a familiar reflex on the Left: panic, denial, and narrative gymnastics.

Texas Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett briefly acknowledged that border encounters are lower before immediately casting doubt on the numbers themselves, accusing the administration of dishonesty and shifting the conversation to “inhumane enforcement” and “comprehensive immigration reform.”

This is the modern progressive tell. When results contradict ideology, ideology doesn’t change — reality does. The same people who spent years insisting government statistics were sacred now suddenly believe numbers are subjective if Donald Trump (and the American people) benefit from them.

2 educators fired for opposing transgender advocacy in schools

'Free to express opinions'

Oregon district pays $650,000 to settle with educators who objected to trans lessons. Schools 'can't retaliate against speech simply because they disagree with what's said.'

An Oregon school district has agreed to pay $650,000 to settle with two educators who were punished, then fired, for speaking out against the injurious transgender agenda the district was adopting.

The trans ideology as promoted by Joe Biden and his administration for years includes giving chemicals to children to delay puberty, then doing mutilating body surgeries on the child.

"Educators are free to express opinions on fundamental issues of public concern—like gender identity education policy—that implicate the freedoms of teachers, parents, and students," said Mathew Hoffman, of the ADF, which represented the teachers along with the Pacific Justice Institute.

Tyler Robinson's Leftist Ideology

Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin Tyler Robinson ‘deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology,’ Utah gov says

New York Post WASHINGTON — Tyler Robinson, the "alleged" murderer of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, was “deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology,” an investigation revealed according to Utah Gov. Spencer Cox.

Cox noted that Robinson’s political leanings had since become “very clear to us and to the investigators” in an interview with The Wall Street Journal — after Kirk was shot and killed at Utah Valley University.

At a recent family dinner, Robinson had mused over the conservative activist’s first stop of his American Comeback tour at the Orem campus, which was about a three hour drive from the alleged sniper’s home.

Tyler Robinson was actually a leftist who had "become more political in recent years" and leaned left, becoming "more pro-gay and trans-rights oriented," according to his own mother.

The now-alleged shooter — who is not registered with any political party — had discussed how he “didn’t like” Kirk or “the viewpoints he had,” with a relative who responded that the now-slain 31-year-old Turning Point USA leader was “full of hate and spreading hate,” according to Cox and an affidavit.

“They talked about why they didn’t like him and the viewpoints that he had,” the Republican governor added during a press conference Friday.

Moments before he was struck with a single bullet in the neck, the father of two young kids had been answering a question about mass shootings carried out by transgender people.

Evidence found at the scene of the fatal shooting provided a glimpse at a gunman with connections to left-leaning internet culture.
