FBI Captures Fugitive on ‘Most Wanted Fraudsters’ List After 3 Years on the Run
The FBI has captured a notorious fugitive accused of orchestrating a staggering $547 million Medicare fraud scheme after more than three years on the run.Khalid Satary was arrested in the Middle East carrying a fake Mexican passport before being flown back to the United States to face a sweeping list of federal charges.
“The arrest of Khalid Ahmed Satary and return to the U.S. is the third Most Wanted Fraudster capture from this FBI and our partners in just 5 weeks,” FBI Director Kash Patel said.
Patel said the arrest continued a “historic run of success” for the new initiative.
