Meryl Streep and other Hollywood types

I love movies and go all of the time. Since this election, Hollywood celebrities, who are only celebrities because we support their movies which allows them to make tons of money, will now be carefully scrutinized by me. To make my life happier with less toxicity, there will be no more communists, no more socialists, no more bigots, no more "stars" who think they're smarter than the Average Joe who actually allows them to live in the lifestyle that Average Joe could only dream about. They put on their pantyhose the same way I do and should stick to movies, not political slurs and half-assed opinions. And Rosie lost her "star" appeal a long time ago...glad she moved from West Palm Beach.

I saw 2 good films in 2016, and one was a documentary. I would rather listen to the opinion of sports journalists than film stars. There are a few good actors, but almost no really outstanding female actors. They are so busy trying to keep their gowns from falling down that it's hard for them to remember many lines.

You tell 'em, Lynn.

I'm sending this to Clint Eastwood, Sly Stallone, Scott Baio, Mel Gibson, The Rock, Ted Nugent, Chuck Norris, Pat Sajak, Kelsey Grammer, Ben Stein, Tom Selleck, and James Woods...

...shut yo' mouths and stick to movies, not political slurs and half-assed opinions!

I watch independent and foreign films, they're superior and not the same actors faces over and over. Also Hollywood gets preachy with the liberal rant because they're still convinced we can't think for ourselves which is disproved many times. They imagine themselves "royalty" a term favored by the media

There's a time and place for everything.
Thanks for mentioning conservatives, however. It just proves there are some thoughtful people in Hollywood.

I am appalled by Streep's consecending and elitist rhetoric which I read but refused to watch. She played the victim card despite the millions she has made playing other people in film. Her profession is an illusion, as is her view of those of us in America who are its backbone. I applaud those in the "industry" who have chosen to challenge her foray into political opinion. I will not watch any movie or tv show that features these outspoken leftist entertainers ever again. How dare they look down on the hands that feed them.
