At least the batteries last up to 100,000 miles on a car and usually have a warranty up to 100,000 so it shouldn't really be a big problem or cost to expensive to fix any car today anyway!
I own a Tesla I'm not ashamed and I've never had a battery problem this is my third one the bad thing is it only goes 250 miles to a charge takes 45 minutes to an hour to charge that's the downside the good side is I can operate it for about a dollar 25 for 250 MI
So to charge an electric car if it cost $25 to charge your car to go 250 miles it's about the same as what it would cost to put gas in it for that price there's not much of a savings or difference although I guess you're not polluting the atmosphere but it seems like the cost is still about the same sounds very expensive plus electric cars and those batteries are expensive expensive parts and expensive repairs. If you're charging your car and using the electricity at your home in lake Worth you're going to have really high electric bill, LW electric is very expensive!

Everything we use, everything we consume, has a cost to the environment. An Electric Car depletes the earth of its' minerals. There is no way out of this. We have to choose carefully and try to conserve what is left of the planet.
This country does more about it than any other country on the planet. So, until they all get on the bandwagon, we are throwing trillions down the sewer. Let's get energy independent again and no more subsidies to automakers for electric vehicles.
I don't know Lynn. I think Western Europe, in particularly Germany is doing its' part.
Remember when we all had smaller, I mean, much smaller cars? It seems to me, that the more you talk about saving the planet, the bigger the car you drive.
I'm sure today's fuel efficiency standards help, but there would sure be a lot more room, if people drove smaller cars.
Germany remains Europe's largest importer of coal and produces the 2nd most amount of coal in the European Union. I drive a small car and get lousy gas mileage. But then I drive short distances.
We are just going to have to resign ourselves to Nuclear Power Plants. Of course, we have to have thoroughly experienced and competent employees in those Power Plants.
Where would we get them? Americans want to work in their pajamas!

i dont see the '100,000 mile'lasting what is the warrenty 10% of orignal cost
This is just another pipe dream. It's too soon to know if this is even going to work, let alone save the planet.
