America First Legal Slams the Biden-Harris Administration’s Failure to Enforce Laws Against the Pro-Hamas Network in the United States
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, America First Legal (AFL) announced that it has taken a series of actions aimed at the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Department of State, and the Department of Education, to expose and combat the Biden-Harris Administration’s refusal to enforce our criminal, civil, and immigration laws against the foreign-funded and organized pro-Hamas network. AFL has:• Renewed its demand that the DOJ Office of the Inspector General investigate and determine whether the Department’s decision to ignore the federal crimes committed by the pro-Hamas network is based on improper political considerations and bias. AFL previously notified the Inspector General of nonpublic information suggesting that Biden-Harris political appointees had ordered federal law enforcement to stand down with respect to civil rights, conspiracy, and other crimes committed by the pro-Hamas network.
• Demanded that DHS and the Department of State Offices of the Inspector General investigate whether Biden-Harris political appointees have likewise ignored the law to protect pro-Hamas aliens and the institutions of higher education that some of them attend. Under 8 U.S.C. § 1182, an alien who represents a terrorist organization or a political, social, or other group that endorses or espouses terrorist activity and/or who endorses or espouses terrorist activity or persuades others to endorse or espouse terrorist activity or support a terrorist organization, is ineligible for admission to, and should be removed from, the United States. Aliens play a role in the pro-Hamas network’s campaign of street violence and intimidation targeting American citizens. Yet, the Biden-Harris Administration has failed to deport even one such alien, much less take action against the universities such as Columbia, MIT, Harvard, and Northwestern that enable them.
• Petitioned under the Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA) for DOJ action against AJP Educational Foundation, Inc., a/k/a American Muslims for Palestine, National Students for Justice in Palestine, Osama Abuirshaid, Hatem Bazian, and WESPAC Foundation, Inc. The petition alleges that the Department knows that these persons are foreign agents but has failed to notify them of their registration duties as required by law.
• Petitioned for a Department of Education rulemaking ensuring that institutions of higher education are obligated to collect and report required data on alien students as a condition of their participation in federal Title IV student loan programs.
America First Legal will continue to fight to protect American citizens and the rule of law from the Biden-Harris Administration’s two-tier system of justice.
