In the Political Dirt together - Lake Worth Incumbents

Comment Up

We've had to listen to the crap. We have now read their campaign mailers and seen their obscene contributions. The Trio commissioners of Triolo, Maxwell and Amoroso just can't crawl their way out of the mire. It is way too comfortable for them.

Moving forward to them is:
  • Not honoring the vote of the people
  • Allowing Hudson Holdings to jerk them around and believing the tale that they will renovate our iconic hotel. They are into wishful thinking. Hedge Fund guys are smarter than anyone on this commission and they know what buttons to push. Watch out...our casino/parking at the beach will be next.
  • Taking obscene amounts of money from special interests and Hudson Holdings. Can't believe the garbage people are still hanging around.
  • Taking money from some of our merchants. Remember this the next time you want to go out for a fish dinner at the pier or the golf course.
  • Jan 2014 amended the budget and moved $12.5 million from Reserves to spend on projects now.
  • Made a resolution to bulldoze parts of John Prince Park for a national Spring training stadium
  • Forced the LWHigh Flea Market to pay fees to continue its operations so it can raise scholarship money for poor kids and partially forced it from its 28 year location.
These are just a few of the horrible decisions this TRIO made.

Remember on March 15--
Vote for
GARY ANTIEAU or DIANE JACQUES, Mayor
RYAN HARTMAN, Commissioner District 1
FRANK MCALONAN, Commissioner District 3

What about that guy Frank running against Amoroso? I saw on his report that most of his money came from non-lw residents. At least business owners who might not live here do have some stake in the status of the city, what reason would so many outsiders have to donate? Seems like a double standard

Has anyone noticed that these three are like the 3 Stooges. Always pictured together, stupid kissy faces, Always hanging on to each other in pictures and most of all campaigning together. I don't want someone in office that can't think for themselves. I think the 3 of them in the mud aptly depicts their mud slinging campaign. Thank Lynn.

I looked at the campaign contributions for the 3 incumbents and you dare say that the majority of Frank's money came from non Lake Worth residents. You 3 have obtained thousands and thousands of dollars from non Lake Worth residents, the Policemen and the Firefighters. Get real here. No, the business owners in Lake Worth currently know what side of the bed they should sleep on. I have spoken to a few of them and they feel intimidated by you all and a few of them get extra perks for their support.

@11:25. Frank knows a lot of people. He just is NOT affiliated with special interests or any pay to play.

Lake Worth Biz owners disgusted customers not going in your shops anymore vs. threats from Andy Amoroso and the city . Which one scares you more? Stand up for yourselves. I won't deal with cowards and I won't be shopping in downtown Lake Worth anymore, where the shop owners have no backbone. Shopping at the malls is easier anyway.

Thanks Lynn!

I laughed out loud at your fabulous pic.

I am extremely proud of the candidates that ran in this election. Not once did they run a dirty campaign. They were all honest and did not report anything that they could not back up with documentation. They did not sling mud in the incumbents face while they were campaigning. They presented their views on how to change Lake Worth without the necessity of lying or skirting important issues that affect the people of Lake Worth. You can all stand proud and I wish you all good luck on Tuesday. My prayers are with you good people.

Lynn, I respect you and your blog. You print both sides and allow people to respond whether it be negative or positive. I have tried to post comments on Wes's Blog but he only prints the ones that support his bunch of radical bigots and his responses. Never once has he posted anything I have said that may rebut what has been written by him or his supporters. He definitely does not encourage anyone who wants to print the truth. Just the nasty comments about the people of Lake Worth and the candidates running for office. Don't guess people have equal rights in his world, Just like the trio.

The bully blogger is a "company man." He likes to say he is fair and he wants to be a part of the "in-crowd" or what he thinks is the in-crowd. I tell you right up front and print it right on the right side of my blog--I am not fair and balanced and if you come over here to lie, it will get deleted

Just like Bill Clinton said, "It depends upon what the meaning of the word 'is' is." Maybe the other blogger has a problem knowing what truth is or he's afraid of it.

It never ceases to amaze me how corrupt and amoral these 3 incumbents can be. If they don't like what you say about them they send you threatening letters. If they don't like the people you support they send threatening letters. It is so obvious that these three amoral incumbents have to stoop so low to demean their other 2 commissioners (because they won't play their silly games) and the candidates who are running against them. I only hope and pray that the residents of Lake Worth see thru their mudslinging campaign and see what selfish people they are. Please don't vote these jackasses back in.

A picture is worth a thousand words and Lynn, this one is priceless. A very welcome laugh my butt off moment this morning!! THANKS, I needed that.
I think there is a larger matter going on here: specifically government being bought and paid for by enormous amounts of money from special interests both inside and outside the borders of Lake Worth; and BLATANT THREATS AND INTIMIDATION. This to me is really scary. It heralds the death of democracy and the rise of an ever more powerful development dynasty.

I wanted to leave this on the other bloggers blog site, he likely will not post it as it does not favor the Post, but will share it here too. Let's see if Lynn will??? I just do not care for the Palm Beach Post, I do not think they are objective at all and they sensationalize the news and try to slam and hurt good citizens over sleazy politicians. You cannot vote based on endorsements, personally, I see the PBSO, PB fire dept, and Post all supporting the incumbents, but do you know why? Does that make it right? I hadn't looked at the other blog in years, was just curious, I don't like sensationalizing or promoting hate, God wants us all to be peacemakers in everything we do.

Here is what I wrote and submitted on the other bloggers website, let's see if it will be published........

Wes,
I don't think you should be so naive about the Palm Beach Post, sometimes you need to think and use logic and not settle for mediocrity. The Post in the past and also still continues to sensationalize the news, they prefer to pit citizens against politicians and slant things to make the politician look better tarnishing the image of good people and citizens, they have done it before and I do no read or trust the Post anymore. I prefer the Sun Sentinel. I think in my opinion they are a more legitimate news organization. It is like this, if you watch Fox New, it is obvious after watching it an hour or two or days on end, they are pro Republican plan and simple, news is always slanted to favor the Republicans, it just is. The Palm Beach Post is slanted, they often favor pro-developer types of politicians. WE all have a mind and need to make up our own opinions. I say go to the meetings, go to the debates, listen and see who matches your believes, watch behavior and see who cares and listens to you. I do not support the endorsements that the Palm Beach Post did and won't vote for any incumbents, but I am just one person. I do not like how the incumbents behave in public, treat people, nor respect us, but that is me. Every person needs to decide for themselves, I just think you need to go to meetings and debates and not let the PBP help you decide, just my two cents. My past experiences with the Post have not been favorable and I do not care for them or trust then, they sensationalize news to sell papers and I just do not like them. But I am one person who is voting. I just wanted to share this!

"The incumbents were all endorsed, enthusiastically, by The Palm Beach Post and pretty much all other legitimate endorsing organizations. If you've been following some blogs, Facebook pages, mailers, and/or had someone come to your door and say that Mayor Triolo, Vice Mayor Maxwell, and Commissioner Amoroso have violated the public trust then why would the Post endorse them?"

The Pay to Play Post are growth whores. Their editorial board is a weak shadow of what it once was. The PTPP depends on developer money to survive.Look at what 90% of their advertising is.

Love the photo. Three pigs in a wallow. Very appropriate and funny!

Reminds me of the saying: Never fight with pigs. You both get dirty and the pigs love it.

At least this time Pam, Andy and Scott stooped to the Caver's (Citizens Against Virtually Everything) level to fight fire with fire. Let's hope it pays off.
