Geez, what is the next great decision?
What I found so ironic about this press release was the simple fact that the city is looking for MORE revenue from our beach and pool. Now that Spring Break will be held over the weekend, they are shutting down the pool for 4 hours on Sat and Sun.
I guess they really do want our pool to fail. Hey, HH, where are ya?
Expanding the hours would be a business like decision.
Seems like they want the pool to lose revenue to Maxwell's statement that the beach loses money.
The regular hours on Sat & Sun are 9am to 4pm.
So they went from 7 hours down to 3.
OK everyone, in anticipation of the large crowds that will probably want to swim at our pool over spring break we are closing it!
Does this seem like a really stupid move to anyone else ?
Sadly seems par for the course. Another Gazinga for HH to take over because we're "losing revenue." What's that they say about the lottery? Ya gotta play to win?
Still won't post the truth will you. The lifeguards are needed on the beach. No great conspiracy just proper allocation of the available resources.
So happy that you are so informed, anonymous @12:47. It has nothing to do with "truth" as you put it...just fact.
Who wants to go swimming in a chlorine cement pond when you have the Atlantic Ocean at your feet?
Well lets see-Chlorine cement pond vs. Shark filled ocean(They are migrating at this time of year. Or maybe they just like the taste of tourist )
Chlorine cement pond Vs. Deadly rip currents.(Just go with the flow as you are being dragged out to sea. No problem )
Chlorine cement pond vs. Man-O-War jellyfish (those really beautiful looking balloon things that tourists like to try to kick or pick up)
Seriously. Why did the city not hire -put on duty extra like guards for the next couple of weeks? Did the city not know about Spring Break? It's been around for a couple of years now,,,
The city had the chance to make a butt load of money . But oh yeah, that wouldn't fit Scott Maxwell's scenario that the pool is losing money ! And Scott Maxwell has gotten 10,000 (that we know of )reasons from Hudson Holdings to make sure that our pool fails.
Now for the trivia question of the day: Which Commissioner used to Hang out at Roosters back in the day and shove blow up their nose in the bathroom?
