This is what we've become. We saw it with this commission criminalizing the Homeless. We saw the hatred and the venom last night at a city commission meeting towards elected commissioners and towards the public. This was a homeless man doing yard work trying to make money to afford a place to live. Someone(s) beat him to a pulp.
If anyone knows anything, call Crime Stoppers at 600-458- TIPS (8477) $1,000 reward

YES, I FEEL REALLY BAD ABOUT IT. THIS GUY WAS ALL OVER ALWAYS TRYING TO PICK UP SOME WORK. I JUST POSTED-I WENT TO SCENE AND TOOK PIX. THE COMMISSIONERS AND THEIR SUPPORTERS ARE IN DENIAL!
Finally, I was watching the news for the past 24 hours about what happened yesterday,I never saw anything on the news. The police were here for 6 hours collecting evidence, this man was found at 431 N L St, a city owned abandoned house on the corner of N L St and 5th Ave N. That man hangs out all the time at 432 N L St now for many weeks, probably the wack that lives there, a younger version of him did it to him, he is like a psycho anyway, big druggie and wacko. This city is filled with mentally ill people. They need to question the young blond guy with dreadlocks at 432 N L St, since they found the body of the beat up guy right across the street from where he lives, an abandoned building owned by the City of Lake Worth. This city has a lot of problems and a lot of mentally ill people, big druggy losers who like to shoot off fireworks in the middle of the road and blast their music, always looking for attention and fighting. This guy is violent and aggresive.
Right, especially since where he was found beat up is owned by the City of Lake Worth!
This city is out of control. The commission drove them into the neighborhoods. Who else should be responsible? Perhaps they can be sent to one of the downtown business owners homes to hang out.
Very, very sad. The City needs to partner with County, State and other resources to get these folks off the streets. Moreover, this happened on a city owned property, the City needs to clean up and/or sell of these properties that they have neglected. Let these properties be renovated/redeveloped by private interests. These neglected properties attract both the homeless and criminals.
Make the call you all... When you see something, do something - pick up the phone and call PBSO
You've got to put blame the sober homes who lure these druggies here on their families hopes and prayers that they'll get clean but the bad operators prey on them and then boot them to the curb when they relapse or their money runs out.
We need to put pressure on the Feds because these jerks are claiming ADA protection and that is just not right... Addiction needs to be dropped as a protected class because until
They do we are all screwed and these bad operators can set up a house right next door without ANY regulations or licenses.... And wITHOUT background checks pedophiles and sexual offenders can move right next door and are protected - that is bull crap

Since this happened on City property will City be responsible, under its insurance policy, to pay for this man's medical care, etc.?
No, he was trespassing.
