That's because PBSO and the city DO NOTHING to get rid of these bums! The merchants and residents are at their mercy. No one wants to come to our downtown. What a great first image to our city with professional pan handlers at every entrance to our city and bums with their illegal shopping carts taking over every bus bench in the city.Other cities don't allow bums. Why does Lake Worth. Is the county giving us money under the table to be BUM CENTRAL so all of the other "BETTER" cities don't have to put up with their citizens getting molested ?

9;21 must have a nice house and food every day but has no idea how many of these"profesional bums"are really people that might have lost their job, house or got a divorce and don't want to be homeless.instead of putting every one in one category why not use that small brain to talk with "everyone"to maybe help the ones that want help.i personally know there are some out their that don't want to be there

Hey 10:08 Get a brain. Yours is nonfunctional. PBSO has said flat out that these pan handlers ARE RUNNING A SCAM ! A WELL ORGANIZED scam! Jesus,it's fools like you who never stand up for the working people and businesses that do give a damn. Where is your sympathy for the people that do brave it out to come to our town and then get accosted by the street trash? These bums made the choice to be a bum.Palm Beach county spends MILLIONS of my tax dollars on homeless issues. If ANYONE wants help they can walk up to the nearest PBSO deputy and they will be taken to get help!! Didn't your small brain know that? No? Maybe it's because all of your body's resources are being used to make tears for you to shed for people who do not deserve them. Put a sign out front of your home 10:08 saying "Homeless welcome. Come in and I will take care of you" Just let someone know who your next of kin is first.

Well said 10:48am I remember the lady who took it upon herself to deliver homemade food to the homeless and was beaten for not giving one of them a ride to his dealer.

It seems that people never learn the lesson that what you are willing to put up with is what you will wind up with. It surprises me that this simple rule of nature is overlooked by so many fools. It is why some children do well, and some do poorly, it all depends on what the parents will put up with. Even pets: a well trained pet will be happier and healthier than a pet given no direction. Expectations! If they are low, the result will be poor.

I have lived here now for almost 9 years. I still see the same people living on the street. Why should they change? They don't want to change. It is a prime example of feeding strays. If you do it they will stay. People give them money they use to buy drugs or alcohol. They get food for free, sleep in the park, shit wherever they want, break the law without any repercussions. Hey why change your situation? No one l I ves on the street for 9+ years except by choice.
