Palm Beach County Commission - It's about development, not quality of life

Comment Up

"The county needs to stick to its comprehensive plan, which spells out where development is allowed. That would minimize stress in heavily populated areas and allow less populated areas to remain that way. We need to pick a line and hold to it so commissioners can say no.

If you have a lifeboat that can hold 20 people, you can’t put 50 people in it no matter how much you want to do it.”

~ Drew Martin
running for Shelley Vana's seat on the Palm Beach County Commission

Developers have found our county and what better one to find as county commissioners approve of anything and everything. Environmental and preservation concerns are being swept aside by this commission. We have seen that with their stand on the Atlanta Braves and John Prince Park.

"Preservationists and environmentalists look at the development debates over the past couple years and see a string of defeats: Minto West, Avenir, Mecca Farms and rule changes in the Agricultural Reserve, a 22,000-acre farming and conservation zone west of Boynton Beach and Delray Beach."

Commissioner Paulette Burdick is the ONLY commissioner who considers all of the circumstances as well as the people. All the rest of them--kick them out.

Thank you for your concerns. Did you sign the petition. You are so right with them taking over space for more concrete jungles just to satisfy their selfish needs.
