It's so hard to keep writing about the same old situation:
The city of Lake Worth applies for millions from the State of Florida and gets turned down two years in a row.
Why officials here believe that other people's taxes should pay to develop infrastructure on this piece of dirt at the Park of Commerce for $18 million is the mystery. The city manager says "I'm shocked...We’re not going to give up and walk away. I’ll just get a bigger fist to bang on the door.” On top of all of this, they keep telling us that it will create 300 jobs. Anyone re-locating here will be bringing the same jobs with the same people their business had before.
Why should he or the mayor be shocked? Governor Rick Scott reduced taxes by $1 billion and people still want hand-outs. Florida’s per capita state tax burden is the lowest among all large states at $1,779 and Governor Scott wants to continue to lower it to help businesses and families succeed while stopping the growth of government and we don't have a state income tax.

When all of out current businesses relocate to POC we will have more empty business spaces to either try to re-sell or destroy. Where is this increasing our employment rate or our big bucks. We already have many unoccupied buildings and business spaces in Lake Worth. Now we will have more. Yeah!!!!! Stupid deal

Gee, Scott doesn't back the Park of Commerce, the people of Lake Worth don't back the Park of Commerce, only the TRIO and their pay to play followers back the Park of Commerce. What does that tell me? The Park of Commerce is a DUD and shows really, really poor judgement on the Trio's part. But they will keep begging Scott and us to support them. NOT ME!!!!! If you want to bring businesses to Lake Worth: Fix the roads, decrease crime, get rid of the blight, AND get rid of the sober homes. Why do you think people and businesses are LEAVING Lake Worth? Wake up and smell the damned roses. Oh, I forgot roses are a part of the environment you want to destroy with the concrete jungles you want to build like A BASEBALL STADIUM.
They need to worry about fixing what they have instead of adding too. Overall he's just a politician, stinking up this would be great city. Pitiful that we are at the mercy of all the crooks up in city hall. I'm disgusted by how this city treats its employees and openly lies to all of us. I almost want to sell my house in Lake Worth because the corruption is limitless.

I now know that whoever they support in the 2017 election for commissioners will not get my vote no matter who is running against them. If their candidates win it would be nothing but a super majority and you can say good bye to Lake Worth as we know it and it would become their play ground to do whatever they want to with OUR money. I used to support these scumbags but my eyes have been opened to their selfishness and their greed. We have so many projects that are corruption based. The POC, the Beach, the Casino, Gulfstream Hotel, the push for JPP and the Braves. I sure hope others that voted for these assholes have had their eyes opened up and no longer support their secret agenda. They are trying to get the Governor to reconsider so you can bet they are coming up with more lies and constructive? ideas to get the money they need. It is the residents of Lake Worth that are suffering.
