No more paving in family park

I am opposed to displacing the open green space of John Prince Park for a baseball stadium (“City commission passes resolution supporting Braves’ spring training,” April 7). Lake Worth Commissioner Scott Maxwell asked, “Why pooh-pooh the plan before we’ve even seen it?”

I ask, “Why did our City Commission pass a resolution supporting a plan we have not seen?” In response to Mayor Pam Triolo’s comments, the park in its present state is a wholesome place where our kids can run, jump and play, free of charge, as opposed to paying to sit and watch adults play ball.
Please. No more concrete in John Prince Park.

Scott Maxwell's statement "why poo poo a plan they have not seen". Really, do you think we are all idiots. You all have seen the plan, (well maybe not Chris or Ryan" because you all leave them in the dark and then surprise them later) and you have already approved it. This just rates up there with you biggest LIE ever.

Right on, Rebeckah. We have such imbeciles for commissioners.
