John Prince is our Central Park

So you want to take over our lovely green space that is free to all to enjoy year-round and turn it into a place where only those who can afford an expensive ticket can go (“Baseball battle over John Prince Park,” April 11). Go for a few times a year to see a ball game. Have you really thought about it?

The Atlanta Braves can afford to go other places; they have options. How many green spaces are left open for the public? You want to take away the west fields that are filled with soccer teams on the weekends. A lot of young “want to be” soccer stars are out there.

Don’t say that people can go somewhere else to play. There is nowhere else; you built and paved over it, remember?

Those of us who live here understand how New Yorkers feel about Central Park. John Prince Park is our Florida version of the same.

Yes join the fb page. Write more letters. The county commissioners are getting tired of emails and letters from the same 10 people.

Sorry there are more than 10 people writing letters and emails. There are also over 250 DIFFERENT people signing a petition to save the park. You must be one of those ass kissers or a pay to play person as your comment is asinine at best.
