Quote of the Day - Rand Hoch's Message on local elections

Comment Up
Another victory for our community occurred in Lake Worth, where, without PBCHRCVA's endorsement, openly gay, first-time candidate Ryan Maier was elected to the Lake Worth City Commission, where he joins openly gay City Commissioner Andy Amoroso, who was elected in 2011.

~ Rand Hoch

Read Rand Hoch's message which is stunning for the simple fact that he and the PBCHRC did not endorse Ryan Maier.

I guess either way the Human Rights Council wins. John Szerdi, a prominent world renowned environmental architect with a 100% LGBT voting record, gets beat by a new comer hair dresser who thinks Lake Worth is NOT gay friendly. Why is that stunning to you?

Rand stated why his organization made the endorsement they did. It sounded like a fair endorsement to me. It wasn't like the Architectural Council endorsed Maier over Szerdi because Maier is all for building green buildings in Lake Worth and Szerdi doesn't think we have any here.

Thanks for your twisted comment. You really ARE a mean bunch.

Actually we don't have any green buildings in Lake worth. The Eco Centre that Szerdi designed never got certified. Maybe Szerdi can get one for the outhouse he built at the beach.

The "designs" of his buildings could be done by a 5 year old with a leggo set.
The Eco-center is an unimaginative box lacking recesses as it goes upward and jutting into the skyscape at every corner.

The toilet at the beach could have been subtle were it to have been much smaller. As it is, it too is an affront to the skyline.

The south half of the Casino is rescued from its lack of imagination by the beautiful building created on the north side.

Gee, Rand. Backing Szerdi at least lets the light shine on your organization. You seem to be a snobbish, one -issue pack of growth whores. Rand, gay or straight, who cares. We just want candidates in Lake Worth that respect the voter's decisions, don't think that it's O.K. to operate out of the Sunshine , don't try to steal public beaches, and don't go after churches or any other faith based organizations.
