Common Ground Church to hold Easter Services at the Cultural Plaza

Comment Up

The service will begin at 10am. Pastor Mike Olive, one of the most dynamic preachers I have ever heard, will give the sermon. If you're not a Christian yet, or if you are but have never felt attending church services were necessary in your life, you will change your mind after you listen to him. He has announced that John James will be with them that morning. He is the former lead singer of the Newsboys (at one time one of the largest christian bands in the country)

Easter is the most important holy day for Christians. The literal resurrection of Jesus is why there is a Christian religion to begin with. It's how we know that Jesus is the Son of God--He rose from the dead.

And for a little trivia: There are 2.18 billion Christians living in 200 countries around the world. This figure represents nearly a third of the global population of 6.9 billion. At the moment, there are 1.6 billion Muslims.

That means YOU!
Everyone is invited

i guess that kinda kills the narrative that lake worth is an anti-christian city........next scandal will be????

Yes, the City of Lake Worth made a big mistake. Now they are being conciliatory. God works in mysterious ways. A threat of a law suit might have helped too.

Public space should not be given over to Religion, no church services in our public space.

Where was the free coffee they advertised over Pride weekend?

Lynn Anderson said...

They had it. Where were you?

Don't forget about 14 million Jews in the world. You are welcome to come, but we're not recruiting. Happy Easter to all, and don't forget the sunrise service at the beach this weekend. It's lovely.

I don't agree with you 11:22. The public here is religious. We allow prayer before a public meeting. We give our city buildings away to groups with causes. We give over our public facilities to private groups to make money. What's the difference. The church is not making money. Our buildings are owned by the public and most of the public is religious or at least believes in God. It's not hurting anyone.

Thank you Lynn for your good honest work. You're such a nice person. Well, this Jew will be at Common Ground at the Plaza on Sunday worshiping the Jewish Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth, first fruits from the dead, (1 Cor. 15:20-23)amen!

All pastor mike needs is a wig and some floppy shoes to complete his clown ensemble. What a clown. True Christians don't do stupid things in public to promote their churches or beliefs.

All you need is some love in your heart instead of all that hate. He will pray for you but personally I don't think you're worth it.
