Governor Pence of Indiana says that he wants to see legislation on his desk this week that makes it clear there is no discrimination towards the LGBT community.
We don't want people with religious beliefs treated like second-class citizens either. And now everyone is climbing on the politically correct bandwagon, even West Palm Beach mayor, Jeri Muoio.

Yes they are. The principle; “That which is not forbidden is mandatory, and that which is not mandatory is forbidden” has been wholly embraced by the totalitarian left.

The Indiana law is quite different and much broader than the Federal law and the first generation religious freedom statutes.
First, the Indiana law applies not just to individuals but also applies to for profit businesses and corporations (who knew that a business could practice religion).
Second the law is designed to be utilized as a defense not to only government intrusion on religion but as a defense to individuals. Again this is quite different from the Federal law.
Put the two together and you have a law that permits for profit businesses that serve the public to put forth a religious defense if they don't want to serve someone b/c of their sexual orientation or some other reason.
You normally are particularly adept and details so I'm surprised that you missed those differences.
Yes, I can read all the pros and cons but I don't have an opinion. It is rather complex for me.
