Or perhaps just inaccurate and/or BAD advice from campaign consultants and other ill-informed people? Did you actually talk to the residents?

Screw with God and try to secretly steal our beach.Lecture the citizens, don't listen to them.Act like the citizens must answer to you and not the other way around. Keep it up. Please. We still have three more of you to get rid of.
Yes I talked to thousands of voters literally and the general sentiment was that commissioner McVoy was doing a terrible job. He just does his own thing doesn't really care about his district or what the people want. The few people that did admit they voted him said they did so because they knew him personally and felt obligated or because they didn't know me. Which is probably the same reason you went against me. This election was definitely not about the issues but I guess it never is. A lot of people cast their ballots before they even knew I was running. So when I get a team as big as his it won't be a popularity contest anymore. I didn't just lose I learned.
No, Serge. I went against you because your entire campaign was "going after" Chris McVoy and spouting the Maxwell, etc BS line. You never sought any other opinion other than those who wanted you in office to be just another puppet on the dais. You listened to your handlers who said McVoy was not well liked but the vote showed otherwise and he ran away with the last two elections because those on the dais don't know what the people feel. The Post saw through it too.
Serge, you lost my district by an extremely wide margin. I don't think anyone I know ever even met you out here. People don't like hearing the negative attack against an opponent. They are sick of that. What they do want to hear is something that they can relate to--their wallets. Less crime, etc. I have lived here since I was a kid of 12 years old. I know what the people want. It is unfortunate that you didn't take the high rode in your campaign. People who come to our little city do NOT want Delray nor do they want Ft. Lauderdale. What makes this city great IS the small town feel. They DON'T want more affordable housing to attract more poor. You want to build up our tax base...well attracting the affluent to build would be a good idea. Just stay within the 45 foot limit downtown. Approving the general obligation bond would create more taxes for your voter base who own their homes. As a renter yourself, did you ask them if they wanted to be taxed for 34 years? What do you think the answer would be?
@5:40- Yes, after listening to your BS for years now, tearing Ryan Maier and Chris McVoy apart on your blog, victory is sweet. And why shouldn't it be? all of a sudden you are being Mr. Nice guy. Can't wait for your professional analysis of it all.
They achieved success in spite of the bully blogger and the LWHerald...in spite of the arrogant and/or pompous elitist attitude. It was an arduous achievement of mastery in a struggle against lies and gay smears. Luckily, they were not difficult to master.
Christopher Mcvoy refused to say anything bad about Mr. Jerome as we walked door to door. Christopher talked about his own accomplishments, and what he would like to see get done in Lake Worth. He kept it positive. Which is more than we can say for Mr. Jerome.
I had overwhelmingly positive feedback in the community and I can't believe that those people did not come out and vote. I can only think that the people who didn't vote for me just didn't know me. Either way the race is over but I'm not going anywhere.
I started this campaign and ran it all by myself. If I received help from anyone it was because they liked my platform. I didn't attack commissioner McVoy so you can stop saying that.
I don't know why you think I was coached. i can only assume its because you think I can't come up with my own ideas and read about what is going on in this city. I do read all the blogs, the post, the times, the herald, and the tribune, plus I watch the city commission meetings whenever I can. Please do not underestimate my intelligence.
Lake Worth is going broke and we need to do something about it. The communities west of Dixie are ignored, the park of commerce is mismanaged, Dixie is underdeveloped, and the real democrats in this community have been misled, used, and ignored. We will not suffer those indignities again. It doesn't matter if you want more low income housing or high end housing, let's just build something already. We are one of the most underdeveloped cities in Palm Beach County.
Lake Wroth has always been a poor city inhabited by middle-class working families. One of the situations we have here that is unique is the 25 foot lot. This has dampered residential building on the alphabet streets west of Dixie. The Park of Commerce is not mismanaged. It just has not attracted businesses or development. Maxwell wants to rape the taxpayers of this city and spend multi-millions to attract development there. Why should the taxpayers do this? You really should talk to the business owners out there and see what they think.
I think you CAN come up with your own ideas. I just would like to see you talk with other people other than those you depended on to win this election. Bad mouthing McVoy didn't get you brownie points...or votes.
Mr. Jerome. You never knocked on my door. I can tell you that I attended one forum at the golf course and you did nothing but attack mcvoy. It was pretty embarrassing to have to listen to you quite frankly.
Lynn @6:08 tell the truth for once in your life. When I moved to lake worth over 30 years ago it was not a poor city is this something you have imagined?
6:56--I have been here a hell of a lot longer than have you. Why don't you get in the REAL WORLD FOR A CHANGE AND stop accusing me of being a liar. If you do that again, I will not post it. Don't use my blog to smear me or my issues. Go to that other blog that loves you sort of folks.
We could walk anywhere in this town (it was considered a town back then)and no one had to lock their doors. I married into one of the pioneer families. There is a long history here. It was indeed a working class city--still is--and the average income is under $35,000 a year...not too average by the rest of the country.
The change that has occurred is the number of illegal immigrants who have invaded this city and the crime is out of control. The city was nice back 30 years ago. Not so today in many areas.

He listened to Blackman and paid him $2,000 for that advice. All he had to do was ask me what a crazy decision that was.

The results were VOLCANIC ,Lynn!!!!
As ethical as you were in the campaign, so are you humble in victory.
