Florida judge allows blocking of automatic union dues deduction starting Saturday
- Leon County circuit judge J. Lee Marsh denies a plea to prevent the implementation of a law in Florida that bars government workers from having union fees automatically deducted from their wages.
- The law, SB 256, places new constraints on public employee unions and is seen by supporters as increasing transparency and by critics as an attempt to weaken unions.
- The ruling allows the portion of the law relating to the deduction of union dues to be enacted, leading to a drop in revenue for impacted unions, while the lawsuit challenging the law continues.
After listening to over three hours of debate, Marsh ruled that the change does not infringe on collective bargaining rights as it does not significantly impact wages, hours, or conditions of employment, but instead is merely a shift in payment methods.
The ruling does not settle the core issues brought by the lawsuit, but it allows the portion of the law relating to the deduction of union dues to be enacted while the lawsuit is ongoing. As of Saturday, Florida will enact some of the strictist anti-immigration laws in the country.CS/CS/SB 1718 - Immigration makes the following changes:
- Transporting a minor or more than five undocumented people into the state carries a second-degree felony penalty.
- Companies with 25 or more employees will have to use the federal E-Verify system when hiring workers. Penalties for employers who don’t verify their employees’ status could face suspension of their licenses to operate.
- Local governments will be banned from contributing money to organizations creating ID cards for undocumented immigrants, and driver’s licenses issued to non-citizens will be barred from use in Florida. Illegal migrants also could face felony charges by displaying a false ID to obtain employment.
- Hospitals receiving state and federal Medicaid reimbursements will be required to track how much money is spent on undocumented immigrants in emergency rooms and must ask if a patient is in the country legally.
- A 2014 law that allowed undocumented immigrants to be admitted to practice law in Florida will be repealed.
- The Division of Emergency Management’s Unauthorized Alien Transport Program get $12 million to continue the migrant-relocation program of transporting asylum-seekers to different places around the country.

Jack Smith’s motion to keep a list of 84 potential witnesses under seal in the classified documents case was denied by Judge Aileen Cannon.Smith and the rest of the Deep State had argued that keeping the list of witnesses secret was necessary to protect national security interests, but Judge Cannon disagreed.
In her ruling, she said that while the government had presented compelling arguments for why it needed to keep the list secret, she felt that the public’s right to know outweighed those concerns. Smith has asked for a four-month extension and suggested December 11 as the new trial date.The reason behind the request is that Trump’s lawyers will need to obtain security clearances to access the classified information, and this process will require more time. We know what the reason is.
Interim security clearances could be granted within 48 hours as long as Trump’s attorneys fill out the required forms. However, getting specific clearances for individual documents might take between 40 and 65 days. If the trial is delayed, Trump could be in court just weeks before the 2024 presidential primary begins, which is expected to take place in mid-January.

Senator Chuck Grassley raised some concerns regarding the investigation of Joe and Hunter Biden’s potential bribery charges. During his address on the Senate floor, Grassley mentioned the FBI document with a FD-1023 title that was presented to the House Oversight Committee last Thursday, which he also had the privilege to review.As per the FD-1023, it brings to light that the foreign national who may have bribed the Biden family, possess 17 audio recordings. The document states that this foreign national held 15 audio recordings of the phone conversations between him and Hunter Biden, and two of the recordings had the phone conversation between the foreign national and then-Vice President Joe Biden.
As most of the sentences were blocked out while the committee was reviewing it, it appeared to be that the FBI had certain details on the document blocked out to reduce transparency on the case. Grassley raised a good question as to why Special Counsel Jack Smith needed a recording from the former President Trump, while what has been done about the audio recordings related to the Biden family?

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has reportedly passed a secret order to ban suicide in the country, labeling it as a “treason against socialism”. A report by Radio Free Asia claimed that Kim has ordered local governments to take preventative measures.A government official told the outlet that the decision was made after data showed an increase in people taking their lives this year.
As mentioned in the report, the South Korean National Intelligence Service claimed that suicides were up by about 40% compared to last year at the end of May.

The Biden administration suffered a big defeat in federal court recently, after a lawsuit challenged the constitutionality of their new Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA).Created as part of the Infrastructure Act in November 2021, the MBDA is a federal agency dedicated to helping only certain preferred racial groups with grants, training, consulting, government contracts, and other benefits. But in a ruling from Judge Mark Pittman, a Trump appointee based in Fort Worth, Texas, the court held that the MBDA cannot discriminate based on race, striking down the Biden administration’s so-called “equity agenda.”
In his ruling, Judge Pittman delivered a remedial lesson in civics to the administration: “The Constitution demands equal treatment under the law.” His ruling goes against a “whole of government” approach by President Biden criticizing police brutality and racial bias and requiring all his agencies to “affirmatively advance[e] equity.”

The White House official transcript had to correct the official record along with Biden claiming “the so-called infrastructure bill designated $3.5 million to flood mitigation instead of $3.5 billion.”
Biden also said that farmers on the Colorado River use “integration” and was meaning “irrigation.”
Perhaps even more embarrassing is that Biden had to be led by the hand like a toddler by Rep. Anna Eshoo. And it would appear that Biden got himself so riled up that he forgot what year it was.

However, it is unlikely that Cuba would take this seriously, and the US can only hope that China will change its stance.

When one combines these advantages with a Chinese training facility at America’s doorstep that serve as an invasion launch point, one could argue we might soon be speaking Chinese if the Biden regime remains in power for another term.

City commissioners hope their resolution, approved 4-0 (with Mayor Betty Resch on an excused absence), will carry more clout than similar recent requests from homeless advocates that have gotten zero response from county officials.The resolution, proposed by City Commissioner Christopher McVoy at the request of homeless advocates, asks the county to open its shelters when forecasts call for temperatures of 50 degrees or lower. The resolution also asks the county to announce plans to open the shelters at least 24 hours in advance.

GOP Rep. Mark Green, who chairs the House Homeland Security Committee, claimed on Wednesday that China is probably deploying military people into the country over the southern border.Cause for Concern
Green claimed there are Chinese nationals. The majority of them happen to be military-aged males with connections to the Chinese Communist Party.They passed through the southern border and obtained entry into the United States during a press conference announcing a probe into Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
We don’t know who these guys are. It’s highly likely that China has been sending forces to the United States in a similar manner to how Russia did it in Ukraine, according to Green.
