Brian Cole, Jr. confessed planting pipe bombs

Judge delays ruling on Jan. 6 bomb suspect's pre-trial detention

Is justice delayed justice denied in the case of a suspected Jan. 6 bomb plotter?

This week, a federal judge in Washington, D.C., postponed a critical decision about whether Brian Cole Jr., accused of planting pipe bombs, should remain behind bars before trial, as Courthouse News Service reports.

This high-stakes hearing, centered on Cole’s alleged role in placing explosive devices near the Republican and Democratic National Committee headquarters on Jan. 5, 2021, featured intense debate over his release despite a reported confession.

According to the government, Cole spent months gathering materials, learning to build bombs through online videos and video games. He allegedly targeted both political party headquarters, believing they held responsibility during the 2020 election certification process.

“By his own admission, the defendant committed these acts because he was unhappy with the response of political leaders on both sides to questions about the 2020 election results, and ‘something just snapped,’” wrote prosecutors in a memorandum.

Under President Donald Trump’s administration, such confessions demand ironclad accountability, not leniency that risks public safety.

The Pipe Bomber

Identifying the Jan 6 Pipe Bomber through Forensics

A computer program that compared the bomb suspect’s gait to that of former Capitol police officer  produced a 94% match.

A forensic analysis of a female former U.S. Capitol Police officer’s gait is a 94%-98% match to the unique stride of the long-sought Jan. 6 pipe-bomb suspect, according to a Blaze News investigation confirmed by several intelligence sources.

A source close to a congressional investigation of Jan. 6 additionally told Blaze News evidence has emerged recently that pointed toward law enforcement possibly being involved in the planting of the pipe bombs.

A software algorithm that analyzes walking parameters including flexion (knee bend), hip extension, speed, step length, cadence, and variance rated pipe bomber of Alexandria, Va., as a 94% match to the bomb suspect shown on video from Jan. 5, 2021. The veteran analyst who ran the analysis for Blaze News said that based on visual observations the program can struggle with, he personally pegged the match at closer to 98%.

Pipe bomber was a Capitol Police officer for four and a half years, left the department in mid-2021 for a security detail at the Central Intelligence Agency, sources told Blaze News.

Former FBI Special Agent Kyle Seraphin realized Friday that he was doing surveillance next door to the woman now suspected of being the Jan. 6 pipe bomber.

“The FBI put us one door away from the pipe bomber within days of January 6, and we were deliberately pulled away for no logical or logically investigative reason,” Seraphin told Blaze News Friday. “And everything about that tells me that they were involved in a cover-up and have been since day one.

Pipe bombs at Capitol on January 6 just a fake distraction?

Kash Patel released one pipe bomb document that has investigators questioning the entire January 6 story

FBI lab analysis raises serious questions about bomb timeline

FBI Director Kash Patel transmitted explosive new documents to Congress that completely undermine the official January 6 pipe bomb narrative.

The lab reports obtained by Just the News show both bombs – one planted at the Democrat National Committee and another at the Republican National Committee – were filled with black powder components and equipped with 60-minute kitchen timers.

Here’s the kicker: the FBI lab report never once uses the word "viable" to describe either device. Both bombs were supposedly planted around 8:16 PM on January 5th according to security footage, but they were discovered roughly 16 hours later and never exploded.

"When properly assembled and initiated, an IED of this sort can cause property damage, bodily injury, or death," the lab report stated. But the report offered no clear explanation for why devices with 60-minute timers lasted 16 hours without detonating.

The math simply doesn’t add up. The newly released memos reveal just how incompetent – or deliberately negligent – Chris Wray’s FBI investigation really was. A whistleblower previously told Congress that the FBI waited more than a year to request field offices canvas informants for information about the pipe bombs.

More than a year.
