September 6: First Public Hearing for the Tentative Millage rate of 6.5419.
October 1: Fire/Rescue--Lake Worth's decision to the County--will we stay with the County or formulate our own fire department.
Unless we have the Study back well before September 6 from Government Services group on how to tax, ooops, assess all the residents and businesses in Lake Worth, how do we set a millage? There's always the 2nd Public Hearing. And I guess there is always the max.
As you may recall, on May 17, 2011, the city commission unanimously approved a $70,325 Contract for Government Services to develop a plan to assess fire/rescue and to identify other services that could be thrown onto the non-advalorem portion of our property tax bill. Will it be roads next? In other words, how to stick it to the people. Hopefully, this plan will be prior to September 6 and definitely before October 1.
The other thing, of course, is the Supplemental payment to Palm Beach County for fire/rescue and whether or not that will be eliminated or substantially reduced. Either way, something pertaining to fire/rescue will appear as a special tax, ooops, assessment on our tax bill.

If the study has not been completed by now(almost 3 months). Then GOD help us.. Or is it just sitting locked away in the BCM Office
Nothing would surprise me here. Everything is revealed to the public at strategic times or we have to find out about what's going on by reading the PB Post.
Must be timing on Mulvehills part to leak the story to Willie Howard when she wants to divert the attention from something important going on in the City.. Must be while they are Kayaking
More than likely, it is the city manager and not a commissioner leaking anything.
