Former City Manager Lake Worth dead at 93

CARL L. KOPP Age 93, Sebring, FL, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 11, 2011 in Jensen Beach, FL at the home of his daughter. He passed peacefully, surrounded by loving family members.

Carl was born in Braddock, PA. moving to Lake Worth in 1956, and served as City Treasurer/Tax Collector, then City Manager of the City of Lake Worth during 1963 -1979. He moved to Sebring in 1980 and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Alta, grandsons Michael and Robert, brothers George Nowry and Trevor Kopp. Carl is survived by his children Roger (Ann), Gordon (Linda), Judy (Jim) Tomlinson, Gary (Jan), and sister, Margaret McCauley; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation 11:00 AM till 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, with a Celebration of his life at 12:00 Noon at Morris Funeral Chapel, 307 S. Commerce Avenue, Sebring, FL. I don't know about LONG, but ex Lake Worth city managers seem to lead very RICH $$ lives after they leave our fair city!
