I read restaurant reviews and take them as seriously as movie reviews. I wouldn't bother going out of the way to see a movie that was rated a C even if my favorite actor was in it. Sometimes you don't have to experience something first-hand to make a determination.
This restaurant has location and that is a lot of the experience. It will have the same thing in Lake Worth. As long as it has good, affordable food, people will come. I would prefer that they design the upstairs into a more eloquent dining room for dinner, however. That would be my personal preference...a place that the adults can go and spend the money for some quiet enjoyment and attract the Palm Beach crowd that has the money . They probably would love to go to a dining room with an ocean view. Some kid up there at night having a beer could care less.
One should ALWAYS go out and see for ones self (if Possible) before taking anyones word for anything. Don't believe everything you read and hear. Make up your own mind by seeing, hearing and touching(when legal). It is possible to miss many great movies by reading the reviews to make a decission, no matter who is in it.A very important issue was raised on thursday in that any dicussion of what or who goes into the second floor has to include the time at which the casino stays open. You can bet your bottom dollar that longboats or any bar/reaturant will want a 2am closing time. This will come up.
I'm not about to spend a bunch of money on poor food or service. I should go to some stupid restaurant and spend hard earned dollars just to discount lousy reviews. You have to be joking.
The turtle lighting is a big issue. That needs to be solved. I don't want to see this restaurant or any restaurant that might go in there hold this city up to hostage by demanding early morning closing hours. All of this will mean more public safety, more security, more meter attendants, etc. When you limit your choices to ONE, watch that they don't demand a 2am closing.

Please, don't trust reviews. If in doubt, please GO there and see for yourself. Has Laurence ever been??

Then why discount the good reviews?
