Evening Sky 2-22-26

"The Department of Veterans Affairs announced a major new step to protect Veterans' Second Amendment rights. Effective immediately, VA will not report Veterans to the Federal Bureau of Investigation's National Instant Criminal Background Check System as 'prohibited persons' only because they need help from a fiduciary in managing their VA benefits."

Read that carefully. The prior policy treated a veteran who needed someone to help manage benefit payments the same way the federal government treats convicted felons and the adjudicated mentally ill. The veteran didn't commit a crime. The veteran wasn't found by a court to be a danger. The veteran asked for help writing checks.

The practice had been in place for decades. A veteran could lose a limb, suffer a traumatic brain injury, or return home with PTSD, and the moment the VA appointed a fiduciary to help manage that veteran's benefits, the government quietly added a name to the same database used to stop felons from buying guns.

No law was passed with their names on it. A bureaucratic process simply treated financial assistance as evidence of mental deficiency, and NICS did the rest. Pam Bondi stopped it. [VA News]

The top destructive lie by Democrats --the border is secure

ESPN’s Smith Says Trump Was Right to Secure Border

Calls Out Biden for Lying About Crisis

For years, conservatives were warning anyone who would listen about the catastrophe unfolding at our southern border. For years, the mainstream media and Democratic politicians dismissed them as xenophobes and fear-mongers.

Nothing to see here, they insisted. The border is secure said Biden and Biden's Border Czar, Kamala. Go back to sleep, America.

Funny how things change. Now, one of the most recognizable personalities in sports media is saying something that might make his ESPN colleagues choke on their lattes. And what he’s admitting should make every American who was gaslit about this crisis feel more than a little vindicated.
From Breitbart:
“The borders needed to be closed. [Trump] was right to do that, but only because Biden opened them. Had Biden followed Barack Obama’s method and his plan, and what he did in deporting even more people than Trump did in his first term, you wouldn’t hear me saying that.

“But when you let anywhere from 12 to 15 million people cross the border illegally, swearing in our face, spitting in our face, while telling us it’s raining, figuratively speaking, by telling us there was no border crisis when clearly there was, emergency efforts were necessary.”
Stephen A. Smith is a man who has spent decades swimming in the mainstream media current just declared that President Trump was correct to secure the border. He also accused the Biden administration of flat-out lying to the American people about the mess they created.

Woman arrested by ICE - Overstayed her Visa by 10 years

On 18 March, 2025, Lashar Smith was apprehended by ICE agents at Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood International Airport for staying in the U. S. beyond her visa expiration date by more than ten years.

She was subsequently transferred to a detention facility in Baker County, Florida, and faced deportation proceedings under U.S. immigration law. Her partner, James Walkine, in a statement to the media, said that they were attempting to adjust her status through legal channels, but the process was hindered by bureaucratic delays.

I couldn't find any mainstream news sources which provide confirmation of the deportation outcome beyond the initial detention. Without official records (which for privacy reasons is not available to the public in individual immigration cases like this one), the facts at hand suggest that she might have been deported back in 2025. However, this is not confirmed.

As it turns out, her partner was also here illegally staying here beyond his Visa expiration date.

10% Global Tariff imposed on all countries

Trump Signs Order Imposing 10 Percent Global Tariff

President Donald Trump announced Friday that he has signed an executive order imposing a 10% global tariff on all countries, saying the measure will take effect "almost immediately."

Posting on Truth Social, Trump said it was his "Great Honor" to sign the order from the Oval Office, describing it as a "Global 10% Tariff on all Countries."

The move comes just hours after the Supreme Court struck down his earlier attempt to implement tariffs under emergency authorities.

In a second post, Trump sharply criticized the justices who ruled against his prior tariff plan.

"Those members of the Supreme Court who voted against our very acceptable and proper method of TARIFFS should be ashamed of themselves," he wrote. "Their decision was ridiculous but, now the adjustment process begins, and we will do everything possible to take in even more money than we were taking in before!"

Kavanaugh's Dissent: A Defense of Presidential Power

S

Supreme courts' ruling on tariffs--6/3

But the story doesn't end with the majority's gavel. A powerful counterargument roared from the minority. Justice Kavanaugh didn't just disagree; he demolished the majority's reasoning with precision. In his view, the tariffs align perfectly with statutory text, history, and precedent.

He argued that Trump acted within his authority under the 1977 law to regulate importation, a power historically tied to tools like quotas, embargoes, and, yes, tariffs.

Statutory text, history, and precedent demonstrate that the answer is clearly yes: Like quotas and embargoes, tariffs are a traditional and common tool to regulate importation.

Kavanaugh went further, suggesting this ruling won't be the final word. He noted that presidents could still impose similar tariffs under other laws, such as the Trade Act of 1974. His dissent framed the issue as a matter for voters and lawmakers, not judges, to wrestle with.

The tariffs at issue here may or may not be wise policy, but as a matter of text, history, and precedent, they are clearly lawful, it was said.

Closing his argument, Kavanaugh stood firm with a respectful but pointed conclusion: "I respectfully dissent." His words echo a broader conservative frustration with judicial overreach into policy domains.

Evening Sky 2-21-26

Progressive criminal justice experiments were sold as compassion. In practice, many Americans see something else: collapsing clearance rates, repeat offenders cycling through the system, and victims left wondering where accountability went.

In several major cities, murder solve rates hover near coin-flip territory. Cash bail reforms, sentencing reductions, and overwhelmed courts have reshaped outcomes in ways critics argue prioritize ideology over deterrence.

The result, they say, is a two-track system — one lenient toward violent offenders, another aggressive toward political dissidents. Whether or not it is overstated, public confidence in equal enforcement of the law is undeniably eroding.

Defund the police--Half of all murders are not solved. If you kill someone, flip a coin if you will even get identified and arrested.

Police departments are overwhelmed and understaffed. They will have difficulty gathering evidence to present a case against you. Most of them are worried about hurting you because they could get thrown in prison for it.

Catch and release with no cash bail or bail funds--If you are somehow arrested, don’t worry. Criminal justice reforms will have you back on the streets in no time.

Many blue states and cities have eliminated cash bail. For jurisdictions that still have bail, Democrat dark money slush funds will post it for you. Then your crime spree on innocent civilians can continue. Felonies are routinely downgraded to misdemeanors and misdemeanors are almost never caught. [Luthmann]

Voter ID makes sense

But anything that makes sense is difficult to pass these days.

McConnell Blocks SAVE Act — What Happened?

What happened on the Senate floor--

Senator Mitch McConnell declined to bring the SAVE Act up for a Senate vote. The bill would have required voters to show an ID when voting, a change supported by large majorities of Americans. Conservative lawmakers and many grassroots activists are angry because the measure never got a fair vote.

Critics say McConnell and his team quietly kept the bill off the calendar instead of letting senators cast their ballots and let the public see where everyone stood.

Republican voters and several House members quickly criticized McConnell for blocking the bill. They say the move protects the old guard and big donors rather than voters.

Rep. Tim Burchett and other conservatives pushed back hard, saying voters deserve election reforms that build confidence in the system. These reactions came fast and loud on social media and at town halls, where activists demanded accountability.

What Planet is Schumer living on?

Senator Mike Lee Calls Schumer’s ‘Jim Crow 2.0’ Attack on Voter ID Bill ‘Paranoid Fantasy’

Every American knows the drill. You show ID to board a plane, buy a beer, pick up a prescription, or walk into a federal building. Try cashing a check without one. Good luck. Try starting a new job without proving who you are—your HR department will show you the door before you find your desk.

These requirements exist because identity verification matters. Nobody seriously argues otherwise.

Yet when it comes to voting—the very foundation of our constitutional republic—suddenly Democrats discover that proving you are who you say you are constitutes an unconscionable burden. Funny how that works.

The Senate is currently locked in battle over the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act. The legislation would require photo ID to vote in federal elections and proof of citizenship to register.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has branded this common-sense measure “Jim Crow 2.0,” dragging out the darkest chapter of American segregation to describe a bill that simply asks voters to do what they already do at the DMV.

The comparison isn’t just wrong. It’s an insult to the Americans who actually suffered under Jim Crow laws.

Criminals are stealing $115 million an hour from American taxpayers

Expert Told Congress the Government Loses $115 Million Every Hour

And Says the Real Number Is Worse Than That

You already knew the Biden years were a disaster for the federal budget.

Now a fraud expert just testified before Congress with a number so big it makes every other Washington scandal look like a rounding error. He told senators the government is bleeding $1 trillion a year – and then turned around and said that figure is probably too low.

Haywood Talcove isn't a politician or a pundit. He's the CEO of LexisNexis Risk Solutions Government – the man who works with more than 9,000 federal, state and local agencies to stop fraud before it happens. He's been doing this for two decades.

When he sits down in front of Congress, members listen. At Senator Josh Hawley's Homeland Security Subcommittee, Talcove put a number on it: criminals are stealing $115 million every single hour from American taxpayers – roughly $1 trillion a year, nearly 14 percent of the entire federal budget.

Hawley asked him where that money actually goes.

Talcove's answer was blunt: "It goes to terrorism, it goes to child trafficking, it goes to drugs – and then it's used to purchase luxury items, cars, purses, homes. That's all funded by people like me that pay taxes."

Elections Have Consequences

Act for America

The dust from the 2025 elections has barely settled, and already we’re seeing the devastating toll of handing power to radical leftists who prioritize ideology over the well-being of everyday citizens.

From coast to coast, communities are reeling from policies that erode our freedoms, burden hardworking families, and undermine the very fabric of our nation. This isn’t just local fallout—it’s a national warning.

If we don’t stand up and fight back, the 2026 midterms could usher in even more chaos across the country.

Let’s start in Virginia, where Democrats rode a “blue wave” to sweeping victories in November 2025.

In the early 2026 legislative session, Democrats have introduced dozens of proposed tax increases, targeting everything from personal income to services as routine as dog grooming. If enacted, these measures would add new financial pressures on families already grappling with the effects of inflation.

In breaking news, the Tazwell Circuit Court on Thursday temporarily blocked Democrats from moving forward with an April voter referendum to redraw the state’s congressional maps.

Read more about it.

It's not just Virginia where Democrats lied to the electorate; we know what's happened in New York City--Mayor Zohran Mamdani—a democratic socialist communist who made history as the first Muslim and South Asian mayor after his 2025 win—is already proving disastrous just months into his term. Mamdani promised transformative change. In a way, that’s true. He’s delivering chaos. And we can't forget crazy California and other states and cities across our country.

Democrats are voting in their own demise and that of our country.

FBI Documents Reveal Trump Was Reportedly Among First to Contact Police About Epstein

Donald Trump is he onw ho blew the whistle on Jeffrey Epstein

The media spent years linking Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein. Now newly unsealed documents just blew that narrative to pieces.

And the files prove Trump was the one who turned Epstein in to authorities. Newly released FBI documents show President Trump called Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter in July 2006 to blow the whistle on Jeffrey Epstein.

The FBI interview summary from 2019 confirms what conservatives suspected all along. Trump told Reiter "thank goodness you're stopping him, everyone has known he's been doing this."

The call came right after the police investigation into Epstein became public. Trump didn't mince words about what he knew. "Trump told him people in New York knew Epstein was disgusting," the FBI report states.

He specifically warned Reiter about Ghislaine Maxwell, calling her Epstein's "operative" and telling police "she is evil and to focus on her." Trump revealed he'd already kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago for his predatory behavior.

The documents show Trump "was one of the very first people to call when people found out that they were investigating Epstein."

Residents in Lake Worth Beach are raising safety concerns about electric bikes and scooters traveling at high speeds on sidewalks, joining a growing debate across Palm Beach County about regulating these vehicles in pedestrian areas.

Electric scooters and bikes are all over the walking path at John Prince Park which does not allow electric vehicles. Even those that are not electric are dangerous as you can't hear them coming and most do not ring a bell as they are approaching a pedestrian.

The Supreme Court may have clipped one branch of President Trump’s tariff authority, but it did not uproot the tree.

In Learning Resources, Inc. v. Trump, the justices ruled that IEEPA cannot be used as a shortcut to impose tariffs overnight.

That is a procedural slowdown, not a policy surrender. The Court did not strike down Section 232, Section 301, Section 122, or any of the trade statutes that presidents have used for decades.

The headlines screamed “limits.” The reality is that leverage remains. Trump still has tools, timelines, and negotiating power—just routed through different statutory lanes.

Marxist Leftists, the big threat to our country

Marxist Leftists: The Real "Threat to Our Democracy"

"America is a Constitutional Republic; however, the Marxist leftists are doing everything they can to undermine and fundamentally transform our beloved Republic.

Allowing individuals who have violated Title 18 USC 1325 and have entered our country without authorization to have access to our electoral system, the bedrock of our representative democracy, is a threat.

As well, to count these same illegal immigrants as part of our census that determines our representative democracy is unconscionable and dangerous. There is only one reason for this: power.

Another example of how the Marxist leftists are threats to our democratic processes is found with the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC). This is a conglomeration of leftist states, and the District of Columbia, who have stated that regardless of who wins their States’ popular vote, they will only support, with electors, the presidential candidate who wins the national popular vote.

The NPVIC was introduced in 2006, and as of now, there are 17 states, along with the District of Columbia, that are signatories. The 17 States are Maryland, New Jersey, Illinois, Hawaii, Washington, Massachusetts, Vermont, California, Rhode Island, New York, Connecticut, Colorado, Delaware, New Mexico, Oregon, Minnesota, and Maine."

School kids ditch Class for Commie Protest on President's Day

Principal stuns students who walked out for anti-ICE protest

'If you stay out here, we will get your names, you will be suspended, OK? That is your option at this point'

A principal at Wilson High School in Spring Township, Pennsylvania, ordered students who walked out of class to protest Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to return to class.

"We go back to class and we're good. If you stay out here, we will get your names, you will be suspended, OK? That is your option at this point because you are operating outside the bounds of what was granted," Weber told the students.

"That event was canceled. You left school without permission. Your rights do not supersede the school. So if you understand that, that is your option."

Students ditch class for a commie protest on President's Day and the principal drops the hammer: “Back to class or suspended.”

That’s exactly how any normal school handles little Red Guard rioters.

If your district lets them run wild, (Palm Beach County did) you’re in enemy territory--pull your kids out immediately.

Supreme Court decides on Trump's tariffs

6-3 Decision by Supreme Court on Trump's tariffs

The Supreme Court ruled that President Donald Trump exceeded his authority when imposing sweeping tariffs using a law reserved for a national emergency.

The three justices who voted for Trump Tarrifs are Kavanugh, Alito and Thomas. Trump appointees Amy Coney Barrett and Neil Gorsuch just never seem to come through.

The decision does not affect all of Trump’s tariffs but invalidates those implemented using a 1977 law called the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.

The ruling blocks Trump's sweeping reciprocal tariffs and those the president imposed on Canada, China and Mexico in what he said was an effort to stop the flow of illegal drugs.

President Trump officials have previously indicated that if the Supreme Court strikes down the IEEPA-based tariffs, the White House may pursue alternative legal authorities to reimpose similar duties.

Bring Nancy Home Alive

Trump tells alleged abductors they face capital punishment if Nancy Guthrie isn’t returned alive

President Donald Trump is putting the weight of the presidency behind one simple demand: bring Nancy Guthrie home alive.

Speaking with the New York Post over the phone on Monday, Trump warned “Nancy Guthrie’s alleged kidnappers” that “very, very severe — the most severe” consequences await if the 84-year-old is not returned alive, and he confirmed he meant the Justice Department would seek the death penalty if she is discovered dead.

More Than 550 Commercial Driving Schools to Close After Checks by Transportation Department

The five-day, on-site investigations yielded hundreds of notices of proposed removals, alleging the schools failed to meet the agency’s basic safety standards.

The Department of Transportation announced on Feb. 18 the removal of certifications for more than 550 U.S. commercial driving schools that train truckers and bus drivers.

The schools were employing unqualified instructors, using fraudulent addresses, and failing to properly train applicants for transporting hazardous materials, investigators found.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration deployed more than 300 investigators across all 50 states to conduct more than 1,400 safety operations.

After the investigation revealed hundreds of safety violations, the agency served notices to more than 550 schools informing them of their proposed removal from the national training provider registry, including one school that had previously provided training for operating school buses.

The announcement is the latest development in the Trump administration’s crackdown on the commercial driving training provider industry, following the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s nationwide audit last year.

The Transportation Department also imposed stricter English-language skills requirements for commercial truckers, resulting in more than 9,500 being removed from service for failing proficiency checks.

Mamdani Taps ‘Abolish ICE’ Activist/Former CAIR Employee Faiza Ali As NYC’s New Chief Immigration Officer

New York City’s immigration policy just took a sharp ideological turn. Mayor Zohran Mamdani has appointed Faiza Ali as the new commissioner of the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, elevating a longtime immigrant-rights activist with a history of protest involvement and outspoken criticism of ICE.

Ali, the daughter of Pakistani immigrants and a former deputy chief of staff in the City Council, has framed her work as rooted in dignity and protection for immigrant communities.

Critics, however, argue the appointment signals an aggressive sanctuary posture that could heighten tensions between City Hall and federal immigration authorities.

Sanctuary cities will no longer be government funded. President Trump announced that federal funding for "sanctuary" cities and states, which limit cooperation with federal immigration authorities, will be cut off, with actions initiated in early 2026. New York is one of them. [Rare Foundation USA]

Nick Shirley exposes Voter Fraud

Investigative Reporter Nick Shirley Exposes Massive Voter Fraud in California

Investigative reporter Nick Shirley traveled to California to expose voter fraud.

California does not require voter ID, and the state’s elections go on and on for weeks after Election Day. With ballot harvesting, ballot curing, a lack of voter ID laws, and mass mail-in ballots, California’s elections are rife with fraud.

Last year, an Orange County, California, woman was arrested and charged with illegally registering her dog to vote and casting mail-in ballots in her dog’s name.

Laura Lee Yourex, 62, of Costa Mesa, illegally registered her dog to vote in California and cast ballots in her dog’s name in the 2021 Gavin Newsom recall election and the 2022 primary election.

According to Orange County DA Todd Spitzer, the dog’s vote was successfully counted in the 2021 election but was rejected in the 2022 primary.

Nick Shirley visited locations from California’s voter rolls and not one location could even verify its voter rolls.

Jesse Jackson honored by Trump

Trump Just Honored Jesse Jackson – And Used One Line To Destroy Obama’s Legacy

Jesse Jackson died Tuesday at 84, and the tributes poured in from politicians across the spectrum.

But Trump's tribute wasn't like the others.

He honored Jackson, listed everything he did to help him – and then dropped a line about Obama that nobody saw coming. Trump's Truth Social Post Lists Rainbow PUSH Coalition Support and HBCU Funding.

Trump didn't just offer hollow words. He provided concrete examples of how he helped Jackson for decades before anyone called him racist. "I provided office space for him and his Rainbow Coalition, for years, in the Trump Building at 40 Wall Street," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

That was the 1990s, when Jackson publicly praised Trump for supporting minority business initiatives. At the 1999 Wall Street Project conference, Jackson commended Trump's "sense of curiosity" and commitment to minority business development. They attended boxing matches together at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City.

Jackson took Trump seriously during both his 1984 and 1988 presidential runs when others dismissed him.

Communist Mamdani going to squeeze the wealthy

Mamdani Plans To Raise Property Taxes In NYC By 10% As Part Of ‘Affordability’ Push

Communists believe in the elimination of wealth inequality, ensuring resources are distributed based on need

Which in this case is the mismanaged city of New York.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) said Tuesday that he is prepared to raise city property taxes by nearly 10% if New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) and state lawmakers refuse to increase taxes on corporations and high-income earners.

Mamdani released his preliminary fiscal year 2027 budget proposal outlining how he intends to close a projected $5.4 billion deficit. The mayor described a property tax increase as a “last resort” but made clear it remains on the table if Albany does not act.

“Today, I’m releasing the City’s preliminary budget. After years of fiscal mismanagement, we’re staring at a $5.4 billion budget gap — and two paths. One: Albany can raise taxes on the ultra-wealthy and the most profitable corporations and address the fiscal imbalance between our city and state. The other, a last resort: balance the budget on the backs of working people using the only tools at the City’s disposal,” Mamdani wrote Tuesday on X.

“This is not a conversation on the basis of ideology." This is a conversation about a fiscal crisis. I have long believed in the importance of taxing the rich. I’ve said so publicly many a time, and I’ve long believed in the need for the state and the city’s relationship to be a fair one.

What we are speaking about in this moment, however, is not just that long-standing belief, the long-standing issues that have characterized that relationship, but a generational fiscal crisis of $5.4 billion,” the mayor said. (It's the other guy's fault!!)

He added: “And when faced with this crisis, the question is: who should pay these taxes? I believe that it should be the wealthiest New Yorkers, the most profitable corporations."

College alert used term 'active shooter' though investigators say gun was never discharged

Palm Beach State College’s Lake Worth Beach campus briefly went into lockdown Tuesday afternoon after an altercation involving three people, including one believed to be a female student and two males who are not enrolled at the college.

According to school officials, the incident occurred at 2:05 p.m. and involved a gun, though investigators with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said the weapon was never fired. As part of its standard safety protocol, the college immediately issued a campuswide lockdown.

An all-clear was given at 2:30 p.m., and normal operations resumed shortly after. One male suspect is in custody, according to the college.

CBS12 News is working to get clarification from the college on why the term “active shooter” appeared in the campuswide alert if investigators say the gun was never discharged. [WPEC-12]

Palantir AI software company locates its headquarters to Miami

Palantir Relocates Corporate Headquarters From Denver to Miami

Billionaire Peter Thiel's tech firm Palantir Technologies announced Tuesday that it is relocating its corporate headquarters from Denver to Miami, shifting the base of operations for the publicly traded data analytics and artificial intelligence firm to South Florida.

The announcement was made during the Defense Tech Leadership Summit in West Palm Beach, where Shon J. Manasco, a senior counselor at the company, said the firm is now officially headquartered in Florida’s “Gold Coast” region.

Palantir provides data integration and AI software platforms to government agencies and commercial clients, including work related to defense, intelligence and enterprise operations. The company was founded in 2003 and became publicly traded in 2020.

Company officials did not release details about how many employees will be based in Miami or whether the move will result in new hiring locally. Palantir has maintained offices in multiple U.S. cities and internationally, and it was previously headquartered in Denver.

The Florida Council of 100, a private, non-profit, non-partisan organization of Florida business leaders who advise the state's governor issued a statement welcoming the relocation, describing it as part of broader economic development efforts across the state.

“Palantir’s decision to relocate its headquarters to Florida’s Gold Coast is a powerful validation of where growth is happening in America,” said Michael Simas, President and CEO of the Florida Council of 100.

In a Presidents’ Day memo, the White House trade hawk says the so-called experts got it wrong again. Inflation falling. Labor markets steady. Growth solid. Navarro argues this didn’t happen despite tariffs—but because of them.

His thesis: while U.S. importers may write the check at Customs, foreign exporters bear the real economic pain through price cuts, margin compression, currency shifts, and lost volume.

In short, nations dependent on U.S. consumers are “eating the cost.”

Democrats own the Government Shutdown, again

Trump blames Democrats for shutdown

Touts falling gas prices and crime numbers aboard Air Force One

President Trump pinned the ongoing partial government shutdown squarely on Democrats Monday, telling reporters aboard Air Force One that the impasse over Department of Homeland Security funding has "nothing to do with Republicans" and accused the opposition of resisting election integrity measures because "they want to cheat in elections."

Trump spoke while flying from Palm Beach International Airport back to Washington, framing the shutdown as a consequence of Democratic obstruction on voter ID, proof-of-citizenship requirements, and immigration enforcement.

He also claimed a string of economic and public safety wins for his administration, pointing to low inflation and falling fuel costs.

The partial government shutdown continues with no deal in sight. At its center: funding for the Department of Homeland Security and a widening disagreement over what conditions come attached to it.

Every time the debate turns to border enforcement or election security, Democrats find a reason to change the subject. The SAVE Act asks for something most Americans consider common sense: prove you're a citizen before you vote. That this is a dealbreaker tells you everything about Democratic priorities.

Is Justice Sam Alito considering retirement?

Justice Alito's 20-year milestone and upcoming book fuel retirement speculation

Legal scholars are reading the tea leaves on Justice Samuel Alito, and they like what they see.

Two prominent law professors have pointed to a constellation of factors, including Alito's age, his recently passed 20-year tenure mark, favorable political conditions, and the curious timing of a forthcoming book, as signals that the 75-year-old justice may be preparing to step down from the Supreme Court.

To be clear: Alito has said nothing. His office has said nothing. The Supreme Court did not respond to requests for comment.

This is informed speculation, not a confirmed development. But the speculation itself is worth examining, because the logic behind it is sound, and the stakes are enormous.

The political math is simple. A retirement now, or within the next several months, gives President Trump a clean path to nominate a successor and gives the Republican Senate a clean path to confirm one. Wait too long, and that calculus could change dramatically.

Kevin O'Leary on Marco's speech in Munich

Rubio’s Munich Speech: The China Alarm Bell

Kevin O’Leary sat down on FOX Business and laid it out plain. He praised Marco Rubio’s Munich speech. He called it one of the clearest foreign-policy warnings we’ve heard in a long time.

Rubio got a standing ovation in Munich. People noticed. O’Leary noticed more than the applause. He heard the target. He says it’s simple: China.

Here’s part of the transcript O’Leary gave, unedited:

O’LEARY: “This all started a few weeks ago at Davos on the famous speech Carney gave, the prime minister of Canada, with the words ‘new world order.’ That did not go well with the Trump administration, as you remember.”

“Actually, it hurt relations with Canada at this point, which hasn’t really restarted on the tariff front.”

“The point is though we are getting to a place now where there’s only adversary, and I think it’s time to just call it out, China. That’s it.”

“And so you either are with us, so to speak, against China, or you’re not.” “Because China is getting ready for world dominance.

“I call it what it is. Economically, militarily, AI, power, you name it, those guys are not fooling around, and if we don’t wake up and get together on this, they will be the superpower.”

“Now, if you’re okay with that and you want to live in that kind of a world, well, I don’t. So I’d like to see this thing worked out pretty damn fast.”

Whoopi named in Epstein files

Whoopi found in Epstein files

News popped that Whoopi Goldberg’s name appears in the Jeffrey Epstein files.

The View, the most despicable group of liberals, waited a couple weeks and then talked it through on air. The tone was familiar. Calm. Dismissive. And quick to point at President Donald Trump.

The hosts treated the item like a nothingburger. They said anyone could be on a list. They leaned into the idea that being named doesn’t equal wrongdoing.

Read about the big Whoopi

But they would not dare say the same thing about Donald Trump, the person thay love to smear daily pretending that he went to Epstein's Resort with the rest of the perverts.

Little Saint James, also nicknamed as Epstein Island, is a small private island in the United States Virgin Islands, southeast of Saint Thomas. It was owned by American financier and convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein from 1998 until his death in 2019. It was allegedly used as a base of operations for underage sex crimes.

AOC in Munich

AOC in Munich

There's a reason this trip exists, and it isn't subtle. One unnamed Democratic insider told the Daily Mail what everyone already knows, "She has strong domestic policy credentials, and strong progressive credentials, but if you're going to be on a national ticket and be president or vice president, you have to have some knowledge of foreign affairs."

"Some knowledge" being the operative phrase. In a 2018 PBS interview during her first congressional campaign, Ocasio-Cortez herself admitted the obvious, "I am not the expert at geopolitics on this issue."

Since then, she's reportedly been receiving foreign policy advice from Matt Duss, who spent five years as Bernie Sanders' foreign policy advisor, and getting briefings from the Center for International Policy.

Whether that's enough to stand on a stage in Munich and be taken seriously by European heads of state is the gamble she made.

Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino walked into a Speedway gas station in Minneapolis on January 21. He and multiple federal agents needed fuel and supplies while working immigration enforcement operations.

The manager refused to sell them anything...Not just coffee or snacks—fuel for their official government vehicles.

Conservative activist Cam Higby caught the whole thing on video as Bovino walked out, followed by the manager shouting "I don't support ICE, and nobody here does."

The GSA runs the SmartPay Fleet Card system—the government payment program that lets federal agencies buy fuel at participating stations nationwide.

7-Eleven owns Speedway. Speedway accepts the GSA Fleet Card at thousands of locations. Federal law requires non-tactical government vehicles to use the Fleet Card system. This one manager's political decision could end federal fleet access for this corporation. We hope so. [patriotpulse]

Girls just want to be girls

Trans congressman corrects self for misgendering 'boogeymen,' gets ferociously mocked

'But he didn't correct himself when he said 'strongMAN.' Strange'

A transgender member of the U.S. Congress is being mercilessly mocked after correcting himself for using the word "boogeyman" instead of "boogeypeople" Saturday at the Munich Security Conference in Germany.

U.S. Rep. Sarah McBride, D-Del., whose birth name was Tim McBride, joined former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on a panel titled: "Girls Just Want to Have Fundamental Rights: Fighting the Global Pushback."

During the discussion, McBride, who is a man pretending to be a woman, uttered this gem: "A strongman's greatest asset is scarcity. When there is scarcity in jobs, when there is scarcity of opportunity, they pick boogeymen, or in this case, 'boogeypeople,' and they blame them."

Huh?

"Boogie shoes, boogie nights, and doing the boogie woogie are major social issues for strong men."

Munich Security Conference

The Munich Security Conference pulled back the curtain

When world leaders gather on the global stage, there is nowhere to hide. The questions are serious. The stakes are high. And the spotlight is illuminating. What we witnessed was not just diplomacy—it was an audition for 2028.

America does not have the luxury of electing leaders who require on-the-job training in foreign policy.

We face an aggressive China, a revanchist Russia, a radicalized Iran, and a world growing more unstable by the day.

At the same time, we are confronting a crisis at our own southern border—one fueled by policies that have allowed migration to be abused, manipulated, and weaponized. A system designed for lawful immigration and humanitarian protection has been overwhelmed, exploited by cartels, and strained beyond capacity. [Act for America]

AOC failed in Munich. So did Gretchen Whitmer. And Gavin Newsom was a total disgrace. Why were they there to begin with? The rumored goal is that they want to be President of the United States by dissing their own country and president on the world stage? What a strategy.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio was brilliant. He also addressed one of the most urgent issues facing the West: borders. As he stated plainly, “We must also gain control of our national borders, controlling who and how many people enter our countries.” He added, “This is not an expression of xenophobia. It is not hate. It is a fundamental act of national sovereignty.”

He received a thunderous standing ovation that was not accidental. It was recognition of seriousness, steadiness, and vision.

Trump Wins in Supreme Court Over DEI Claims

Supreme Court Told Eight States To Use Their Own Money After Trump Froze These Massive DEI Wealth Transfers

Eight Democratic states sued Trump for freezing millions in so-called teacher shortage grants

They claimed they needed the money immediately to keep programs running.

Their justification? The programs promoted DEI or discriminated based on race and sex.

California, Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Colorado, Maryland, and Wisconsin sued immediately. The Supreme Court just told them to pay for it themselves. Five Conservative Justices Say States Have "Financial Wherewithal" To Cover It

The Court sided with Trump 5-4 on Wednesday.

The majority issued an unsigned opinion that basically shrugged at the states' emergency. "Respondents have represented in this litigation that they have the financial wherewithal to keep their programs running," the justices wrote. If the states win later, they can sue to get the federal money back.

That could take years while programs scramble for funding right now.

Chief Justice John Roberts joined the three liberal justices in dissent, though he didn't explain why.

Trump White House Exposes Obama's SAVE Act Hypocrisy With 2012 Photo

Obama joked about the lack of gray hair in his license photo as he complied with Illinois law requiring government-issued photo identification for early voting.

He didn't complain about suppression that day.

He didn't sue Illinois for Jim Crow tactics.

He smiled for the cameras and handed over his ID like every other American who needs one to board a plane, buy cold medicine, or pick up a prescription.

Johnson laid out the damning timeline nobody in mainstream media wants you to see. ICE officers had been shot at while executing lawful enforcement operations in Minneapolis.

Federal vehicles rammed by protesters, rocks thrown at agents trying to do their jobs.

And through it all, Muslim Keith Ellison and Minnesota Democrats weren't calling for calm – they were filing lawsuits, comparing agents to Nazis, and watching as tensions escalated toward tragedy.

He pointed to the reality ICE agents faced every day...Armed protesters with semi-automatic pistols coordinating through Signal chats. Federal officers knowing colleagues had been attacked, vehicles targeted, the next encounter could turn deadly.

The senator put responsibility exactly where it belongs. "A tragedy was going to happen and you encouraged it. And you ought to feel damn guilty about it."

Evening Sky 2-16-26

Hillary Clinton posted on Facebook that she's attending the Munich Security Conference (it ended yesterday) for "conversation around our most urgent challenges, including maintaining continued unity in response to Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine."

That phrase "maintaining continued unity" is code language.

It means keeping European leaders committed to weapons shipments and endless war in Ukraine.

Trump's administration is pursuing peace negotiations and winding down the failed Biden policy of blank-check military aid.

Clinton high-tailed it to Munich to lobby against that approach with no official authority to represent the United States.

Several Democratic officials attended, (mostly Trump haters) with many seen as potential 2028 presidential contenders:
* Gavin Newsom: Governor of California.  Trump Hater
* Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: U.S. Representative from New York, who spoke on a panel about populism.  Trump Hater
* Mark Kelly: Senator from Arizona.  Trump Hater
* Gretchen Whitmer: Governor of Michigan.  Trump Hater
* Elissa Slotkin: U.S. Senator-elect/Representative from Michigan.  Trump Hater
* Lindsey Graham: Republican Senator from South Carolina, who led a separate delegation.
* Jeanne Shaheen: Senator from New Hampshire.  Trump Hater

Congress jets off to Munich as the DHS shutdown kicked in at midnight Friday

The Department of Homeland Security shut down at midnight Friday after Congress failed to pass either a full-year funding bill or even a two-week temporary extension. And where were your elected representatives when the lights went out?

Fox News reported that eleven senators were on their way to Germany for the Munich Security Conference — a beer-friendly gathering about European defense — while the actual defense of the United States went unfunded.

The optics alone would be devastating for any institution that still cared about optics. But Congress long ago stopped pretending.

At least a handful of House Democrats, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also made the trip. House rules technically prohibit official congressional delegations during a shutdown — a detail that apparently troubled no one enough to stay home.

House Appropriations Committee Chair Tom Cole didn't mince words during a hearing on the shutdown's impact:

"I'm sure Munich is a great place. I've been there many times. The beer is outstanding. But we don't need to go to a defense conference someplace in Europe when we're not taking care of the defense of the United States of America."

Read about the useless Congress

The Democratic playbook here followed a familiar rhythm: block the Republican-led solution, blame Republicans for the result, then leave town before anyone can ask follow-up questions.

And Slimy Newscum is there as well and bad-mouthing Trump and America...such a cool guy.

CCP is “actively targeting U.S. political systems, all the way down to local elections"

California Chinese man illegal agent of the CCP

Termites don’t announce themselves; they work quietly, invisibly, gnawing at the foundation while the homeowners sleep soundly above. By the time you notice the damage, the structure is already compromised.

For years, Americans have watched with growing unease as reports trickle out about elected officials and their staff maintaining troubling connections to foreign powers. We’ve been told we’re paranoid, xenophobic. You know, supposedly seeing shadows where none exist.

Then a case comes along that proves the shadows are very real indeed.

This week, a California man named Yaoning “Mike” Sun was sentenced to four years in federal prison for acting as an illegal agent of the Chinese Communist Party. Sun, 65, spent years spreading CCP propaganda, conducting surveillance on behalf of Beijing, and—perhaps most troubling—helping to elect a local politician in Southern California.

Sun wasn’t some distant operative working in the shadows; he served as campaign treasurer for Eileen Wang, now the mayor of Arcadia, California. Court documents reveal he was also her fiancé.

An Anti-Ice protest functioning as cover for violence

Federal agent hospitalized after attack during anti-ICE protest in downtown Los Angeles

A federal agent was attacked and hospitalized Friday during an anti-ICE protest in downtown Los Angeles after suspects assaulted the agent and then disappeared into the crowd of marching demonstrators.

The LAPD confirmed the incident in a post on X before 1 p.m., noting that the suspects who carried out the attack melted back into the protest — a tactic that makes the march itself a shield for violence.

"Suspects who attacked the Federal Agents have blended into the March."

The LAPD also confirmed that the Los Angeles Fire Department was dispatched to treat the injured agent, who was transported to a hospital in unknown condition. Police did not specify which federal agency the agent worked for, and as of Friday afternoon, it remained unclear whether any arrests had been made in connection with the attack.

The protest, described by local outlets as a student walkout, blocked traffic in downtown L.A. and included acts of vandalism at the Federal Building. Demonstrators also threw items at police.

Our Economy is perfect

'Perfect Trump economy': Peter Navarro says 'everything is hitting on all major cylinders, and the best is yet to come'

'It's probably one of the best years in modern American economic history.

Not hyperbole, that's what the data is telling us'

Appearing on "Sunday Morning Futures" with Maria Bartiromo on the Fox News Channel, Peter Navarro, senior counselor for trade and manufacturing, highlighted economic successes in the first year of Trump taking the helm from the high-inflation era of Joe Biden.

"It's the perfect Trump economy in 2026. It's what we call the Goldilocks economy," said Navarro, alluding to conditions being just right from the children's story of that title.

"The last time we saw what we're seeing now was 1998. We're seeing the stock market over 50,000 Dow, that's Wall Street. But we're also seeing rising real wages. That's Main Street."

"This is happening because of tariffs not in spite of them."

RINO Globalist Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski has come out against the bill (DC # (202) 224-6665 ) and really needs a strong GOP primary challenger in 2028!

Our current hurdle is the 60-vote filibuster rule, where 60 Senators must vote for cloture for the bill to advance, and then 51 votes are needed to send the bill to President Trump's desk, where he has indicated he wants to sign it.

The filibuster rule in the past helped us defeat Amnesty legislation 8 times in DC that would have already added 10+ million illegals to the Democrats' voter base, making today's efforts to save the nation and Trump's election wins impossible. [ALIPAC]

Haiti's TPS Designation

Federal Judge Upholds Block on Trump Administration’s Termination of Haitian 16-Year TPS for 350,000 Migrants

After reviewing country conditions and consulting with the appropriate U.S. government agencies, Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem determined that Haiti no longer meets the conditions for its designation for Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

See Termination of the Designation of Haiti for Temporary Protected Status, 90 FR 54733 (Nov. 28, 2025).

Haiti’s TPS designation and related benefits were slated to terminate on Feb. 3, 2026. On February 2, 2026, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issued an order staying the TPS Haiti termination. Miot et al. v. Trump et al., No. 25-cv-02471-ACR, D.D.C.).

Haiti has had a TPS for 16 years. There is nothing "temporary" about that.

Under the previous administration, Temporary Protected Status was abused to allow violent terrorists, criminals, and national security threats into our nation.

TPS was never designed to be permanent, yet previous administrations have used it as a de facto amnesty program for decades.

The House Homeland Security Committee hosted a hearing featuring Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement Todd Lyons and Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott and Democrats acted as you would expect.

Furious over enhanced immigration enforcement across the United States, Democrats on the committee either misrepresented the incidents that have grabbed the nation’s attention or put forth insane questions to Lyons and Scott. Instead of getting facts on the record, the Democrats were more interested in getting their soundbites in.

Exerting Maximum pressure on Iran

Trump, Netanyahu Plan to Press Iran to Cut Oil Sales to China

President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed at a White House meeting on Wednesday that the U.S. would work to reduce Iran's oil exports to China, Axios reported, citing two U.S. officials briefed on the issue.

"We agreed that we will go full force with maximum pressure against Iran, for example, regarding Iranian oil sales to China," Axios reported on Saturday, quoting a senior U.S. official.

Asked about the report, China's foreign ministry said on Sunday that "normal cooperation between countries conducted within the framework of international law is reasonable and legitimate, and should be respected and protected."

China accounts for more than 80% of Iran's oil exports.

Replacement Theory

Booker Plays Dumb About Replacement Theory

What happened at the hearing

During Jeremy Carl’s confirmation hearing for a State Department role, Senator Cory Booker asked about “Replacement Theory” and acted as if he did not know what the phrase meant.

Carl did not dodge the question. He responded that Democratic immigration policies appear to promote demographic change in ways critics describe as replacement. The exchange was short but revealing, and it left many conservatives saying the question should not have been necessary in the first place.

Why conservatives care about the term--

Replacement Theory is a phrase used to describe the idea that policies can be designed to change the makeup of a voting population. Critics on the right say that large scale immigration and expanded voter drives that favor one party effectively alter the electorate in predictable ways.

Supporters of stricter immigration and simpler admissions rules argue they are defending national identity and the rights of current citizens to have their voices heard.

One viral clip shows Rep. Gene Wu saying non white voters can overtake power structures because they now form a majority.

The Great Replacement theory, or "grand remplacement", is a far-right, white nationalist conspiracy theory suggesting that white European populations are being deliberately replaced by non-white immigrants, particularly from Muslim countries, with the help of elitist policies. Coined by French author Renaud Camus in 2011, this ideology claims that mass migration and lower birth rates among white people are causing this demographic shift.

Trump Says He Will Sign Orders to Require Voter ID for Midterms

Republican Sen. Susan Collins became the latest to support the SAVE Act.

President Donald Trump said in a Truth Social post Feb. 13 he plans to sign an executive order requiring voter ID for midterm elections this year as the SAVE Act remained on life support in the Senate.

“We cannot let the Democrats get away with NO VOTER I.D. any longer,” Trump posted. “Even Democrat Voters agree, 85 percent, that there should be Voter I.D.”

“This is an issue that must be fought, and must be fought, NOW! If we can’t get it through Congress, there are Legal reasons why this SCAM is not permitted. I will be presenting them shortly, in the form of an Executive Order,” Trump said.

The U.S. House passed the SAVE America Act on Feb. 11. Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) led the legislation that would require Americans to prove their citizenship when registering to vote.

Under the bill, citizens would have to show a photo identification when casting ballots, including mail-in ballots.

A former foreign service officer told the Senate Judiciary Committee that Somali nationals lied about nearly every detail on their immigration applications — names, ages, marriages, jobs, finances, and intent to return home — in what he described as systemic, routine fraud stretching across his career at U.S. consulates.

Simon Hankinson, who served at consulates in Ghana and Nairobi and now serves as a senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation, didn't mince words in his testimony before Senate Republicans.

"It's an unfortunate fact: People lie to get visas and immigration benefits. The more corrupt and poor a country is, the more visa fraud."

And Somalia, by virtually every international measure, sits at the bottom of both lists. More than eight in ten Somali households in the United States are on one or more forms of welfare. A population that arrived through a fraud-riddled system now draws on nearly every federal benefit program that exists — immediately upon arrival. [Breitbart]

The FBI was forced to release the first records after President Donald Trump's assassination attempt on July 13, 2024, following Judicial Watch's lawsuit against the bureau. A year and a half after the shooting, very little is known about the assassination attempt, the failures leading up to it, and the shooter himself.

In the lawsuit, Judicial Watch asked for all records and communications related to Trump's would-be assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks, after the FBI failed to comply with a July 2024 FOIA request.

As a result, the FBI was forced to release 37 heavily redacted pages revealing the extent to which law enforcement was aware of "suspicious" activity leading up to the deadly shooting.
