The Department of Justice (DOJ) sued Alabama Friday over its effort to remove non-citizens from the state’s voter rolls.

Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen initiated an effort in August to remove non-citizens from the voter rolls after identifying 3,251 registered voters that had been issued non-citizen identification numbers by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The lawsuit alleges Alabama’s removal of voters from its state registration list within 90 days of the election violates federal law, according to the DOJ’s press release.

“I was elected Secretary of State by the people of Alabama, and it is my Constitutional duty to ensure that only American citizens vote in our elections,” Allen said in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Man accused of attacking pro-life activist with pepper spray

A man has been arrested and charged with aggravated battery in a public place, a Class 2 felony, along with a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct after police say he pepper-sprayed a pro-lifer praying in front of a Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Waukegan, Illinois.

According to Lake and McHenry County Scanner, police have charged Robert Outland with the crime, which occurred on the morning of September 18. If found guilty at trial, Outland could receive up to seven years in prison.

Reports say police were called to the area across the street from the Planned Parenthood facility on N. Lewis Ave., where pro-life advocates with the 40 Days for Life campaign were gathered.

At the time, Outland was harassing the pro-lifers, ripping down their signs and kicking their table. The victim attempted to intervene, putting himself between Outland and the other pro-lifers who were present, when Outland pulled out pepper spray and sprayed it in the victim's face.

With government funding set to expire on September 30, Schumer stated that the Senate may need to take the lead on advancing a funding measure, despite the usual protocol where spending bills originate in the House.

“Later today, I’ll file cloture on a legislative vehicle that will enable us to prevent a Trump shutdown,” Schumer said, referencing former President Trump’s push for stricter voter registration rules as a condition for avoiding the shutdown.

Johnson’s proposed funding plan, which included a requirement for proof of citizenship to register to vote, failed in the House with 14 Republicans joining Democrats to block the measure.

“The reporter found that there’s a lot of good evidence that it actually is happening,” Pat Gray of “Pat Gray Unleashed” comments. “I don’t know if it’s prevalent, I don’t know if all Haitians are eating all cats in the area, I don’t know. But apparently, it’s happened.”

While it was just outside of Springfield where this happened, Gray notes that “it was a Haitian refugee, and it was a cat, and it was being barbecued.”

Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., said he was informed by a whistleblower within the Biden-Harris administration that there are five different known "assassination teams" — "three inspired by other governments" — that are hunting Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Due to these security failures, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks was able to take aim at and fire shots at the former president from a rooftop positioned just 130 yards from the rally stage.
