Message of thanks from Maryann Polizzi

Maryann Polizzi

To all of you who supported me:
Here are some prophetic words by Tennyson that were used by Ted Kennedy when he conceded in the Presidential election to Jimmy Carter--

"I am a part of all that I have met
Though much is taken, much abides
That which we are, we are---
One equal temper of heroic hearts
Strong in will
To Strive to seek, to find, and not to yield,"

For me, a few hours ago, this campaign came to an end.
For all those whose cares have been our concern, the hope still lives, and the dream shall never die.

While the scope of Senator Kennedy's and my campaign were as different as you can get, those words resonate with me. I am part of all the people I met walking and campaigning in our great city, and they are part of me.

My will is very strong, and I will strive to help our city and it's citizens and to not yield in face of opposition to what I know to be in our best interest.

The work goes on, the cause endures, hope still lives and the dream shall never die.

I want to thank, Colby Mims, my campaign manager, Linda Brower, Asst Campaign manager, Karen Ryan, my Treasurer, Additionally, I want to thank Jeannette Alfaro, Jeniffer Mora, Allan, Paula, Lynn and John who did so much for me.

Huge thanks goes to those who donated to my campaign. Also, to Rustico, Mama Gizzi and Blue Front Barbecue for doing my meet and greets. I hope I have not left anyone out. Each and every dollar felt like a message saying "we believe in you."

I want to leave you with just a few final words:
I thank you
I will never forget you
I love you and I love our city
And I am not riding off into the sunset never to be heard from again.
To all of you, Love you.

Quite possibly one of the most cordial campaigns in Lake Worth history. Thanks for keeping the mud on the ground.

Had a nice chat while she toured our neighborhood, classy lady. Slhe would be a great mentor for many here.
