Playing Games

Comment Up

City Hall and the City Commission-- Are they still playing games?  The regularly scheduled meeting for September 2 will now be on September 9.  The September 16th meeting has been rescheduled to September 23. I would guess that meeting two weeks in a row is a heavy burden.

When will you certify the election results, commissioners?

I am sure we will see a lot of games and trick from this mayor and commissioners. No worries though as they will all be voted out come the next round of elections, most are fed up with these goons like they were with Romano when they got rid of him. These people in power will not stop until they get what they want. Do they listen to the citizens?

It seems elected officials never learn from past history!

If they were real representatives, they would be back at the drawing board, trying to put together a real plan to start to fix our infrastructure and bring everyone together in agreement, not act the way that they are behaving. Very bad for our city.

@10:43...most elected officials have no idea about where we've been and make no attempt to learn. Every reality can be twisted. They listen to their close friends to tell them and one/half of that is made up jargon. They don't have their finger on the controls and allow staff to come up with spending sprees. People in LW spread a lie so often it is believed by half the people. The liar even ends up believing it as truth. They call people names and smear their reputations--it is fun for them. They file complaints with Tallahassee and receive joy out of the attempt to discredit and bring someone down. Miserable lot in love with their own hatred.

I am astonished that you do not realize that "you" do the same thing..
"Fun" to use "smear tactics"?
This Commission is out of control with lies, etc?
I remember your post about Lisa Maxwell when you portrayed her pictorially as the Devil.
And remember the campaign against Mr Varella? When a mailer went out with the words written in blood that he was not qualified b/c he "killed dolphin babies"?
Lynn, please,.....when a news conference was called to declare Scott Maxwell a Racist?
Jeez. I thought those days were behind us, but I see in your blog, the rabble rousing attempt....yet again.
Your posts seem to want to arouse hate and suspicion - why the hell can't you drop the Conspiracy theories and work WITH and FOR the town with the Commission that we have?
We all know about 'the Best Commission Ever" in your opinion...do you want them back?
Truly?
Their special interests which were extreme, resulted in us having a filtered water system, but never addressed the pipes that it flows through.
Cart before the horse?
I truly feel that instead of seeing both sides of the coin, you just jump out with hatred and vitriol.
And I don't understand why....it's always our town...
Not a single Commissioner has had an agenda of trying to take us down.
None of them....even the ones I didn't agree with.
Why can't you feel the same way and work WITH the system instead of against it?

Wow, long post, anonymous at 10:49.

What about the news conference on Scott Maxwell. I wrote about this slimy tactic and I spoke in front of the city commission condemning a certain commissioner for pulling the crap at his fundraiser at nature's Way.
I write what I see. I wrote about her crap down in Miami on stilts and talked about at the city commission meeting as shameful behavior. Her silly antics were few and far between.

These are not smear tactics but pointing out the inconsistencies with what this dais does. Lisa, although an intelligent woman, was not as qualified as Suzanne Mulvehill who was vilified by "your" side.

Our Reverse osmosis system is the best around and we are proud of it. It was the best decision made for our city. As far as pipes are concern4ed, I don't recall the utility department or whoever was in charge of this ever giving a report on it. And what "special interests" are you talking about? There were none.

I will work with and for the commission and report positively once it is above board and not until that time. You weren't during last year's election; you weren't during the baseball park fiasco and you definitely were not during the bond referendum. The BCE was honest and made some great decisions for Lake worth. When they didn't, I wrote about it such as the Mentoring Center.
I campaigned for Varella the first time around. As it turned out after he won a few years later as mayor, he resigned early and left LW holding the bag with a special election that cost us $25,000 for a temporary mayor of 3 months. What a waste and totally irresponsible but he was playing politics. Reprehensible. I wrote about that too. When I disagreed with Susan Stanton, I wrote about it.
So, you miss all of the blogs over these years that brought out the facts, not just your political twist and opinions.

As far as i am concerned, you need to calm down and look at the picture, not through rose colored glasses. There is no hatred here although you like to spew that message to discredit this blogger. Politicians need to get smarter and do their homework rather than casting blame on their critics.

Give me something to work with...I will write about it and look at it as clearly as possible.

To the sniper--actually I have put the costs of the RO in writing. Do your research.
Also, I don't plan on publishing snipe attacks here. Move on.
If you are really into revisionism, go to that other blog. Thanks.
