I was a Poll Watcher. I tried to vote at 7am. The machine did not take my Driver's License. I went home, came back one hour later, and all was working well. We all got through it. The referendum FAILED at the ballot box. I understand that the City Clerk, Pam Lopez, is conveniently away and won't be back until Tuesday where she will certify the election. In the meantime, Mayor Triolo and the crack-jack legal team is looking to reverse this election just like it did in the election of 2013.

The Mayor can't have it both ways.
Either EVERYONE'S Vote counts all the time or it doesn't. We won the heights vote in March 2013 our win declared (retroactive) 'Null & Void'.
The Clerk (I was told) never filed the election paperwork as required
by her position. (Correction?)
Then there's the little legal mess that the Mayor (& Dais) can't advocate for the road bonds either way in their elected position but could tell us personally how they feel. Good gosh they had nearly $70K to win and now they lost and are whining about it! REALLY!
Ask Pam about the people's heights
vote and what she did to DISENFRANCHISE the voters then! Why does she all of a sudden care now? Ask her how a poor town can afford so much in legal fee's?
The Mayor can't have it both ways.
She's trying. Just got a call from a property owner in New York who called to say "thanks."
Goodness!! A real leader would accept reality and assure its people that although this plan failed they got the message and will find a way to make L W the city we all want to be proud of. Then get to work asking for ideas if city officials have no clue! City loves workshops and it would be a great opportunity for new ideas and input from the community. Part of the reason this plan failed (even with so much $,media support and an enormoys amount of educational forums) is it wa THeir plan, not the Peoples.

Weetha, this Mayor creating legal fees for the town?
Please tally up the lawsuits entered into during the time of Commissioners, golden, Jennings, etc and the Commission prior...
Why always the extreme negativity?
Mayor Triolo complains about the voting process because the vote did not go her way. This after she spent $ 50,000 of taxpayer money to campaign for the bond issue.
