Clear Channel with a Clear Vision

Comment Up
Money really is the root of all evil. Now advertisers are pulling out of talk-shows such as Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and even Sean Hannity. Why? FOR SPEAKING THE TRUTH or giving an opinion that is opposite of the socialistic Democratic point of view that is so predominate in America and what controls the media. Can you even imagine Sean Hannity no longer referring to Obama as "the anointed one?" No one will be able to express an opinion? Eventually, we will never get fair and balanced news.

Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, and Beck are four of the top seven rated shows on talk radio. Combined they have an average weekly listenership of 46.5 million +, but without big time corporate advertisers these shows are in jeopardy. Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, Beck and all the other right wing talkers may be confronted with the choice of either toning it down, or facing extinction, says Politicus USA. 98 advertisers have pulled out. Of course advertisers want people to spend, spend and spend some more even if they go bankrupt doing it and those doing the spending believe in the entitlement mentality that is so pervasive now.

What ever happened to the First Amendment? There is no right of free speech when corporations that are given breaks by this government, even some having been given Stimulus right out of the pockets of right-wing conservatives, be allowed to have that much clout to stop and silence a different point of few. Money controls how we think and if that trend continues, we will have a New World Order.

Clear Channel told the Associated Press: "We respect the right of Mr. Limbaugh, as well as the rights of those who disagree with him, to express those opinions." Thank God there is one corporation with some brains and refuses to be bullied by left-wing extremists. Clear Channel has a commitment to diversity. It's name fits its vision. It is not a "slut."

Its mission statement:

We believe a commitment to diversity is the key to unlocking every person's greatest potential. Our diversity is one of our greatest strengths and is an important component for the successful integrations of our various divisions. Diversity is an integral part of our strategy for competing successfully in the marketplace of today and tomorrow - Mark Mays

Our differences can be our greatest strength...if we let them - Lowry Mays

Well, anonymous, I am one of the millions on millions that listen or watch these people with a different opinion than yours...people observing the mess that is getting bigger and bigger that this country is in...watching the hypocrisy of Obama...I'm one of the people who do not believe that Americanism is socialism and communism and want that trend to end.

List the advertisers that received stimulus money and dropped Limbaugh or Hannity.
Don't you think the corporations reaction and decision was exactly as you wrote. They want you to spend so they made the calculated decision that more people would stop buying their products, costing them money, why advertise? What does this have to do with Obama? Do you really think Obama controls all corporate decisions?
Limbaugh, Hannity and Beck are bomb throwers for profit. The worst kind. Look at them now. Beck reduced to an online show, Limbaugh scrambling and Hannity keeping his fingers crossed he's not next. If the country is 60% right leaning like they say it is people would be lining up to support them, not running away. And you'll keep blaming the liberal left for THEIR problems?

You're right! It's all about the money. We are a socialistic nation right now and even with all you liberals out there making everything worse, Obama has a 45% approval rating...about 45 points too high.
