On March 16, 2012 members of PBSO District 14 Street Crimes Team and Community Policing Unit, with the assistance of additional deputies from District 6, Reserve Unit and members of Palm Beach School District PD, conducted a “Prostitution Sting Operation” in the 1500 block of North Dixie Highway and 700 block of South Dixie Highway.
This was a “reverse” operation where three undercover female deputies were on the street posing as prostitutes. A total of 15 males were arrested for Solicitation of Prostitution and 1 for Lewd Lascivious Behavior. All subjects were transported to the Palm Beach County Jail and lodge there, pending bond or first appearance. All of the defendant’s information was forwarded to Gail Levine for inclusion in the P.I.P.E. diversion program.

I think these reverse operations are wrong and a sin, setting people up this way, they do the same thing to the poor gays in public parks. They need to really locate all these "real" whore houses that are really operating and attracting all these users and shut down the pimps and real whores that exist. There is something about these reverse operations that just do not seem right and are not really getting to the real prostitutes out there in our community.
In Ft. Lauderdale and Wilton Manors, the judges found the police departments tactics illegal as they were trying to set up gays enticing them with decoy gay guys as cops trying to lead on and catch gays doing inappropriate things in local parks and beachs in that area. It is all a setup, the judges there found that the police were no longer able to do that. The poor gays are always persecuted all over, tested, taunted, called names and judged so much. The poor gays are never able to fully feel they can walk around hand and hand with their partners in public without someone judging them like from the heterosexuals, it just is not fair how the poor gays are setup so often. Pridefest of the Palm Beaches is this weekend in Lake Worth and in Bryant Park, the parade is at 11:30 on Sunday, we need to show all that gays are normal folks too, often misfairly judged and improperly treated so often.God bless the gay community. May they one day soon have all equal rights that the heterosexual community takes for granted daily.
The police do a lot that does not always seem logical or fair.
I've noticed an uptick in this activity on Fed. Hwy and Dixie Hwy in the last few months, so glad to see they ran this sting. I'm not sure which is more effective, targeting the customers or targeting the gals, but I'm glad they are targeting someone.
