Bill of Rights Day

Comment Up

"It is the duty of the patriot to protect his country from its government."
~Thomas Paine

"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add within the limits of the law, because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual."
~Thomas Jefferson

Thanks Lynn for sharing! Great quote by Jefferson, it reminds me now how today gays do not have all the same rights that their heterosexual counterparts here have and how now more than ever, gays should have the right to share their love and marry and receive all the same 300+ marriage/tax rights that straight people now receive. It is the majority rule over the minority, and it just is not fair. Too, if our country is supposed to have a separation of church and state, them gays should have the same freedom to marry and be able to have all the same immigration rights for their bi-national partners. The Supreme Court really needs to intervene and change all of this soon. Gays do not have all the same freedoms that heterosexuals have in this country, it must change and be made more fair and balanced. The heterosexuals have oppressed the gays long enough here in the USA, always using the bible and morality issues to justify why they do not deserve the same rights, we need to change all of this and make it right. They have in many countries except for the USA. Equal rights are not special rights! Stop the tyranny toward gays, let them be together and share their love in all the same ways that heterosexuals can. Allow for gays to marry and bring their bi-national partners from other countries here just as heterosexuals are and have been allowed to do for years now, make things fair and equal for ALL!

Thanks for speaking out and defending our city manager's rights and recognizing the tyranny of Maxwell.

What does any of this have to do with the city manager being fired or maxwell?
