Quote of the Day - Allen West

Comment Up
After the House voted on its commemorative coin, (Bill to create a commemorative coin for the U.S. Marshals Service’s 255th birthday), former Army colonel Rep. Allen West said being in a group less popular than lobbyists and used-car salesmen has been an adjustment.

“I have gone from being a part of an organization that had the highest approval ratings in the country to an organization that has the lowest approval ratings in the country. So my self-esteem has incredibly dropped...but I think we need to pay heed to that.”

~Rep. Allen West

This legislation for the commemorative coin is budget neutral and will not cost the tax payers anything. The U.S. Marshals Museum will get up to $5 million from the sale of the coins.

Those elected officials in Florida who sponsored the commemorative coin:

Representative Jeff Miller (FL-1)
Representative Steve Southerland (FL-2)
Representative Corrine Brown (FL-3)
Representative Ander Crenshaw (FL-4)
Representative Richard Nugent (FL-5)

I love Allen West. Get lost Frankel and Murphy.

Maybe saying things like this are what makes it tough on him.

"If Joseph Goebbels was around, he'd be very proud of the Democrat Party because they have an incredible propaganda machine," West told reporters in the Capitol. "I think that you have, and let's be honest, you know, some of the people in the media are complicit in this, in enabling them to get that type of message out."

Whatever outside the beltline hopes anyone had for him, he's now in the echo chamber that makes politicians say stupid and hurtful things, and act for the same reasons.

There will always be people who disagree. I don't expect left winged liberal Democrats to agree with Allen West on anything, even if what he says is the truth. He has the guts to tell it like it is.

Lynn you ARE aware that Joseph Goebbels murdered his 6 children then committed suicide when he realized the nazi jig was up right?
Does it take guts to compare the Democratic Party of the United States or anyone else for that matter to a Nazi war criminal, or just an absurd amount of stupidity? Keep on supportin' your man Allen. In time you will be proven wrong about this one too.

Well, it really depends on how many mountains people want to make out of molehills to find "stupid."

"It's not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." –speaking at a San Francisco fundraiser about his troubles winning over some small-town, working-class voters, April 11, 2008
or maybe this one--
"I've now been in 57 states — I think one left to go." —at a campaign event in Beaverton, Oregon, May 9, 2008

Lame... what do Obama's quotes have to do with your anti american hero Allen West's latest idiotic episode?
Maybe Allen doesn't know that he just compared a large number of Jewish voters in Palm Beach County to Nazis.
I love that quote about angry people clinging to their guns and religion. Can't get enough of it. Thanks for bringing it up again. I think it comes straight from the Fox News archives. Did Westie say something about the Fox propaganda machine?

What about this one then?
And we can see the positive impacts right here at Solyndra. Less than a year ago, we were standing on what was an empty lot.But through the Recovery Act, this company received a loan to expand its operations. This new factory is the result of those loans.
