"First Amendment is not absolute," says Tim Walz

YES IT IS, TIM!

Minnesota Gov. Walz Attacks Free Speech, Claims ‘No Guarantee’ Of First Amendment Rights

In a move that has left many conservatives and free speech advocates reeling, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) has openly challenged the fundamental principles of the First Amendment.

In a recent interview with MSNBC’s The ReidOut, Walz boldly stated that “there’s no guarantee to free speech on misinformation or hate speech, especially around our democracy.”

Walz’s comments come as a direct affront to the Constitution. The governor, who has aligned himself with the more progressive wing of the Democratic Party, claimed that “misinformation” has been rampant in discussions surrounding elections, the January 6th events, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Read about it...

Joe Biden has said the same thing many times...it's no wonder why Democrats want to destroy the Supreme Court.

The First Amendment: The First Amendment to the United States Constitution prevents the government from making laws respecting an establishment of religion; prohibiting the free exercise of religion; or abridging the freedom of speech, the freedom of the press, the freedom of assembly, or the right to petition the government for redress of grievances.

Try yelling "fire" in a theater, Lynn, to test out this theory.

@5:06...that was not what Walz meant at all. He and his progressives want to stifle speech if it does not agree with their agenda. Nothing to do with yelling "fire" in a theater. If elected, a Harris-Walz administration would declare all-out war on the First Amendment under the guise of fighting “misinformation.”

"First Amendment is not absolute," as you quoted Walz saying it, is actually true. But Walz never actually said that, according to the story you link to. It was the author's interpretation of his words and not his actual words.

The rest of it is certainly debatable but, again, the 1st Amendment is not absolute and yelling "fire" in a crowded theater is a demonstration of that.

The slaves for Satan just want to silence anyone who worships Jesus or are against being a slave!

@9:10...of course that is not how a Democrat would interpret what he said: "he has also vowed to crack down on voter intimidation, and it was in this context that he claimed the First Amendment is not absolute." He's good at spewing misinformation so he's condemning himself and wants to shut down himself.

I don't like him, won't vote for him, nor watch any tv channel that is complicit for this demonic slave party. The Media is the worst, most complicit and non partial slaves for Satan! Censureing by not reporting Fair news or all or the truth today is one of the biggest problems we see from our legacy news, that is not right!
