Lake Worth Bond Survey

Comment Up

Several weeks ago I got a live telephone survey conducted by Clearview Research LLC. The main purpose was to ascertain whether the city should go forward with issuing bonds for our roads. The person on the other end asked all sorts of personal questions: age, race, if I own a home, gender, party affiliation, etc.

The polling questions were prepared by two people one of whom is Steven Vancore. Steven J. Vancore is the president of Clearview Research and who has a master’s degree in Marketing Communications from Florida State University,  nearly 30 years’ experience conducting polls and focus groups throughout the state. He serves as an adjunct instructor in the Masters of Applied American Policy and Politics program at FSU

Vancore's approach to good polling is to poll registered voters--"You draw respondents from the active voter file and know what their registration is before asking  (It’s a little more complex than that, but you get the idea). This way you can model your sample to look pretty close to what the electorate is most likely going to look like and you are not dependent on people telling you what they think you want to hear."

And one Lake Worth voter with whom I have spoken swears his polling interview was recorded.

One thing that we do know now is, they had the voter rolls in front of them. They knew if you lied about age, your name or Party affiliation as an example and could analyze your credibility.

Now tomorrow night we will, hopefully, find out the results and all the answers to the previous questions I posed in blog of June 28.

200 people were polled. At a cost of 8,000. That money would have fixed a lot of pot holes.Which 200 people were "chosen"? Friends of the current three stooges? So that Bornstein who authorized this study could go to their friend Keven Thompson and crow "Look Palm Beach Post, our survey shows that 99% of the people in Lake Worth want another bond!!!"
One of the questions concerned the likability of the Commission. Excuse me Pam Andy and Scott, but if you want to fudge a "they all love us and this survey is proof" scenario, pay for it with your own damn campaign war chests. They're friggin big enough !
This survey recorded people without their knowledge. How is that even legal?
And once again, Mcvoy and Maier were not told about this survey.DAMNIT ! These two men are our elected officials! Can you imagine what would happen if Maxwell were told about this crap after the fact???
The City Manager needs to be fired. Going behing his Commissioners backs, and when caught with his pants down REFUSING to give them the info about this survey they asked him for? Bornstein's answer was "I'll have a private one on one meeting with you before the July 7th POT HOLE PROPAGANDA meeting".
Well FUC$ that ! We don't govern in the dark,we govern from the dais! IN PUBLIC! You know,in front of us little idiots that you keep trying to steal money from !!!
Bornstein needs to be fired. We need a city manager that can go out in daylight without bursting into flames.
And any new bond? Hell no.

Here's some fireworks from
The Declaration of Independence
or "Why We Got Ticked at the King"!

"In every stage of these oppressions
we have petitioned for redress in the
most humble terms: our repeated petitions
have been answered only by repeated injury.
A prince, whose character is thus marked
by every act which may define a tyrant,
is unfit to be the ruler of a free people."

Bornstein has been a tool bag of the corrupt 3 from the start. For all his flossy rhetoric about the sunshine law, he himself is the one who continues to flout this law all the time with his secret meetings with the trio. He is the conduit for the government in the dark and is subject to the sunshine law, but never in compliance with it. He exempts himself. And he of course was awarded a 5 year contract with a big raise for this atrocious behavior by none other than Scott Maxwell, the manipulator in chief.
If we had a decent and above board IG I would say this should be reported. But since this exmilitary tool bag was the first to facilitate the appropriation of our beach behind closed doors to Hudson Holdings---
It's corruption at its zenith. Next I would expect an even bigger request for the bond to finance their latest steal of public land for the Braves. And Scott will dance away with his million to Collero's to celebrate.
Maybe try the IG anyway and document and publicize that he endorses campaigning on the public dime in a partisan manner done completely outside of the sunshine law.

Weetha you forgot the best part

For taking away our charters, abolishing our most valuable laws, and altering fundamentally the forms of our governments:
For suspending our own legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

I'm actually all for polling, but why spend so much money to get the opinions of so few people. Why not do an online poll, if you are worried about duplicates, send a PIN number or code in everyone's utility bill.

This is a corrupt ,rigged poll. You can bet that the tragic trio gave all of their handpicked friends a copy of the script and directions on what to say.The three pieces of crap turn Lake Worth brown yet again.
