Christy Goddeau, Esq.
I'm not sure when this happened, as Glen Torcivia has already told me that he doesn't normally respond to citizens so therefore I haven't bothered to ask him but...
The name of his firm used to be The Law Office of Glen J. Torcivia & Associates, P.A.
Now the name is TORCIVIA, DONLON, GODDEAU & ANSAY, P.A.
It appears that Christy Goddeau got a partnership. And why not? She is smart, beautiful and has done a superb job for Lake Worth and this present commission. Perhaps the partnership was due to all her dedication and hard work in the supposed over-throw of the Heights Amendment that was won by nearly 57% of the voters, a vote this commission refuses to acknowledge and ignores to this day.
Remember this when you go to the polls on March 10 that John Szerdi was against a low-rise downtown, against the people who won the vote. He still is. And he still wants his way.

Sorry, but I don't see the connection. You're really stretching your conspiracy theories lately, don't know if it's just election time making you desperate or you're starting to think like weetha pitbull peeble. Remember when she came to a commission meeting with a tube of toothpaste and told everyone the government was controlling us through chemicals in the toothpaste? Wow, that was a good one. She really sees what the rest of us don't.
I don't have to look for conspiracies---they are all around us. this blog has nothing to do with a conspiracy...just an observation.
I brought the toothpaste and spoke about the government (forcibly medicating an entire population with a carcinogenic, chemical drug) FLUORIDE that dumbs ya down and makes you complacent was well researched and accepted fact as evidenced by large populations demanding fluoridation of our water supply STOP!
"...a new study published in the Journal of the American Dental Association confirming fluoride as a toxic substance that actually destroys teeth..." So it's not about your teeth!
What you don't see is what you don't want to see & I didn't either when I found the answer.
Ask yourself how the people in Hitlers concentration camps just didn't run away or even put up a real fight? How did the smell of rotting flesh from shallow/no graves not cause a rebellion? FLUORIDE. They mostly went willingly to the showers; Elizabeth - (a camp survivor - can be seen at 441 & Southern w/signs) was lucky to be in the real water showers during her stay but many millions were not as lucky - ask her about the fluoride and how well it worked then & how well it is working now! She experienced the most wicked ways of man and still sees it happening!
She really saw what the rest of us didn't.
Lynn, no one can take a nice little story and turn it into a political point better than you can. I get chuckles all the time. Keep up the great work.
It is a wicked web they are weaving to deceive. Connecting the dots is like a puzzle - all of a sudden the pieces come together and creates a clear picture - a picture of the truth and how all this IS connected!
It's all political - that is the point! Great job Lynn
I have to say that I think this is one of the worst commissions in the last 30 years that I have been around here. I voted for 45 feet in our downtown and these little twerps just can't get over themselves. Talk about dictators.
she received the promotion because she was beautiful?? cmon Lynn, its 2015.......
Anonymous 10:15 AM, for you and all the ill-informed voters, the height limit in our downtown WAS lowered to '45 when our comprehensive plan was revised after the current commission took office. Building & zoning codes and land use matters are controlled buy governments in that way. But for those that don't really know how those things are controlled and regulated, issues like that can be very confusing.
Anon @ 11:13 -
Heights are not limited when 3 votes can change them. Not to worry, I am not confused. But you might be . . .
Do you know what Planned Development means? Probably not. Section 23.3-25 in our code. I will copy and paste for you, because the internet can confuse people ;). I will also link to it, all you have to do is "click" and the mother of all loopholes will open right up for you :)
Intent. The intent of this section is to encourage through incentives the use of innovative land planning and development techniques to create more desirable and attractive development in the city. Incentives include but are not limited to:
(1)
Relaxing or waiving of height setback lot dimensions and lot area requirements;
(2)
Allowing an increase in density or a decrease in minimum living area per dwelling unit; and
(3)
Permitting uses or a mixture of uses not normally permitted in the underlying zoning district.
Planned development districts can occur in all residential commercial and industrial districts with the exception of the convenience commercial district.
Here's a real chuckle . . . we make Planned Development conditional upon the size of the parcel, then . . . in the same paragraph we say "well, nevermind". If our brilliant leadership sees fit to allow it, then it must be good! See below:
Minimum area required. The minimum area required for a residential planned development district shall be five (5) acres, unless otherwise provided in these LDRs. However, any area of lesser size may be approved for residential planned development zoning upon findings by the planning board or historic resources preservation board and the city commission that one (1) or more of the following conditions exists:
A.
Particular circumstances justify such reduction.
B.
Requirements for RPD zoning and the benefit to be derived from such zoning can be derived in such lesser area.
C.
Permitting such lesser area for RPD zoning is in conformity with the comprehensive plan.
But wait, Anonymous . . . don't leave yet. There's more chuckles to be had here. I'm sure Wes and the gang are pretty pleased that they slipped all this in on us. This is maybe the best part. I won't copy & paste anymore, I know it's hard to read this stuff. Here's the thing: the developer will have to provide a professionally prepared master plan of the project. Once the project has been approved, the developer's master plan instantly becomes our new legal and approved zoning code. It's magic! Really, some of the language is laughable. At least, we sure guffawed.
"Particular circumstances justify such reduction". Really? What circumstances? How particular? Don't worry, your brilliant leadership will sort it all out for you.
I find it rather curious, Anonymous, that you believe heights are limited to 45 feet by the commission. Then why is HH building a 65' hotel? Do you know that the zoning allows 65' hotels? I know. It's confusing.
You're welcome.
Laurel--you meant anonymous at 12:41. Thanks for your comment!!
The other comment was about my comment on Christy being beautiful. I never said it was some sort of requirement for her promotion but it helps to be attractive and smart too! She's just doing her job and I have no ill will towards her.
